Sony Ericsson :: W395 - Cannot Transfer Music Files
Sep 4, 2010
I have bought a Sony Ericsson W395 but cannot transfer music files - or at least I can transfer the files using Windows Media player (connecting via a USB cable and using the 'Mass Storage' option) but although the files appear on Windows Media Player I cannot find them anywhere on my phone! I have the same experience using Windows Explorer. I cannot download the Sony PC suite as it is not compatible with Windows 7.
I have downloaded Java games from the internet and installed it to my phone W395, last week all the java games are gone and I couldn't start any application. It says could not start application, files missing.
I was playing music through the Walkman player, when the audio suddenly cut off and a very loud buzzing/crackling replaced the music. The screen had frozen, and the buttons had no response. The screen then exploded in a rainbow of multicolored dots, like that on a TV with no signal, before turning black. Now I cannot turn the phone on. I have tried taking the battery out and replacing it, and charging it, and holding the power button for ages. I have also connected it to the computer via the USB cable, but there is no response on the computer or phone.
i own a w395 walkman phone. when i starts a bluetooth it shows meessege "canceled" and bluetooth never gets start. it also creates a dump files in memorycard each of 16 mb in size.i repair it for three times from service centre, two times they changed the motherboard of it, but after 7-8 days the bluetooth not functioning.
I have started using the Tracker application on my w995 for my recording my running session. I save the results on the phone and get a message saying that they have been saved as standard .gpx file on my memory card. My questions are (1) how do I find them on the card, (2) how can I transfer/download them to my MacBook and (3) what software can I read them with on my Mac; will they work with Google Maps for instance?
why does W395 has no software supports? The phone is really slow, and most of the jar(*.jar)files doesn't support the phone. The phone doesn't support multi tasking either,i tried call recording and got this message that it doesn't support multitasking.
The phone is cute and all but with no software support and being really slow, its a real pain. I hope sony ericsson team comes up with a software update for this model. I'm really looking forward to it. The phone also supports motion gaming and it would be nice if the site provided some games supporting this feature.
In this phone is under menu- messages - e-mail option, but when i want to sent a mail than the phone said:
setup required, for info, contact your operator of sonyericsson.com/support..
But i cant find some thing that would help me, i already have a software update/download done from this site but it doesn't work, but my internet setting are good because i can go to a lots of sites but not get email directly on my messaging.do some body knows how to get and sent a mail from my SE w395?
I dropped my W395 in the bathroom so it got moist and started to malfunction so i took it to the repair shop, and it was repaired under warranty. It was reprogrammed and the flex was changed. So before it got repaired, I'm am sure that my cell was only able to download 1,040 MB max. So i cant download mp3s with better bit rate. But after it got repaired, (the firmware was changed from R1DA015 to R1FB001) I tried to download a 3 MB mp3, expecting that at 1.040 MB it will stop downloading and say, 'page too large to be loaded. Choose another link'. But lo and behold, it didn't stop and now i can download without any size restrictions. I was pleasantly surprised at the improvement so i just wanna ask you guys if its normal for that to happen when you update your firmware? Cos I'm assuming that updates don't affect the RAM of your phone, it only fixes the bugs. Or maybe the technician replaced some hardware inside the phone?
Out of suddent i cant access my phone to transfer file. the only folder which appear is MTP Device however the content is empty.i have uninstall the application & hopefully i can start fresh.but again n again only MTP Device folder appeared.i have try to attached my phone to other laptop but its running as usual.i also cant access my files using SE PC Suite.
I have a W395 with a smashed screen. I've been trying all sorts to get the text messages off it but to no avail. It usually involves sending me a text message with a verification code or something, but I can't read the text. I was going to try forwarding the messages to O2's bluebook but I can only see the bottom, left half of the screen faintly and can't quite see which buttons I should be pressing.
I have been using W395 and if I keep the phone idle for some time in File Manager, the phone returns to standby. This happens also when I am seeing a movie and if I have paused the movie. Then I will have to start watching the movie from the beginning. Anybody else having the same problem? Any solutions?
I just cant figure out how to put my music on my phone through media go. i tried the regular drag and drop but it didn't work. I tried using media go but it comes up with an error # 0x8007001f. And when I try to connect my phone it says it cannot be recognized?
Looking for some advice I just started using W995 it was my husbands and he has had no problems. Today I got the phone and have been transferring stuff of my own e.g. photos, mp3s etc using windows explorer. When I transfer them to a new folder on the memory card I get weird garbled looking files as well appearing in the folder.
I have tried: Formatting the memory card. Deleting the folder (which I have to do by switching the phone of and back on first as it says it cant delete as there are files in). Adding a new folder same thing happens. I can upload a picture if it helps.
I have a sony erricson W395 and I have saved the contacts from my old SIM card onto my new phone memory, I put the new SIM card in and I cant find the contacts that are saved on the phone, the contacts list is empty. But if I type in my home number and ring it, it comes up with ringing home. Yet if the contact weren't saved on the phone it would come up with random number ringing and not saying calling home. How to transfer my contacts from my phone memory to my official contacts list/
I just bought W205, couse my good old W880i died on me. In start there were some broblems, because it didnīt recognise any of music files from my 2G memory card. Well i run software update, even it was up to date and hey, it allmost worked. Now the music player regognises mp3 files just fine, but files that are in m4a format, (that i got most of my music) is not regognised. It cant handle them in proper way. It shows songs names, but dont put them in proper albumwiew, and wont play them at all. Thatīs very weird, because i had no broblem with them on my old W880i. If i go to filehandling and browse memorycards files from there, they works just fine, but that is not actually musicplayer, isnīt it! So. How can i play my music files in this MUSIC-phone i just bought?
I have been trying to transfer music ripped with Media Go to my W995.The music appears to transfer with full track listing on phone. When I try and play the music on my phone nothing happens.I have no problems transferring photographs. Can anybody help?
