Am using an Iphone 3GS. I upgraded to IOS 5.0.1 a few month back. My wifi worked great.. Now it will connet to the network but not to internet. i have tried all possible troubleshooting steps and still cannot get this resolved

I had an app which disables an iPhone to connect to the internet via mobile network. In the meantime I have deleted that app but it still affects my phone. For example iPhone shows that 3G sign on the top (next to the time) but it is unable to open any website. Is there anything I can do about it?

View 6 Replies View Relatedmy BB used to connect to my wireless network but for some odd reason it doesnt anymore: it recognizes the network but cannot connect to the internet. On the other hand, it connects to any other network: ive successfully connected to many friends wireless and many restaurants' wireless without any problem. Its worth mentioning that my BB used to connect fine with my homes wireless and i just woke up one day to find that it isnt working anymore (the wifi sign remains gray, in the "wifi connections" there is a connection and theres a white line in the black box instead of a tick.Is there any way to fix this?

When I go into settings and connectivity there is no option to select or search for WLAN. When I try to add new access point it tells me that my network destination needs to be set first.Any ideas what I need to do please?
View 4 Replies View RelatedVery often my Iphone 4s (with full coverage and 3G signal correctly dispalyed) loose connection to the internet, then it continues to look for 3g connection for a long time with no joy (so it never switches automatically to Edge...) and by then it can't do calls (if I try calls ends immediately...) neither sends sms. It stays blocked, restarting sometimes doesn't work, the only solution I've found so far is to witch off/on the 3G function. After that off/on, iPhone starts immediately to work fine again, in 3G modality too. I'm not 100% sure, but I noticed this problem only after updgraded to iOS 5.1. Any way to figure it out without disabling/enabling 3G all the time?

I find it very strange that the carriers have no information on this. If Apple has a iphone that connects to the 4G network. How come they have not informed the carriers? I just spoke with Verizon and they have no information of this that I was informed of yesterday by Apple. I upgraded my daughters phone to an iphone 4S 16G and could not get the promotion, because as far as Verizon understood this phone only operates on the 3G network.

Okay so there's this WiFi network at school. It is unsecured, and my teacher always connects to it. On my iPhone 3G it never shows up, though after I scan for networks using Stumbler (Stumbler says it's not hidden btw) it appears in the settings. So I click on it and it says "Cannot connect" (or something along those lines) and after the third try it disappears again. I tried using SpoofMAC to spoof my mac address to 11:11:11:11:11 and that didn't work.

I cannot connect to my wi-fi network. The phone finds it but when I choose it, it simply tells me that it is unable to join the network. I am thinking it is a password issue but the phone never asks me for my password. The wi-fi is locked so it needs a password. I do not have this problem with my laptop or my Ipad so I know the wi-fi network is working correctly. I just can't figure out how to get the phone to ask me for my password. Having bought an iphone (G3) and tried to connect to the network, it shows me the HUB No., which corresponds to the number on the back of my router.
It then asks me for a password. I assume this is the one also on the back of the router. However when I enter this I get a message 'Unable to connect to network'
Consequently if I use my phone to get to the internet, I am charged.

Is there a way to connect my iPhone 4s to my wifi network without the password? This is my home network but unfortunately it was setup years ago and I have no way of getting the password for it. I've been able to connect my laptop to it without the password by pushing the button on the netgear router but it does not work when I try with my phone. My laptop and desktop are both connected and have iTunes so I was hoping I could do it that way but I've had no luck. I've also had no luck resetting the router and I'd rather not buy a new one.
