I have mysteriously lost connectivity with verizon's 3G data network. Any apps that require internet connection won't load, emails aren't coming through, can't connect to itunes or app store, send texts, etc. If I connect to wifi everything works fine. Voice calls are fine. I did a hard re-boot on the phone. Everything is up to date. Running OS 5.1

The other day while playing around with it I dialed *22807 and it went to Verizon's activation line but I am not getting my hopes up on anything right now.
I recently updated my blackberry software. EVerything worked fine, I has no problem updating. When I put my new sim card in (brand new sim, never been used), my phone registerd me on the verizon wireless network, even though I am livning in south africa with a south african sim card. I can send sms and make phone calls, but that it is! Before I did my sim swop and system update, everythin worked fine on this phone. I cant bbm, use the internet etc etc.I have tried everything. Tried to resend registerstation message, manually connected to 3G vodacom network and resent registration msg. I have called my service provider. I have rebooting. I even tryed restoring data from a recent backup i did when my phone worked, and that did nothing. EVERYTHING, and im on my final straw. I just want a working phone.

Several times while she's had the phone at work on her desk, plugged in and charging, it has shown SOS where the signal meter is and she lost all service. No phone calls, no email or messenger, etc. She went into manage connections and it showed T-Mobile as the wireless network one day, and AT&T another day, but this is a Verizon phone. How can that happen?

I really now need it to connect to Verizon. When I take it into the store the techies are at a loss. Should I contact Motorala directly? I receive this error: Activation failed, Unable to activate mobile data service. To try activiation again touch Try again. I find it very strange that the carriers have no information on this. If Apple has a iphone that connects to the 4G network. How come they have not informed the carriers? I just spoke with Verizon and they have no information of this that I was informed of yesterday by Apple. I upgraded my daughters phone to an iphone 4S 16G and could not get the promotion, because as far as Verizon understood this phone only operates on the 3G network.

Okay so there's this WiFi network at school. It is unsecured, and my teacher always connects to it. On my iPhone 3G it never shows up, though after I scan for networks using Stumbler (Stumbler says it's not hidden btw) it appears in the settings. So I click on it and it says "Cannot connect" (or something along those lines) and after the third try it disappears again. I tried using SpoofMAC to spoof my mac address to 11:11:11:11:11 and that didn't work.

The phone recognizes the network, but after i put in the password, the grey loading circle just spins endlessly on my chosen network without connecting. I've tried restting the network setting, restting the router, and checking for updates.

I cannot connect to my wi-fi network. The phone finds it but when I choose it, it simply tells me that it is unable to join the network. I am thinking it is a password issue but the phone never asks me for my password. The wi-fi is locked so it needs a password. I do not have this problem with my laptop or my Ipad so I know the wi-fi network is working correctly. I just can't figure out how to get the phone to ask me for my password. It should do it without any prompting, but for whatever reason it does not.

View 5 Replies View RelatedOk so I bought an env2 off a guy on craigslist. I dropped my old one in a puddle but I really loved my env 2 so I bought a used one from someone on craigslist. When I went to activate it I discovered it was on revol's network, I dont live in the city hence I can get coverage on revol. Still says verizon all over it when you turn it on and off. I am not very savvy with cell phones but I am with a computer. I took it to the verizon store and they tried to put new firmware on it but it didnt work. I have a tough time beleiving that it can go from verizons network to revols but not back, if anyone has a way that I can flash the phone back to verizon.

Having bought an iphone (G3) and tried to connect to the network, it shows me the HUB No., which corresponds to the number on the back of my router.
It then asks me for a password. I assume this is the one also on the back of the router. However when I enter this I get a message 'Unable to connect to network'
Consequently if I use my phone to get to the internet, I am charged.

Is there a way to connect my iPhone 4s to my wifi network without the password? This is my home network but unfortunately it was setup years ago and I have no way of getting the password for it. I've been able to connect my laptop to it without the password by pushing the button on the netgear router but it does not work when I try with my phone. My laptop and desktop are both connected and have iTunes so I was hoping I could do it that way but I've had no luck. I've also had no luck resetting the router and I'd rather not buy a new one.
