I have a nokia n8 and I added my music manually by drag and drop, but for some reason only some of the songs from some albums went on and some albums appear but have no songs in them at all. I can find no option for deleteing these albums off the phone it seems like a big fail in the design of the mp3 player.

However, when I tried clicking on my music player icon/ going to my gallery and selecting the file "songs" I couldn't open either of them. The performance is better than before, but I encountered a problem that really annoying me.I love listening to music. It's everything for me. But now the music player can't detect new music files, even it's imported from a blue tooth connection. After I save it from the inbox, sometimes it said "General : System Error". The files is inside the memory card, but can't be detected by the music player although I refresh the music library. The same thing happened when I import some music files from the computer using Nokia PC Suite. In the library, there is the artist's name or the album's name, but after I clicked it, there isn't any music files inside. What happened actually with the music player?About the memory card, I got it from the phone package. It's 2 GB, and still has approx. 130 MB free. Is it the memory card or the update?

Music player is unable to load music files which are stored in memory card. I even updated the phone software but unable to solve this problem, but other files such as videos and images. I have an SD card installed that appears to be working properly.In windows explorer if I want to copy music to either the main music folder on the phone or the music folder on the SD card I get the following error:The phone is unlocked with a PIN so it should be able to write to the phone but it doesn't. I am using the USB C cable that came with the phone.
I can create a folder in the music folder, but I cannot copy a file into the newly created folder.If I try to copy a file into the Saved Pictures folder it works, but if I try copying into the camera roll folder I get the same error.I have had a Lumia 920 and Lumia 1020 before this an I have never had this issue.
I just got a Samsung Galaxy S5 and am already almost out of storage space. I transferred some files from my old phone (photos, contacts, etc.) and have only downloaded two apps. Under Storage, it says that Miscellaneous Files take up 13.10GB of space - and that Mobile Content Transfer is the biggest culprit of this. If I delete this file, would I lose everything that transferred? I've added an SD card but can only put a few apps onto it and not much else.

I have bought a Sony Ericsson W395 but cannot transfer music files - or at least I can transfer the files using Windows Media player (connecting via a USB cable and using the 'Mass Storage' option) but although the files appear on Windows Media Player I cannot find them anywhere on my phone! I have the same experience using Windows Explorer. I cannot download the Sony PC suite as it is not compatible with Windows 7.

I am currently using my old 2 gb sd card and want to get a 16 gb card, but can't figure out how to transfer my music files that I downloaded from Amazon MP3 cloud to my phone. It appears they are stored on internal storage, which I suppose is ok for now, but when I get a new card I want to store them on my larger 16 gb card. However refuses to delete the jpgs either within the device, with a file browser or with BB Desktop. View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having a strange issue on my Wifi Xoom (running the recently pushed ICS). I recently installed an app (the Caustic demo) from the market. Caustic sets up a basic file structure in storage for storing instrument sample files. Well, after uninstalling the demo, I went to remove the leftover files (via ASTRO) and it said "Error deleting files". I dig into the subdir and tried some individual files, but got the same result. I tried another file manager (EStrongs) but got the same result. I then tried mounting on Windows and deleting that way. It appeared to work (crunched for a second, then the files disappeared without any errors given). But the files still show up in ASTRO, and when I re-mount on Windows, they're still there.
Oh and this is only happening with this directory. Other files and directories can be deleted just fine. Is there a problem with my Xoom, or did the app author do something improper with setting up the directory?
Did a swap from a 64 GB 6P to a 128 GB and tried just doing a nandroid. That would've worked but the fingerprint reader wouldn't work without a factory reset. I also accidentally restores the old EFS in TWRP without knowing I shouldn't, but used the original EFS (did a backup on new device before transfer) and restored it back to what came the device.. So I did that and re-did everything and it seemed to have no problems at first. I downloaded some Google Music playlists, Viper4A + busybox, and at some point my phone stopped letting me modify the files.
Camera can't take pictures. Chrome can't download files. I can't add/remove files via PC. I can't modify files via file managers. I tried chmod 777 sdcard but it doesn't fix the problem. I tried reflashing the ROM and all, and did a complete wipe but restored the data (only) from TWRP - so the problem might be somewhere in there. I haven't changed anything from the setup I had on the 64 GB - it was working fine and then just stopped letting me do stuff.
I'll probably try a complete factory firmware restore then flash the ROM all over again, but wanted to see if there was a simple fix first.
