I've had my vivaz for over two months and can't store directly to my memory card or transfer pics/music etc from phone memory to card even my more techie friends can't figure it out.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Sony Vivaz was working properly and then suddendly applications stopped working. Then I noticed the applications I had installed in the memory card are not longer displayed on the screen, and when I try to take a photo it says there is no memory card and that they will be stored in the phone's memory. Additionally, when I try to reinstall the applications I always get the message File error. What is happening to my phone? How can I fix all these problems?
View 1 Replies View RelatedGot my Vivaz this Friday and it seems to have a fault with the card reader from factory. My Vivaz won't talk with the supplied 8GB MicroSD card or any other MicroSD card. The phone will notice if there are a card or not in the reader but can't access it, just reporting a faulty card.
Inserting or removing using Vivaz menu commands works and tells whether or not a card is inserted. Have tested three different MicroSDs 2,8 and 16 GB all works with Win7 and a X10 Mini, the Vivaz can't read or write to none. Sadly the Vivaz is useless with just the phone memory.
Looking for some advice I just started using W995 it was my husbands and he has had no problems. Today I got the phone and have been transferring stuff of my own e.g. photos, mp3s etc using windows explorer. When I transfer them to a new folder on the memory card I get weird garbled looking files as well appearing in the folder.
I have tried: Formatting the memory card. Deleting the folder (which I have to do by switching the phone of and back on first as it says it cant delete as there are files in). Adding a new folder same thing happens. I can upload a picture if it helps.
I just bought W205, couse my good old W880i died on me. In start there were some broblems, because it didnīt recognise any of music files from my 2G memory card. Well i run software update, even it was up to date and hey, it allmost worked. Now the music player regognises mp3 files just fine, but files that are in m4a format, (that i got most of my music) is not regognised. It cant handle them in proper way. It shows songs names, but dont put them in proper albumwiew, and wont play them at all. Thatīs very weird, because i had no broblem with them on my old W880i. If i go to filehandling and browse memorycards files from there, they works just fine, but that is not actually musicplayer, isnīt it! So. How can i play my music files in this MUSIC-phone i just bought?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI can't seem to work out how to transfer pictures to my Sony Vivaz Pro. I've tried right clicking on the Sony Ericsson drive thing and clicking explore, going into the image folder and pasting in pictures but that didn't seem to do anything. Then I tried Media Go and copied pictures into the Vivaz Pro bit but it still didn't seem to pick up any pictures on the phone. Also both of these methods seemed to make photos I'd taken with the camera break so I can't view them on the phone, then when I pressed on the "update media" bit the phone doesn't detect any photos I'd taken on the camera at all, however switching the phone off and back on again and it finds them.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to bring my SMS from my previous mobile "Aino" onto my new "Vivaz pro"? I've already tried a lot! The backup files from the Aino PC Suite are not accepted by the PC Companion which Vivaz Pro uses. (Both dbk file extension). With the "myphoneexplorer" (a tool I found online) I at least got my SMS from my Aino onto my PC, but it wont recognize my Vivaz pro. (I've tried everything possible and searched in various forums how to fix that. Removed the battery for 2 minutes, searched for com1 instead of com3, switched baud rate to 115200. PC companion driver is installed and I tried all different mode when connecting.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have old J105 and new Vivaz Pro. I made a full back up of J105 using PC suite and tried to restore it on Vivaz but PC companion said that file format not for this phone. Then I've tried to send all contacts with bluetooth Vivaz received Whole_list.vcf but showed only 1 contact inside. there are about 800 contacts to transfer them manualy.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Vivaz is having problems by saying I have used all the phone memory, when I haven't. I check the memory and apparently there is 33mb used by "other". There is no "other!". So I was thinking of updating my phone to wipe it and start again and see if this fixes the problem. I downloaded a newer version of the update service for my computer, turn off my phone, take out the battery, re insert the battery, hold the call button, plug the usb in and after a good while, still nothing has happened. And then the update service decided to freeze and won't let me exit so I keep having to restart my computer. What is wrong with the update service/my phone?

Somewhere down under the topic 'Memory', they'd mentioned that 'on the memory card and it is of class 8. In many menus you can see some sluggishness if you use the card from the box. When you change the card the speed goes up dramatically, so I strongly recommend doing this trick.'
The card that came with my Satio is a class 2! which apparently is the slowest!

I too have noticed the lag in the picture gallery and at places where the album art gets displayed. Can someone confirm with me if they have used a class 10 card say 16gb and if they have seen any improvement? If it works, I am planning on getting one.
I have a Vivaz phone and whenever I am listening to music, the music is skipping. It is a little hard to explain, but other people describe it as being similar to when you shake a CD player while listen to it. All the music I have is MP3 format, 128kbps, but have also tried the music in 192kbps and 320kbps and there is no improvement between the formats.
I have also tried listening to music through both 3.5mm jack and bluetooth headphones (Sony Ericsson HBH-DS205), and strangely enough, there is a difference. The skipping appears no matter what, but is far less noticeable through the 3.5mm jack. I have also tried the music through the default Media Player and through TTPod. I have also tried reinstalling the firmware, reformatting the memory card (16GB by the way) and deleting all music then re-transferring.
How can I set music tracks for individual contacts?

If I change to the 8Gb card that came with the mobile everything works fine.If I copy music to the phone via media sync or just dragging files only few of the files appear in the phone. i.e: For a 10 track album I only see 4 songs.Also having problems with pictures or videos, the files seems to be corrupted. Any ideas? I'm using Snow Leopard + Sony ericsson Media Sync. Also tried Saling Media Sync.Vivaz software version: 1224-4699_R2CA026

I just want to add some songs which location I know. searchin for one bl**dy song between 2000 other tittles is just ridiculous. Options provided by SE vivaz pro symbian software are just useless. Its easier to remember name of folder containing 100 songs than to learn by heart 100 tittles with artists names. I got used to listening to one huge set of e.g. house shared on 10 parts but in some way vivaz pro player spreadet them on the begining , midlle and end of ALL bout 2500 songs list. Is it possible to create some software update fixing this ridiculous mistake? maby there already is sth like that?

I then have to turn my phone off ad back on again for everything to reappear in my memory card folder. But then if I try to save something again to my memory card the cycle starts again and I get the "Empty Folder" message once again.

My card reader is able to detect it, and i can access it through my phone while it's connected in file transfer mode. However, my phone says there is no memory card inserted, and my computer is unable to detect the card when the mobile is connected in phone mode. I've tried formatting it in both FAT and FAT32 with several different cluster sizes, but it makes no difference. Would appreciate some input!
