How to access pictures that are on my card, they were taken with my previous phone. With that phone, it had a basic explorer-type interface but it looks like it's supposed to add them automatically with my Blackberry curve 9300. My videos are there, as are my ringtones but not the photos.

Anyway on my old 9300 the app world memory was massive which I thought was my memory card but now on this newer 9300 the app world won't use my memory card to store apps, just the very measly 256MB, is there any way I can make it use my memory card on app world?

View 2 Replies View RelatedA configuration snafu sent pictures to a folder in Device Memory. (Device Memory/Home/User/Pictures) All my previous pictures went to memory card. (Media Card/Blackberry/pictures) I am not able to move the pictures from the Device Memory folder to either the memory Card or to my PC. Normal "Move" and PC downbload procudes don't work (I can't get to the Device Memory folders via my PC, and the Blackberry won't let me move from the Device memory to the Media Card.) Now that our phones/SD cards are encrypted when the phone is connected to a PC and the SD card mounted the pics are no longer readable because they are encrypted. Windows is unable to read them, if I email that pic from my phone to my gmail I can open it just fine. If I try to open it direct from the SD its a NO GO. I already ruled out that its my PC I tried 5 other including my personal PC at home...NO GO! So how to I access the pictures direct off the SD?

How do I transfer them to the media card, and can I "select all" to move them all at once or do I have to go picture by picture?
Also, I use Desktop Manager for Mac. Is there any way I can move them around through my Mac Finder? Would I have to disable Mass Storage? In what situations would one enable or disable Mass Storage and MTP? (OK, that's probably a second topic; but I haven't found a good explanation of what it is.)
I know that you can plug in an 8520 via a USB cable and access the SD card, however I need to access the internal memory. How can I do this without installing the full Desktop manager software?

I can't figure out how to get the pictures off the memory card to the internal memory so I can put the 2gb memory card back into my tour that it came with. Anyone know what this is, if I can delete it, & what would happen if I did? Is there any way to shrink this down some?
My address book takes up quite a bit of memory; so does my calendar -- both of which were synced from Outlook. Is there any way to have the addresses/calendar data stored onto my microSD instead of the device memory?
Lastly, I noticed that when I call people using my Curve, it shows up on their caller ID as "private name, private number." Where can I change this setting? Is it in my provider's settings (which I can access online) or on the BlackBerry's settings somewhere? Also, is it possible to at least NOT have it show private when calling those on my address book, such as friends & relatives?
I have a brand new BB curve 9300 and whenever I take a picture or receive a picture through BBM I cannot see my picture in the Media folder. However when I go into Media>>>Highlight Pictures and instead of opening pictures I click to BB key and choose the explore option, I can find my pictures by going through Device Memory/home/user/pictures
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to OS 6 on my Curve 9300 3g, (on the advice of a BB rep) and ever since my device memory has been low. When it was on OS5 it had about 90mb of free memory, now even after a reboot I' m lucky to have between 30 to 34mb. Now Web pages close unexpectedly and cannot use the tabbed browsing at all. I only a couple of small apps left on the device as I have deleted most of them already. I upgraded the OS using the desktop software, and all seemed to have worked OK. Have I missed something?, was there install files I should have cleared?

This problem only occurs when I have the microSD card in the phone because when I take it out and record a video, the video is smooth and does not lag. I have restored the phone to factory settings and this problem still occurs. What should I do? I will try to post clips soon.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI had changed in my camera options to "store pictures" on the sd card NOT "in device memory".A few days ago while taking some pics I maxed out the sd card and while trying to back out hit "ok" to something not sure what it was. but it changed the bb setting back to "device memory" and now when I try to change my camera options of "store pictures" back to the sd card it stays in "in device memory" and gives me no other option to use the sd card (which i did clean out some pics for space).
