Jul 25, 2010Looking for some advice I just started using W995 it was my husbands and he has had no problems. Today I got the phone and have been transferring stuff of my own e.g. photos, mp3s etc using windows explorer. When I transfer them to a new folder on the memory card I get weird garbled looking files as well appearing in the folder.
I have tried: Formatting the memory card. Deleting the folder (which I have to do by switching the phone of and back on first as it says it cant delete as there are files in). Adding a new folder same thing happens. I can upload a picture if it helps.

Nov 16, 2010I just bought W205, couse my good old W880i died on me. In start there were some broblems, because it didnīt recognise any of music files from my 2G memory card. Well i run software update, even it was up to date and hey, it allmost worked. Now the music player regognises mp3 files just fine, but files that are in m4a format, (that i got most of my music) is not regognised. It cant handle them in proper way. It shows songs names, but dont put them in proper albumwiew, and wont play them at all. Thatīs very weird, because i had no broblem with them on my old W880i. If i go to filehandling and browse memorycards files from there, they works just fine, but that is not actually musicplayer, isnīt it! So. How can i play my music files in this MUSIC-phone i just bought?

Jul 2, 2010My Sony Vivaz was working properly and then suddendly applications stopped working. Then I noticed the applications I had installed in the memory card are not longer displayed on the screen, and when I try to take a photo it says there is no memory card and that they will be stored in the phone's memory. Additionally, when I try to reinstall the applications I always get the message File error. What is happening to my phone? How can I fix all these problems?

Jun 8, 2010I have a problem with my Sony Ericsson Elm - when I try to save something to my memory card everything seems to be okay, however when I then try to view what is saved on my memory card I get the message "Empty Folder". I then have to turn my phone off ad back on again for everything to reappear in my memory card folder. But then if I try to save something again to my memory card the cycle starts again and I get the "Empty Folder" message once again.

My card reader is able to detect it, and i can access it through my phone while it's connected in file transfer mode. However, my phone says there is no memory card inserted, and my computer is unable to detect the card when the mobile is connected in phone mode. I've tried formatting it in both FAT and FAT32 with several different cluster sizes, but it makes no difference. Would appreciate some input!

Oct 26, 2010My Sony Ericsson W595, on Vodafone can not read my memory card. It was working properly until last night when I clicked on Media & Photos, and I was told I had no pictures. I went to file manager and onto the memory card files and it said 'no files'. Does anybody know how to fix this or what is wrong with it? My phone memory is still normal and everything else functions properly, except for my memory card. I updated it and I even checked if its placed in properly but nothing seems to help. Sep 4, 2010I have bought a Sony Ericsson W395 but cannot transfer music files - or at least I can transfer the files using Windows Media player (connecting via a USB cable and using the 'Mass Storage' option) but although the files appear on Windows Media Player I cannot find them anywhere on my phone! I have the same experience using Windows Explorer. I cannot download the Sony PC suite as it is not compatible with Windows 7.

I connect it, drag and drop in the normal way and it copies normally. I then disconnect the phone and when I try to play the music it isnt on the menu on my phone. I reconnect the phone and the music is not there when I browse to my computer. Have tried 2 separate memory cards, and in 2 different HTC phones and still get the same problem.

Jul 2, 2010Got my Vivaz this Friday and it seems to have a fault with the card reader from factory. My Vivaz won't talk with the supplied 8GB MicroSD card or any other MicroSD card. The phone will notice if there are a card or not in the reader but can't access it, just reporting a faulty card.
Inserting or removing using Vivaz menu commands works and tells whether or not a card is inserted. Have tested three different MicroSDs 2,8 and 16 GB all works with Win7 and a X10 Mini, the Vivaz can't read or write to none. Sadly the Vivaz is useless with just the phone memory.
