View 12 Replies View RelatedI have a nokia n8 and I added my music manually by drag and drop, but for some reason only some of the songs from some albums went on and some albums appear but have no songs in them at all. I can find no option for deleteing these albums off the phone it seems like a big fail in the design of the mp3 player.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently updated my music player software (for the Nokia 5800). However, when I tried clicking on my music player icon/ going to my gallery and selecting the file "songs" I couldn't open either of them. My songs are still on my phone, but I can't access them for some reason, or open them up. Why is this happening and how can I fix this problem?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs this possible on the N900? I was trying to do it yesterday and couldn't see how to do it either from within the file manager or the media player, not a huge problem but if there's an easy work around/solution it would be good to know.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have taken a nokia N8 belle version phone 3 months back, last few days I am unable to download music from OVI music, my phone came with 12 months subscription.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Nokia 5530 Xpress Music and tried out syncing my phone's files using Ovi Suite so I can easily retrieve them if ever they get deleted when I update my phone's firmware. When I synced my files, everything else worked fine except for the music files and these are the following problems I encountered: Ovi Suite did not only copy my phone's music files to my pc, it also copied all the music files of my pc to my phone at the same time. This shouldn't happen right? Because I'm only trying to sync my phone's files to my computer, and not transfer files from my computer to my phone so it should only copy all the songs in my 5530 to Ovi Suite.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI got my 5230 updated to 20.0.005 last time, and actually it's a good update. The performance is better than before, but I encountered a problem that really annoying me.I love listening to music. It's everything for me. But now the music player can't detect new music files, even it's imported from a blue tooth connection. After I save it from the inbox, sometimes it said "General : System Error". The files is inside the memory card, but can't be detected by the music player although I refresh the music library. The same thing happened when I import some music files from the computer using Nokia PC Suite. In the library, there is the artist's name or the album's name, but after I clicked it, there isn't any music files inside. What happened actually with the music player?About the memory card, I got it from the phone package. It's 2 GB, and still has approx. 130 MB free. Is it the memory card or the update?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to transfer music to my N900 device but Ovi Music tells me it is connected in the wrong mode. It says" unplug your device and reconnect it, a menu will appear, and depending on the model, use one of the following: Media Player, Printing and Media and Media Transfer. The problem is that no menu appears on the screen of the N900. What should I do?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia 5800 express music. I had some trouble with it, when I turned it on, it just startet vibrating without starting, so I got that fixed. Now it won't update or transfer music. Since I got it back from the Nokia store, it have not been working with update on my computer. While it was repaired I also installed Windows 7.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI put language lessons on the player with files listed as Lesson 01, Lesson 02.....lesson 11, 12, 20 etc and rather than put them in proper order like anything else I have ever used to play them it is putting 1, 10, 11,12,13 etc together then putting 2,20,21,22 etc together.
How can I get it to sort the files normally?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently got a Kingston 16GB Class 4 microSD (from a reputable source - not ebay - and yes it is a genuine 16GB microSD) for my N8 and want to transfer my music to it, to free up space for photos and video on the phone itself. What I thought should be a simple process, thanks to Nokia, has turned out to be a non-trivial exercise.I naively copied my MUSIC folder to the microSD (F), and then deleted the MUSIC folder on the E drive, and refreshed the library. It went through the process of seemingly refreshing for ages, number of tracks clocking up, but then told me the music library was corrupt and showed nothing. After playing for a while, I decided to reverse the process, put my music back on E and deleted the MUSIC folder from the F drive. Refreshed library and I was back to square one (thankfully), and everything worked as before, but, of course, I still hadn't got my music across to the microSD.
Then I searched these forums and found loads of people had had the same problem. It seems that, (as is often the case) the refresh of the library has bugs, and keeps old files somewhere on the device that should be deleted by the refresh process for it to work properly, but hang around causing problems (thanks Nokia - your software guys strike again)Despite trying to find these 'private' folders, they do not appear to be anywhere on any drive on my N8 (and, yes, I did have show hidden files set)
So, simple question is, how can I successfully transfer my music to the microSD so that it just works? Do i have to delete all 1400 tracks and reload them onto the F drive, and if I do this, will it sort the library problem. Ideally I would appreciate a tried and tested method from someone who has actually DONE it, as I don't want to screw my N8.
I have a new Lumia 950 Unlocked Dual Sim. I have an SD card installed that appears to be working properly. In windows explorer if I want to copy music to either the main music folder on the phone or the music folder on the SD card I get the following error:The phone is unlocked with a PIN so it should be able to write to the phone but it doesn't. I am using the USB C cable that came with the phone.
I can create a folder in the music folder, but I cannot copy a file into the newly created folder. If I try to copy a file into the Saved Pictures folder it works, but if I try copying into the camera roll folder I get the same error.I have had a Lumia 920 and Lumia 1020 before this an I have never had this issue.
i just came to UK yesterday, i was able to download music from OVI in india, but now the phone is asking for the voucher number?

I originally bought some music tracks via Nokia Music on my 5530. I did this on the phone and not via my P.C etc. I now have bought a Lumia 710 and signed in to Nokia music on it. I assumed it would recognise any music I had bought and ask me if I want to transfer it? But of course, it doesn't seem to. I have a backup of my 5530 in the Ovi suite, but the Lumia uses Zune. I am confused now as to the easiest way to get the music off my 5530 and on to the Lumia.
