BB Curve 8500 :: How To Transfer Pictures From 8530 Device Memory To SD Media Card?
Apr 13, 2010I have several dozen pictures that were added to my new Curve 8530 from my old phone before I had an sd memory media card, so they're sitting in the internal device memory. How do I transfer them to the media card, and can I "select all" to move them all at once or do I have to go picture by picture?
Also, I use Desktop Manager for Mac. Is there any way I can move them around through my Mac Finder? Would I have to disable Mass Storage? In what situations would one enable or disable Mass Storage and MTP? (OK, that's probably a second topic; but I haven't found a good explanation of what it is.)

Feb 19, 2010Totally new to this phone, with the option to download applications. Having great fun in doing so but not always given the option of where to save them to with the end result that they are saving to the phone memory which keeps filling up and then giving me an error message. Can anyone please tell me how to move apps from the phone memory to the card memory. And can anyone also tell me if I have an icon on the 'Menu' screen and the 'Apps' screen, does this mean the application has been downloaded twice and do I need both or can I delete one (presumably the 'Menu' one)?

Feb 8, 2012A configuration snafu sent pictures to a folder in Device Memory. (Device Memory/Home/User/Pictures) All my previous pictures went to memory card. (Media Card/Blackberry/pictures) I am not able to move the pictures from the Device Memory folder to either the memory Card or to my PC. Normal "Move" and PC downbload procudes don't work (I can't get to the Device Memory folders via my PC, and the Blackberry won't let me move from the Device memory to the Media Card.) Apr 17, 2010Ok everything was working fine till I inserted the memory card back into my phone after copying a video file.I hear a tone that it has detected the memory card but don't see any notification that it is installing memory card apps as it used to show. All my apps are gone but when I check the apps manager, it lists all the previously installed apps are installed. :s No apps icons visible in the apps folder but memory card detected and can be accessed via file manager.I have already removed and reinserted the card several times and turned the phone on/off.What to do ?
