My phone was connected by usb I run Sony PC Companion, windows explorer started and it was writen that SD Card 708MB Free and 3.65GB full, but I double clicked SD card and there was only two files; "customized-capability" and "default-capability". I have checked win explorer Folder Options, hide, unhide selection, do not affect. I am sure that the files are in my phone, I have check from my phone.Now, I could not transfer my pictures, files, movies from my computer.
View 1 Replies View RelatedDid two different bacups, and I am positive that I did backup of contacts. Also did a bacup of all contacts on my online account at [URL] Did an upgrade of android 1.6 -> 2.1.
I ran restore. Everythinge else is restored, just not one single Name or Number. No contacts. Tried both bacups several times, I get a confirmation that the restore is done. Still nothing.
Hooked it up to my PC, and performed a sync with my page on sonyericsson.com. Nothing. It's always a small disaster to loose all numbers and names. I still have them all, I just can't get my phone to give a ****, it seems.
( Also tried installing the new Backup & Restore (1. Nov), [URL], but it gives me the message "not installed" every time i try. Nothing more. I think maybe it's because I might allready have that program on my phone)
just purchased this phone.i wish to put a new memory card in it,but seem unable to transfer files from card to memory so that i can put them back on new card when i've inserted it...easy on ericsson not so on this...or am i being stupid?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am a relatively new user to this phone, and so I have been trying to get my music files (mp3 format) onto my phone.I have bought a new 32GB sd card to load them on, and some files will play, but most state they can't play.I have tried a transfer using file copying, and also used MediaGo, but I still get similar results.The mp3 files play correctly on my computer (Windows Media Player) and on my iPOD, so I think the files should be ok.Are there specific sampling bit rates needed for the Xperia?Further to this thread, I have now ripped some original cd's in various formats and bit rates (Mp3 to WAV), and it makes little difference to their ability to play. Some do, but mostly they don't. I can't find any common factor.
Finally getting somewhere .... I think there is a problem with the new 32Gb MicroSD. Its rated class 10, so its maybe faulty or too fast???I replaced the sd with the one that came with the phone, which is 2Gb (no class stated), and everything plays fine with this.
I Recently updated my phone to ICS. After updating i decided to do backup and restore.verything looks great but I can't see the apps installed on my SD card. How can i restore the apps form my SD card? My SD card shows a huge amount of unallocated space. Everything is detailed like pictures, apps, music and all.. but there is some missing space on it.
