Sony Ericsson :: Elm J10 - How To Insert SIM Card?
Nov 1, 2010
I have just bought this phone and wanted to know people's reviews on it especially for music, camera etc . Also anywhere I can download a guide that tells me how to insert the SIM etc. into the phone .
When i switch my phone on a message comes up on the screen saying "insert phone sim card", or view demo for this phone! it will not let me acess the phone at all apart from emergency calls.
My k850i only works with a few sim cards, but when i try to use other sim cards it shows "insert sim".I've searched the whole net.Does anyone got a solution for this?
The story is my C905 got splashed and some buttons on the keypad stopped working. I sent it to SE and they said they returned it unfixed because of the water damage and corrosion that spreads. However, when I put my SIM card back it, it now says "Insert Correct SIM" even though the SIM card works in my W810. They even replaced my keypad and every button works. After looking up my SIM lock info, everything says 0.Does anyone what happened and how to help?
I've bought a SE c510 recently. Maybe a month ago. All was working fine until a couple of days ago, it started giving me error message. First, it will say Inactive Sim. Then, it will turn itself on, and give me this error message: "Insert Sim or View Demo Video first" It takes more than a couple of on/off remove battery cycles before it functions again. My Sim is definitely not inactive. Cause At times that I don't get this error, it works. I have also updated to the latest firmware as of 06/27/10. I still get the errors. Is there s aolution to this? I have been using SE Phones for a long time now and I don't usually have issues like this.
I use Elm. While writing a text message, I often need to insert someone's number from contacts list. For this purpose, I should be able to look up contacts while writing a text message, and insert the required number in that message. I know many vendors do provide such mechanism. Is it not possible in case of SE?
It's doing that whole "Can not charge battery, please insert a sony ericsson battery" when it is a Sony Ericsson battery Is there anyway to fix this without going to the store you got it from, its the third time this has happened and im sick of having to return it then go three weeks without a phone.
My Sony Vivaz was working properly and then suddendly applications stopped working. Then I noticed the applications I had installed in the memory card are not longer displayed on the screen, and when I try to take a photo it says there is no memory card and that they will be stored in the phone's memory. Additionally, when I try to reinstall the applications I always get the message File error. What is happening to my phone? How can I fix all these problems?
I have a Sony Ericsson Aino. I bought a new SIM card and now when I receive SMS' it always saves them to SIM memory not to the Phone Memory.I want to save them messages to the phone memory because the SIM can only store a few messages. What I have tried to do:I have done a Phone Repair via PC Suite.I have gone to Menu -> Messaging -> Messages -> Settings -> Save to (Selected Phone memory). These still haven't solved my problem.
I transferred a film onto my M2 memory card which then doesn't work. When I try to delete this it says cannot delete as the file is protected. Can anyone help me with this? The film is taking up 1.12GB of space and I want to get rid of it.
I bought a Sony Ericsson C510 before 7 months ago and now I confused with such a problem which always gave the message "Insert Sim or view demo" and "Inactive SIM" always. And it is already damaged to my SIM also (SIM was worked perfectly when I have this problem). So I bought a new SIM and insert it and again my phone gave me same error. But my new SIM is work properly in other phones now also. I already updated the firmware of the phone. But still it not detecting the SIM.
It can't find built in 8GB memory card. Few weeks it saw memory randomly. And now doesn't sees at all. Guy from the phone service said, that my phones main PCB is broken or so, and it can't be fixed as my device is no more pro ducted. Computer doesn't sees phone as memory too. What can i do, to fix it?
inserted sim card with all contacts messages etc from previous phone (Nokia 6233) and no trace of them on my contacts on the Elm (new, received today). Checked out support but no success - am sure this must be a simple problem to solve - anyone out there have the answer?
I was thinking if it possible to make 2 sim card work on the k850? I remember in the past there was a small connection cable between the 2 sim card or something like that on nokia phones.can it be on k850? And if yes.dos it need a application or spicale softwear for that?
I have a problem with my Sony Ericsson Elm - when I try to save something to my memory card everything seems to be okay, however when I then try to view what is saved on my memory card I get the message "Empty Folder". I then have to turn my phone off ad back on again for everything to reappear in my memory card folder. But then if I try to save something again to my memory card the cycle starts again and I get the "Empty Folder" message once again.
My Sony Ericsson is just a few months old and I have had a persistent problem with my 2GB memory card. The main problem is that it keeps losing my photos and in other folders like Music there are folders with strange names which appear and you cant delete them.
I just received a m2 card from a friend who didn't need it anymore, but for some reason my phone is unable to detect it. My card reader is able to detect it, and i can access it through my phone while it's connected in file transfer mode. However, my phone says there is no memory card inserted, and my computer is unable to detect the card when the mobile is connected in phone mode. I've tried formatting it in both FAT and FAT32 with several different cluster sizes, but it makes no difference. Would appreciate some input!
I was just reading the review over mobile-review.com on the Vivaz http://www.mobile-review.com/[....]onyericsson-vivaz-u5i-en.shtml Somewhere down under the topic 'Memory', they'd mentioned that 'on the memory card and it is of class 8. In many menus you can see some sluggishness if you use the card from the box. When you change the card the speed goes up dramatically, so I strongly recommend doing this trick.'
The card that came with my Satio is a class 2! which apparently is the slowest! http://www.sdcard.org/developers/tech/sdhc/ I too have noticed the lag in the picture gallery and at places where the album art gets displayed. Can someone confirm with me if they have used a class 10 card say 16gb and if they have seen any improvement? If it works, I am planning on getting one.
I recently had my phone fixed, but before hand I saved everything to my memory card. How when I go to my music and pictures, it says that there are none, even though they're on my memory card. How can I make it so that the pictures and music are in my media files?
I have a Sony Ericsson X10, changed out the 8gb micro sd with 32 one. Phone won't read it and states it is damaged and needs reformatting. Yet it won't reformat the Micro SD. Plug it into my computer and it recognizes it as a 32GB card. MediaGo recognizes it as a 2gb card. All software, phone and mediago has been updated.
My 350a doesnt see the memory card. When I go to the file "file manager" and move over one to the "on memory stick" it states "memory stick not inserted"The memory card works fine, as I can remove it, insert it into a M2 adaptor, then into my PC and access/retrieve files.I have tried reinstalling the software on the phone via the update service, I have reset the phone (master reset)I have also formated the memory stick but still no success When I attach the phone to the PC via the USB cord the PC does not see the memory stick through the phone either. Is there something that I have missed or am not doing that I should be?
I inserted the M2 card into the card reader, copied a few files and then took off the reader and put it back on the cell phone. Now, it wouldn't get the card. Again put it on the card reader, clicking on it, says that: Do you want to format? What to do to recover my files in it?
My Sony Ericsson W595, on Vodafone can not read my memory card. It was working properly until last night when I clicked on Media & Photos, and I was told I had no pictures. I went to file manager and onto the memory card files and it said 'no files'. Does anybody know how to fix this or what is wrong with it? My phone memory is still normal and everything else functions properly, except for my memory card. I updated it and I even checked if its placed in properly but nothing seems to help. My memory card is a San Disk M2 with 2GB Memory storage.
I just need to know where the 2gb memory card included within the Hazel phone (on 3 network in UK) is made, i.e. China or Taiwan etc. The reason I ask is that I bought this phone and i think the card has been replaced with a used one.
