Sony Ericsson :: Satio - Clear Memory
Sep 28, 2010I bought a satio one week ago, and its working fine. The only problem is that the phone memory keeps decreasing. Earlier it was 44Mb ans now it is only 10Mb. I have stored everything except messages in the memory card. When I check the memory details, it shows 51Mb in other files. I checked the phone memory and I found nothing that big in my phone memory. clear some phone memory! And what gets stored in other files?

Aug 31, 2010I am unable to send or receive messages on my satio. Everytime I try it says Not enough memory to perform action. Delete some files. However I have no files to delete? I've erased everything from the phone including all photos, messages etc. I've also downloaded the latest update. Has anyone else had this problem?

Jul 2, 2010My Sony Vivaz was working properly and then suddendly applications stopped working. Then I noticed the applications I had installed in the memory card are not longer displayed on the screen, and when I try to take a photo it says there is no memory card and that they will be stored in the phone's memory. Additionally, when I try to reinstall the applications I always get the message File error. What is happening to my phone? How can I fix all these problems?

Jun 8, 2010I have a problem with my Sony Ericsson Elm - when I try to save something to my memory card everything seems to be okay, however when I then try to view what is saved on my memory card I get the message "Empty Folder". I then have to turn my phone off ad back on again for everything to reappear in my memory card folder. But then if I try to save something again to my memory card the cycle starts again and I get the "Empty Folder" message once again.

Aug 21, 2010I just received a m2 card from a friend who didn't need it anymore, but for some reason my phone is unable to detect it. My card reader is able to detect it, and i can access it through my phone while it's connected in file transfer mode. However, my phone says there is no memory card inserted, and my computer is unable to detect the card when the mobile is connected in phone mode. I've tried formatting it in both FAT and FAT32 with several different cluster sizes, but it makes no difference. Would appreciate some input!

Sep 10, 2010My 350a doesnt see the memory card.When I go to the file "file manager" and move over one to the "on memory stick" it states "memory stick not inserted"The memory card works fine, as I can remove it, insert it into a M2 adaptor, then into my PC and access/retrieve files.I have tried reinstalling the software on the phone via the update service, I have reset the phone (master reset)I have also formated the memory stick but still no success When I attach the phone to the PC via the USB cord the PC does not see the memory stick through the phone either.Is there something that I have missed or am not doing that I should be?

Oct 26, 2010My Sony Ericsson W595, on Vodafone can not read my memory card. It was working properly until last night when I clicked on Media & Photos, and I was told I had no pictures. I went to file manager and onto the memory card files and it said 'no files'. Does anybody know how to fix this or what is wrong with it? My phone memory is still normal and everything else functions properly, except for my memory card. I updated it and I even checked if its placed in properly but nothing seems to help. Jul 2, 2010Got my Vivaz this Friday and it seems to have a fault with the card reader from factory. My Vivaz won't talk with the supplied 8GB MicroSD card or any other MicroSD card. The phone will notice if there are a card or not in the reader but can't access it, just reporting a faulty card.
Inserting or removing using Vivaz menu commands works and tells whether or not a card is inserted. Have tested three different MicroSDs 2,8 and 16 GB all works with Win7 and a X10 Mini, the Vivaz can't read or write to none. Sadly the Vivaz is useless with just the phone memory.

Nov 16, 2010I just bought W205, couse my good old W880i died on me. In start there were some broblems, because it didnīt recognise any of music files from my 2G memory card. Well i run software update, even it was up to date and hey, it allmost worked. Now the music player regognises mp3 files just fine, but files that are in m4a format, (that i got most of my music) is not regognised. It cant handle them in proper way. It shows songs names, but dont put them in proper albumwiew, and wont play them at all. Thatīs very weird, because i had no broblem with them on my old W880i. If i go to filehandling and browse memorycards files from there, they works just fine, but that is not actually musicplayer, isnīt it! So. How can i play my music files in this MUSIC-phone i just bought?

Feb 23, 2010I have Phone A which I was told to upgrade to resolve an issue. Before upgrading, I used manage messages to copy messages by a specific contact to my memory card. After backing up, I checked the memory card tab to see that those messages had been transferred they had. I removed the memory card so the upgrade won't accidently delete stuff on there from Phone A and continued with the upgrade. After the upgrade, I put the memory card back in and went to manage messages to restore them nothing showed.
I was on the phone to sony ericsson for half hour and they couldn't figure out why they were not showing, saying I had not backed them up, but I know I had. I have another phone which is the same as Phone A. I inserted the memory card into Phone B, went to manage messages. It showed messages on the card, but those that I must have backed up a few months ago rather than those I backed up today which didn't show in Phone A
It seems it only reads SMS's on the card dependant on the firmware version. How can I retrieve the messages I backed up today? I've been told I can't rollback the firmware version and even if I did, I didn't note down what it was. Those messages were REALLY importants and I would very much like to get them back.

Jul 2, 2010I got my satio in may and didnt even have it for a month before things went wrong. firstly, i was never able to send a MMS to a virgin mobile phone. and then i wasnt able to send a text message to anyone. i called SE and they did all this stuff and called my carrier AT&T and nothing was wrong with my service because i put my SIM in my old phone and was able to send MMS and SMS. so SE said i had to send my satio in for repair(why they didnt just replace the phone i have no idea) and now i am waiting for parts. its been 2 weeks since i sent my phone in. and now i hear there isnt going to be another update? theres slight problems with this phone that if were fixed, it would beat the iphone and droid by a mile. i was just getting used to my satio and then i had to return it. they say i probably wont get it back until the 8th of july. thats just crazy in my opinion. why didnt they just replace the phone? when i looked into the satio as my new phone it looked so cool and when i got it i was so amazed by it. i even got a manuel in a different language, had to call SE and they said they wont send me an english manuel and that i should just look it up on their website since they update the software a lot...well apparently they dont since they havent updated it in months. to say the least, i am disapointed in SE with their future of the satio.
