View 12 Replies View RelatedI've filled the memory in my phone up and need to transfer some pictures off of it so I can go through with this 1GB software update. I've been wanting to transfer a glut of files off of it for a while as I'm always having trouble downloading new apps.
Every time I plug it into my PC and go to the folder with the images, it will either (a) load the folder so I can see everything, and then crash as soon as I attempt to copy the files to my hard drive. Alternatively, (b), it won't load the pictures at all and the Computer > Galaxy S5 > Phone > DCIM bar will load green forever (I have a screen capture of this but can't include it here.. )
I need to get these files off my Galaxy and backed up.
My phone came with the head-phones and charger (plug in to wall/phone), but no USB cable. Can I just buy a USB cable (i.e. -Walgreens or Best Buy?) to use to get this accomplished?

It is completely seated in the phone, I have formatted the card, yet any pictures I take are saving to my phone instead of onto the new card? Why is this, and how can I correct this?
Also, how do I get the pictures that saved to my phone, over onto the microSD card?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have several dozen pictures that were added to my new Curve 8530 from my old phone before I had an sd memory media card, so they're sitting in the internal device memory. How do I transfer them to the media card, and can I "select all" to move them all at once or do I have to go picture by picture?
Also, I use Desktop Manager for Mac. Is there any way I can move them around through my Mac Finder? Would I have to disable Mass Storage? In what situations would one enable or disable Mass Storage and MTP? (OK, that's probably a second topic; but I haven't found a good explanation of what it is.)
I can't tranfer my pictures from my phone. All my pictures are saved to my SD card. When connected to the computer I access the SD card, then the DCIM folder, but then it only shows a '.thumbnails' folder. When I open this folder it only shows 496 RAW files that I can't open. I have 1422 photos on my phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had a 64GB SD card in my Galaxy S5 for a while. Of course the capacity is actually 59GB and I have just about 56GB of files(music, pics, videos, etc.) I was recently gifted a 128 GB SD card that I've been wanting. Now,the problem is transferring all my stuff from old SD card to new one. Back when I had smaller cards from 4 even to 32GB,I could back it up to my PC hard drive. Since then,I still have the same PC/hard drive but with not enough space. What can I do?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy wife's internal screen has became pure white, and is absolutely non readable! My wife has over 400 pictures of our children on the phone. The phone in question is a Samsung Siren SCH-A870 Cricket.
Is all hope lost? I pray not. I am desperate as to what may be the best way to salvage the photos from the phones Bluetooth, onto my laptop? Is there a menu prompt I can use, to send the photos to my laptop, via blue tooth? I seek the manufacturers manual for the Samsung Siren SCH-A870 Cricket. Sadly, I was not able to make any rhyme nor reason from it. The graphics were awful. I know this was a dumb error to save the pictures of our kids on a cell phone.
I have a Samsung S5 with a 32gb SD card. The other night my from completely froze for approx. 30 seconds and then I lost everything saved on the SD card. The card cannot be read by the phone nor be mounted. When trying to mount the card the phone says mounting SD card then card is safe to remove. I connected it to my computer and it says card needs to be formatted when clicking on the drive letter where the card is place via an adapter. we tried to mount the card on 2 other phones with the same results. Any recovery software that I might use to get my pictures back?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S5, I want to download and save pictures from my browser, or apps to my SD card, but no matter what I try, they always end up in the device storage. I'm not talking about the camera app, I mean from apps like Tumblr. I don't want to keep transfering my pictures to another folder. So how you you change the option to save and download pictures to the sd card instead of the device?
