View 1 Replies View Relatedi've added several mp3s to my w205 by using a usb cable and windows file explorer and although I can play them using the w205s file manager, no songs show up in the walkman music player. I have also tried sending songs to the phone by bluetooth and formatting the memory card (1GB M2) but this doesn't work either. Any ideas?

View 6 Replies View RelatedPreviously I had some other SE phones: K750, W300, W910. All of them had the Bluetooth Remote feature, with which I controlled Winamp on my PC. It was all fine. I like to change of phone, so now I got a W205, but I was very disappointed when I saw that there were no Bluetooth Remote .
So I have few questions:
- Why there isn't this feature, considering it is almost the same screen and software than my previous W300?
- Will I have this feature if I update my phone's software with the newest version?
- Is there any other solution available, such as a Java sofware maybe? I have heard of MobileWitch Bluetooth Remote Control, but I can't get it to work at all.
I really want to control my Winamp with my W205.

Will this work with the W205? Do I need some kind of special software? I want to be sure that it will play music via bluetooth before I buy the headphones.
Habe mir ein w205 angeschafft. Kann die Lautstärke beim Radioempfang nicht ändern. Wenn ich auf Lautstärke + drücke schaltet das handy auf den nächsten bei - auf den vorigen Sender. Habe sicherheitshalber die letzte software installiert. Jetzt geht die Lautstärkeregelung nach wie vor nicht und zusätzlich funktioniert die Suchfunktion nicht. Mit der OK-Taste wird nur jeweils um 0,1 MHz weitergeschaltet. Erwarte eine Stellungnahme der Sony-ericsson Techniker. Auch erfahrungen aller anderen Benutzer des w205 sind für mich sehr interessant.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought W205, couse my good old W880i died on me. In start there were some broblems, because it didn´t recognise any of music files from my 2G memory card. Well i run software update, even it was up to date and hey, it allmost worked. Now the music player regognises mp3 files just fine, but files that are in m4a format, (that i got most of my music) is not regognised. It cant handle them in proper way. It shows songs names, but dont put them in proper albumwiew, and wont play them at all. That´s very weird, because i had no broblem with them on my old W880i. If i go to filehandling and browse memorycards files from there, they works just fine, but that is not actually musicplayer, isn´t it! So. How can i play my music files in this MUSIC-phone i just bought?

When I try to go to the software updates on the W760a hompepage, it loads a blank page. View 1 Replies View RelatedI was just wondering if anybody else knew about the following or if it is wrong and may harm my phone. I went onto the playnow site on my phone via internet search. Whilst on it I scrolled down the bottom of the screen and clicked free stuff and lots more stuff came up available than when I go on playnow on my laptop. I downloaded a few and they all seem to work although they pop up with a strange type of keypad thing under neath the application when its open.
I then went back onto the play now site. I was on and was looking about when I noticed it had a bit that said : country - uk your phone - w880i. I didn't put this in it was already there. Mine is the Vivaz handset and yet the applications seem to work ok under the w880i phone. Should it not be compatible? should I remove the apps I downloaded this way of my phone to prevent a problem etc? I am so confused at the moment as to whether it is safe etc. for my phone. As I didn't expect it to happen. I always thought when you go onto a site like play now it would know what phone is being used.
I have couple of doubts regarding any software provided by sony ( earliers sony ericssion) for mobile, camera, cd player etc...since this fourm is for mobile I will talk about my xperia neo.I am buyer of various sony products since 2005. Purchased like cd player, w810i, xperia neo and various headphones. software comes with these products especially PC companion and media go looks good but not friendly for use.PC companion doesn't detect phones for which it is designed for. There could be various reasons for not detecting phone but there should be some solution.For any issue most of the time final conclusion is re-install. If a software required frequent "Re-install" then it is not at all good software.
Also when installing pc companion MBs of data gets installed. But when it come for use it simply doesn't work for a smart phone for updates and all.looking for an alternative or some mechanism that can avoid PC companion for install and upgrade.Intall/upgarde software for android is as good as any OS install then some alternatives should be there if sonys own software doesn't work.I have seen to remove microsd card before update software. This means pc companion have some problem if sd card is present in phone. this could be because of size of memory card.I this case for 2012 line up mobiles, there are internal memory itself is 16gb or more. Then I am sure people will face problem and it will not get rectified as they cannot remove internal storage while updating or installing software.Also there are 2 softwares update service and pc companion. Why 2 softwares??? why cannot sony make a simple single software which is robust enough for any smartphone dependency external software?
a couple of days ago I tried to do an update on my W995a via the SEUS program (latest version used, downloaded the day I did the update), It got to about 90% then stopped and stayed at 90% for about 2 - 4 minutes then it came up with Update Failed, I've retried the process a few times and all have failed, I've used the repair feature in the PC Suite program to try to fix the phone but it fails about about 90% as well, I had no issues or software glitches with the phone before attempting the Update. The phone now will not load the OS but instead just sits there with the keypad lights on. Is there a solution to this problem? As this is my main phone and the SEUS program has broken it.

The top right hand corner bar never moves to "confirm" it just stays at "connect". Can anyone kindly help me? I really don't want to make a trip down to the Service Center as updating of software takes more than a week!

The colorful do not move when the music player is playing a track. Settings tab should be more simply and independent from other applications. More themes. A design just like Aino. Dump the people owning Satio's and work with Xperia X10 rather? This isn't a joke I guess that this phone has the least support of the phones I ever had as the others hadn't much bugs and a lack of many typical functions in them. The last update was on march Vivaz got an update during april and it costs less and how come that phone has even a better home screen for that money. Please tell me if you are going to make an update for this phone or I will seriously throw it into the danube and I will buy Iphone 4 as Sony Ericsson is really bringing my positive feedback on the company down. Ive just recently got my new vivaz and have run the latest update. Can anyone tell me what the changes are in this new update? Id also like to know whether it is possible that a flash can be programmed into the vivaz instead of the light being constantly on. This is the only annoying aspect of the camera.
