Sony Ericsson :: W595 - Can Not Read Memory Card

My Sony Ericsson W595, on Vodafone can not read my memory card. It was working properly until last night when I clicked on Media & Photos, and I was told I had no pictures. I went to file manager and onto the memory card files and it said 'no files'. Does anybody know how to fix this or what is wrong with it? My phone memory is still normal and everything else functions properly, except for my memory card. I updated it and I even checked if its placed in properly but nothing seems to help. My memory card is a San Disk M2 with 2GB Memory storage.

I have a W595, today my contacts on my phone randomly disappeared. I switched the phone on and off a few times but they didn't come back. Then a few minutes later all of my messages disappeared! So now I have no contacts and no messages. I got my mum to call my phone and it just came up as her number, I then pressed to view my call list and it said it was empty!

cannot copy file The volume for a file has been externally altered so that the opened file is no longer valid
i hav actually grown tired of trying to find solution to this problem, however, if there's a designated software for moving files from pc to flash drive i'd try and use it, and maybe I'll avoid that problem.

I hope that there is someone out there who can help me. I have a W595 (Walkman); a super mobile phone that I have owned for 18 months without a problem. Today, I find that there is a problem whilst scrolling through my contacts stored on my phone (not SIM Card). After opening my contacts list from the "home" screen, the contacts list displays. Then, as I scroll down through them to the first one beginning with"C", the display reverts immediately to the "home" screen and then reopens the list starting from "A". If I reverse scroll, I can scroll up through the list and, when I reach first (top) "C" again, the display screen reverts immediately to the "home" screen but this time stays there! There is not a problem when I scroll through the SIM card-stored contacts.

My Sony Vivaz was working properly and then suddendly applications stopped working. Then I noticed the applications I had installed in the memory card are not longer displayed on the screen, and when I try to take a photo it says there is no memory card and that they will be stored in the phone's memory. Additionally, when I try to reinstall the applications I always get the message File error. What is happening to my phone? How can I fix all these problems?

I transferred a film onto my M2 memory card which then doesn't work. When I try to delete this it says cannot delete as the file is protected. Can anyone help me with this? The film is taking up 1.12GB of space and I want to get rid of it.

It can't find built in 8GB memory card. Few weeks it saw memory randomly. And now doesn't sees at all. Guy from the phone service said, that my phones main PCB is broken or so, and it can't be fixed as my device is no more pro ducted. Computer doesn't sees phone as memory too. What can i do, to fix it?

I have a problem with my Sony Ericsson Elm - when I try to save something to my memory card everything seems to be okay, however when I then try to view what is saved on my memory card I get the message "Empty Folder". I then have to turn my phone off ad back on again for everything to reappear in my memory card folder. But then if I try to save something again to my memory card the cycle starts again and I get the "Empty Folder" message once again.

My Sony Ericsson is just a few months old and I have had a persistent problem with my 2GB memory card. The main problem is that it keeps losing my photos and in other folders like Music there are folders with strange names which appear and you cant delete them.

I just received a m2 card from a friend who didn't need it anymore, but for some reason my phone is unable to detect it. My card reader is able to detect it, and i can access it through my phone while it's connected in file transfer mode. However, my phone says there is no memory card inserted, and my computer is unable to detect the card when the mobile is connected in phone mode. I've tried formatting it in both FAT and FAT32 with several different cluster sizes, but it makes no difference. Would appreciate some input!

My 350a doesnt see the memory card.When I go to the file "file manager" and move over one to the "on memory stick" it states "memory stick not inserted"The memory card works fine, as I can remove it, insert it into a M2 adaptor, then into my PC and access/retrieve files.I have tried reinstalling the software on the phone via the update service, I have reset the phone (master reset)I have also formated the memory stick but still no success When I attach the phone to the PC via the USB cord the PC does not see the memory stick through the phone either.Is there something that I have missed or am not doing that I should be?

I have been using W595 model phone last 5 months. When I was browsing yesterday, my phone has got restarted. After that I have been trying start my mobile but its not at all starting up. Only thing I can see is the logo of Sony Ericsson when we start the mobile, After then It is not at all starting up. But the key pad lights are blinking for every 30 secs.

I just download a w595 main and fs firmware as those are the latest generic ones from topsony and the fs is Russia but when i searched for a generic Russia custpack i didn't get one. so i got to seusers users and i got a Russia custpack under the w595 category but it was labeled k850 so i was wondering if it would be ok to use it on my w595.

Got my Vivaz this Friday and it seems to have a fault with the card reader from factory. My Vivaz won't talk with the supplied 8GB MicroSD card or any other MicroSD card. The phone will notice if there are a card or not in the reader but can't access it, just reporting a faulty card.
Inserting or removing using Vivaz menu commands works and tells whether or not a card is inserted. Have tested three different MicroSDs 2,8 and 16 GB all works with Win7 and a X10 Mini, the Vivaz can't read or write to none. Sadly the Vivaz is useless with just the phone memory.

Why will my elm phone not save photos, themes to the memory card ? I have saved music on the card with an SD adapter on my computer and this is usable on the phone but sometimes disappears and says folder empty.Removing and replacing the memory card rectifies this but only for a short time.

Recently I have purchased a new handset of Walkman series W100i, a slider phone. From the day beginning its memory card is not functioning. If I try to store songs or some other files like wallpapers, its showing the memory full. And the shopkeeper told me that the card is of 2GB, but it shows me the no space everytime and not able to upload any song or anything else. I have argument with the shopkeeper and he just lingering down.
