Feb 25, 2015When trying to import pictures and videos from the S5 to Windows 8 desktop, I connect the USB and then right click "import pictures and videos" button.
However, Windows goes through all of my music first (which takes a while) before it finds my pictures and videos in order to download.
Any way to tell windows to skip searching through music files during this search? Just go straight to music or videos.

Jul 17, 2015I picked up my new S6 from the Sprint store yesterday. I almost have all of my parameters set, outside of my pics & music from my S4 Mini . The guy at the Sprint store supported me with the contacts, and also put all of my music/video/pics onto the 32G Micro SD that I installed in the phone about 18 months ago.
I have the Micro Card, the Micro SD adapter to regular USB for my PC. I've made separate folders on my PC from the card---Video-Music-Pics, but there's some stuff I'm not familiar with that shows up as well.
My question is, what mode does my new S6 need to be in when I transfer this stuff to the phone?
I will say that some of the music (I have a LOT) wasn't set up very well in my S4 Mini and thats my fault for being in a hurry, but it did what I wanted it to do. I have the S6 plugged into my PC via charging cord/USB, and the Micro SD is in another USB port on the PC---

Dec 12, 2011when I plug my S2 into my laptop (Macbook pro) and choose data transI was expecting to see an icon representing the phone show up on the Finder desktop. That's not happening. Instead I'm prompted to "press the home key to quit Samsung Kies" Am I doing something wrong or do I HAVE to open Kies in order to see my phone's memory (32GB SD). My Nokia N8 would just show up on the desktop...not so with the GS2.
PS. Does using the USB invoke Samsung Kies to open up? I'm not seeing anything on my homescreen except the word "Connecting"...and the little dots that indicate the phone is thinking about something,..but nothing ever happens beyond that.

When my S II is plugged in to my laptop, within my laptop, it does not recognise the storage device within the S II, but only acknowledges it as "other devices". My old SD card (32GB) wasn't large enough to hold all of my music on it so I recently went out and bought a larger SD card. I currently have over 2000 songs favorited on my music player and would like to avoid spending over an hour to favorite each one again. Is there any way I can put all of my music on my new SD card and still keep all 2000+ favorites when the new SD is put in my phone?

Also, he told me I could "find" my apps from the Galaxy 3 in Google Play under "my apps" but I have found no such thing. I suppose I could connect both phones to my computer and transfer the music that way and download all the former apps again. Is there a better, easier way?
