Sony Ericsson :: W205 Not Recognize Any Of Music Files From 2G Memory Card?

I just bought W205, couse my good old W880i died on me. In start there were some broblems, because it didn´t recognise any of music files from my 2G memory card. Well i run software update, even it was up to date and hey, it allmost worked. Now the music player regognises mp3 files just fine, but files that are in m4a format, (that i got most of my music) is not regognised. It cant handle them in proper way. It shows songs names, but dont put them in proper albumwiew, and wont play them at all. That´s very weird, because i had no broblem with them on my old W880i. If i go to filehandling and browse memorycards files from there, they works just fine, but that is not actually musicplayer, isn´t it! So. How can i play my music files in this MUSIC-phone i just bought?

My girlfriend owns a SE W205. Since a couple of weeks is it no more possible pictures - that were shot with the mobiles camera – use as background on the mobile. If she tries this a window appears that says: file is damaged. Pictures could be viewed on the mobile.

My 350a doesnt see the memory card.When I go to the file "file manager" and move over one to the "on memory stick" it states "memory stick not inserted"The memory card works fine, as I can remove it, insert it into a M2 adaptor, then into my PC and access/retrieve files.I have tried reinstalling the software on the phone via the update service, I have reset the phone (master reset)I have also formated the memory stick but still no success When I attach the phone to the PC via the USB cord the PC does not see the memory stick through the phone either.Is there something that I have missed or am not doing that I should be?

i've added several mp3s to my w205 by using a usb cable and windows file explorer and although I can play them using the w205s file manager, no songs show up in the walkman music player. I have also tried sending songs to the phone by bluetooth and formatting the memory card (1GB M2) but this doesn't work either. Any ideas?

Looking for some advice I just started using W995 it was my husbands and he has had no problems. Today I got the phone and have been transferring stuff of my own e.g. photos, mp3s etc using windows explorer. When I transfer them to a new folder on the memory card I get weird garbled looking files as well appearing in the folder.
I have tried: Formatting the memory card. Deleting the folder (which I have to do by switching the phone of and back on first as it says it cant delete as there are files in). Adding a new folder same thing happens. I can upload a picture if it helps.

Previously I had some other SE phones: K750, W300, W910. All of them had the Bluetooth Remote feature, with which I controlled Winamp on my PC. It was all fine. I like to change of phone, so now I got a W205, but I was very disappointed when I saw that there were no Bluetooth Remote .
So I have few questions:
- Why there isn't this feature, considering it is almost the same screen and software than my previous W300?
- Will I have this feature if I update my phone's software with the newest version?
- Is there any other solution available, such as a Java sofware maybe? I have heard of MobileWitch Bluetooth Remote Control, but I can't get it to work at all.
I really want to control my Winamp with my W205.

My Sony Vivaz was working properly and then suddendly applications stopped working. Then I noticed the applications I had installed in the memory card are not longer displayed on the screen, and when I try to take a photo it says there is no memory card and that they will be stored in the phone's memory. Additionally, when I try to reinstall the applications I always get the message File error. What is happening to my phone? How can I fix all these problems?

Habe mir ein w205 angeschafft. Kann die Lautstärke beim Radioempfang nicht ändern. Wenn ich auf Lautstärke + drücke schaltet das handy auf den nächsten bei - auf den vorigen Sender. Habe sicherheitshalber die letzte software installiert. Jetzt geht die Lautstärkeregelung nach wie vor nicht und zusätzlich funktioniert die Suchfunktion nicht. Mit der OK-Taste wird nur jeweils um 0,1 MHz weitergeschaltet. Erwarte eine Stellungnahme der Sony-ericsson Techniker. Auch erfahrungen aller anderen Benutzer des w205 sind für mich sehr interessant.

When I try to move some files from my phone memory to my memory card, the phone gets stuck on moving files for AGES and then the files dont even get copied sometimes! When I tried to do this file by file, it did the same thing, and I waited for half an hour, before trying to exit, (the phone didnt respond) and I had to get the battery out to restart the phone! I tried a master reset, and now I've lost my themes and ringtones.

i hav actually grown tired of trying to find solution to this problem, however, if there's a designated software for moving files from pc to flash drive i'd try and use it, and maybe I'll avoid that problem.

I inserted the M2 card into the card reader, copied a few files and then took off the reader and put it back on the cell phone. Now, it wouldn't get the card. Again put it on the card reader, clicking on it, says that: Do you want to format? What to do to recover my files in it?

It can't find built in 8GB memory card. Few weeks it saw memory randomly. And now doesn't sees at all. Guy from the phone service said, that my phones main PCB is broken or so, and it can't be fixed as my device is no more pro ducted. Computer doesn't sees phone as memory too. I have bought a Sony Ericsson W395 but cannot transfer music files - or at least I can transfer the files using Windows Media player (connecting via a USB cable and using the 'Mass Storage' option) but although the files appear on Windows Media Player I cannot find them anywhere on my phone! I have the same experience using Windows Explorer. I cannot download the Sony PC suite as it is not compatible with Windows 7.

My phone said "memory full, delete some data",Ever since, all my tracks bar 3 are not showing on the memory card, neither are about 90% of my sound, image and video files.
Basically, my memory card is only showing a very small number of files and the rest I cannot access. Phone is N73 that caused this. Memory card is Mini SD.Ive used data cable and is still the case on the laptop, also tried memory card reader. Still exactly the same only showing small number of actual files. I can see the folder names however it says empty. But in properties it still recognizes the fact that that 1.9GB is used of 2.0GB. However I can only access about 100MB of those files.

I have a problem with my Sony Ericsson Elm - when I try to save something to my memory card everything seems to be okay, however when I then try to view what is saved on my memory card I get the message "Empty Folder". I then have to turn my phone off ad back on again for everything to reappear in my memory card folder. But then if I try to save something again to my memory card the cycle starts again and I get the "Empty Folder" message once again.

My Sony Ericsson is just a few months old and I have had a persistent problem with my 2GB memory card. The main problem is that it keeps losing my photos and in other folders like Music there are folders with strange names which appear and you cant delete them.

I just received a m2 card from a friend who didn't need it anymore, but for some reason my phone is unable to detect it. My card reader is able to detect it, and i can access it through my phone while it's connected in file transfer mode. However, my phone says there is no memory card inserted, and my computer is unable to detect the card when the mobile is connected in phone mode. I've tried formatting it in both FAT and FAT32 with several different cluster sizes, but it makes no difference. Would appreciate some input!
