I have been trying to transfer music ripped with Media Go to my W995.The music appears to transfer with full track listing on phone.When I try and play the music on my phone nothing happens.I have no problems transferring photographs.Can anybody help?
View 9 RepliesUsing a W995 with latest firmware and Media Go 1.4 and trying to sync MP3s onto an 8Gb memory stick inside the phone. It seems to be all configured correctly and I can play the music on the W995 once the process completes but it takes ages to sync (about 1Mb per minute). I have looked around on the internet to try to find some help but have come up empty.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed the media go1.5and created playlist in the media go software ,I marked the playlist on the media go and made transfer of playlist to sony ericssonIt created the playlist on sony ericsson but playlist is empty .in properties i so that is 9kb M3U FILES.The music get to folders in different way of order then I want.I also read the Media go Manager help and did everything by instructions, but result is like written on top.I want to prepare playlists on media go and transfer it to the sony ericsson from my computer with software by my order.I want to know how can I create the playlist.

I save the results on the phone and get a message saying that they have been saved as standard .gpx file on my memory card. My questions are (1) how do I find them on the card, (2) how can I transfer/download them to my MacBook and (3) what software can I read them with on my Mac; will they work with Google Maps for instance?

View 6 Replies View RelatedLooking for some advice I just started using W995 it was my husbands and he has had no problems. Today I got the phone and have been transferring stuff of my own e.g. photos, mp3s etc using windows explorer. When I transfer them to a new folder on the memory card I get weird garbled looking files as well appearing in the folder.
I have tried: Formatting the memory card. Deleting the folder (which I have to do by switching the phone of and back on first as it says it cant delete as there are files in). Adding a new folder same thing happens. I can upload a picture if it helps.
im new here but i've had quite a few SE to my name, mainly Walkman Phones.Now i got my W995 just yesterday and been trying to use the useless MediaGo to transfer music to my phone.Everything works fine until i try to send every song i have on my pc, thats when MediaGo craps itself and starts adding and removing songs or at least it seems.So im wondering if theres any other program i can use for it apart from media manager.Also when i rip my cd's into MediaGo and then to the phone it doesnt work, when i try to play them it just says failed.Been getting quite annoyed at it
View 8 Replies View RelatedI damaged the LCD screen in my W995 last month.sent it away and got a new screen replaced.ever since, it will not show my movie clips or take new ones,it just skips frames every 5 secs or so.is this a new screen problem? or a phone problem?just to confuse matters it shows the clips and takes new ones for a little while after switching it off,then returns to silly mode again. been onto O2 and the screen replacers so hopefully someone will help?

In the menu there is a icon called App Shop and when I access it an error message "failed to download catalogue" appears whether by wifi or internet connection. I realise that the playnow website is for getting apps ,games,music etc so is this app shop function no longer in use? or do I have a problem? If this app shop icon is indeed defunct then is there a way to delete it ? I have updated all my software and also used the update phone function to check firmware and all was ok.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have bought a Sony Ericsson W395 but cannot transfer music files - or at least I can transfer the files using Windows Media player (connecting via a USB cable and using the 'Mass Storage' option) but although the files appear on Windows Media Player I cannot find them anywhere on my phone! I have the same experience using Windows Explorer. I cannot download the Sony PC suite as it is not compatible with Windows 7.

I have also tried sending songs to the phone by bluetooth and formatting the memory card (1GB M2) but this doesn't work either. Any ideas?

The Wi-Fi icon is green but when I try to connect to the internet a small e appears above the signal strength bars. Using a French network provider, my data allowance is very small, so would prefer to use Wi-Fi to pick up e-mail & other internet services. How can I force a Wi-Fi connection if one is available ?

My phone started not working so I switched off, sincve when it won't go past the Sony logo before the screen goes blank. It is seen by the PC for a few seconds every minute or so, and that's it. I can't do anything with it, and the battery is charged and the sim card is not faulty.

There is no pattern and just happens at random 2-3 times a day. Have tried the software update but it still happens. Only way to clear the problem is to remove the battery and then it will restart!

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there anyone with a W995 (Brown cert) with the latest fw R1HA036 who can extract the mentioned app? I'm quite bummed that the new fw doesn't allow manual installation for the Facebook app I've been using since the last fw. It's strange that after the fw update my APAC-ANZ doesn't come with it while another phone with the same CDA and fw does. Actually it does allow manual installation, it just doesn't integrate itself with the phone anymore, ie. able to log on but I can't view any of the pictures, there's no Facebook link for 'send to' in the photo gallery which used to allow me to upload photos directly to my Facebook page etc. Am kinda wondering if any of you kind souls could help me out with this.

However when I plug the usb cable in and go through the connecting proceedure it get rights the way to the end and then a grey box appears with an error message, send error report, don't send error report and which ever one you click shuts down the pc suite and you have to go through it all again for the same error report at the end!
