Nokia Pictures/Videos :: 5730 Video Camera Lags With Memory Card?
Dec 18, 2012
I have a Nokia 5730, and when I use the video camera to record video, the video stops and starts like every 2 seconds. This problem only occurs when I have the microSD card in the phone because when I take it out and record a video, the video is smooth and does not lag. I have restored the phone to factory settings and this problem still occurs. What should I do? I will try to post clips soon.
sometimes i still get the low memory message while using camera even with the latest update for nokia 500 what should i do? sometimes i need to upload somehing instantly while using check in, and i cant restarat and do so, what should i do?
I have just bought a new C3-01 but the video camera only records for 5 seconds then stops. how to change this to continuous? Nothing in the book, only press to start and press to stop!
I am using 16 GB memory card in my 700. But No Videos or Picture Is Showing in Video Player or Gallery which are appeared in memory card. No problem for mass memory. I already format my mmc card many times but no change.
Since the Belle update, I noticed that, videos I recorded with the camera, do not appear anymore in the list of videos in the Video application. The videos appear in the Gallery application with the pictures. I think this a bug with the Video application.
Do all pictures taken by the camera go to memory card? Also do the pictures that were E-Mailed to me and saved, do they also go right to the memory card or to the device memory? Is there a way to send all saved pidctures to memory card or is this automatic?
I use my Nokia phone camera a lot like taking pictures of furnitures, tools, appliances, and other items that I want to know the dimensions (measurements in inches or metric) of to study the pictured items at home. Sometime I carry with me a tape measure and I lay it along the lenght and/r height of the item just to get a rough measurement of the item's dimension. Is it possible for Nokia to develop a camera with a built-in measuring tape that shows up in the pictures taken? The measuring tape should be able to adjust to the distance between the camera and the object so that the actual dimension of the object is measured accurately. If I take a picture of crawling snake from 20 feet away the picture taken should be able to show the actual lenght of the snake.
Here I wish to post the problems I have been experiencing after I bought Nokia 5800, maybe, someone even has a magical solution for any of them.I own it since last year's November and I've spent more time re-inserting the battery and restarting it than actually using it, so I guess I sort of regret buying this smart piece of **bleep**.
So here's the list.. (any help, tips and fixes highly appreciated. Thank you!) The video recorder often spoils the video with lags (which are file-written).An incoming call often cannot be picked up (nothing happens, it just rings. no key response)
Often the envelope symbol for new messages remains even if all messages read. The alarm clock has failed to wake me up 3 times because of the phone hanging up, and 2 more times just because of not ringing. (This is the worst part because I can't rely on this phone. What if I'm taking an important exam tomorrow? Hanging alarm clock is not an excuse, so I'm going back to the 20th century with a green-light alarm clock besides my bed, lol.)The screen rotation is so bad. I takes 5 seconds to turn the screen and often it gets confused whether to turn right or left.
If I install a new theme and set it as default (even if it's in Phone Memory), the chance of any of these bugs occuring multiplies twice.Often starting the menu or dialler pad causes the phone to hang up and nothing happens, can't even turn it off with the button. I have to reinsert the battery. The web browser often disappears without warning. A crash I guess. This **bleep** me off.The e-mail client causes problems when I set up a mailbox. What's the point of it if I can still use e-mail after uninstalling that Nokia E-mail afterwards. weird...Accessing Settings is risky, because it often hangs up and does nothing..
The media player once was unable to get rid of already deleted files. FoRtUnAtElY I found a fix (was i supposed to do that? No!).Once I couldn't access the installed application list, no matter what. Had to do a hard reset. And many more of these Sadly I knew what to expect when I was about to buy it, because I had experience with Symbian phones. In terms of reliability and satisfaction they haven't changed a bit since the first ones.
would anyone be able to step me through how to make the camera and video save automatically to the memory card. I always run out of memory on the phone.
make a best video player which can play compressed videos of all formats like mx video player.also it should support dual audio selection..to sustain in market nokia should adopt agressive measures to retain its loyal users..or an android bol vl eat the remaing intellectual users..
i have nokia x2-01,when i play any video or even song, its shows "not enough memory"although my memory card and phone memory both has enough memory,i have restored my phone as well as its memory card
I had changed in my camera options to "store pictures" on the sd card NOT "in device memory".A few days ago while taking some pics I maxed out the sd card and while trying to back out hit "ok" to something not sure what it was. but it changed the bb setting back to "device memory" and now when I try to change my camera options of "store pictures" back to the sd card it stays in "in device memory" and gives me no other option to use the sd card (which i did clean out some pics for space). It does show a folder where it is storing pics I take though but when I click the trackball to change from device memory it only shows
I have a problem with continuous playback of video, Before with Anna I couuld go into gallary and my pictures and video were all in same place, in proper order. Since Belle photos are in one folder and videos in another. If I want to share these by plugging into tv instead of clicking slide show I have to play each video and pict separate. Also is there a setting for how many sec the pic stays before switching to new one. My pictures have like a good 5 to 7 sec before switching to next photo.....seems too long. ultimately I would like to have my videos and pics all in one area so I can play them all at once
how to delete a video clip (after it's been saved). The manual claims that there is an >Edit. function under the >Options tab. But there ISN'T! There is no way of deleting a video clip. The same is true for the >Recorder. Once a recording has been made and saved, there is no option to delete it at a later stage.
I want to convert a few video clips to play back on my 5230 at the highest possible quality settings. Which container/bitrate/frame rate/aspect ratio would give those results? I know the resolution of the phone is 640x360 but any clips at that resolution are unable to play. I'm experimenting with combinations at the minute but it would be a lot quicker if I could just get a definite answer.Official playback specs are 640x360/??/30fps/?? but no mention of ideal bitrate, aspect ratio or container, ie MP4/3gp etc etc.
Just today bought Nokia N8, updated to Symbian Belle and tried to open gallery but it only shows black screen and nothing works, i tried open pictures by file manager but it won't open...
[n79, latest firmware, 16 or 32 GB memory card]When I capture video to the memory card, I periodically get stutters or lags, typically during which the video capture appears to freeze. The sound recording sometimes continues in time, sometimes also breaks for a fraction of second. I have already backed up the card to a PC and reformatted the card in the phone (assuming that the phone would set up the card in a manner best suited to the device). The problem persists, although slightly less often.
Would it have been better to reformat the cards on a PC? If so, better to use a 16kb or 32kb "allocation unit size"? Neither of my cards as more than 1/3 full, so there is plenty of space. I am recording video at the phone's best quality, which is 640x480, 30 fps, and a typical bitrate seems to be about .5 MB per second. I checked out both cards using the utilty "Flash Memory Toolkit", and the minimum data file write rates seem to be about 6-10 MB per second (often 10 MB), so I don't think that the bottleneck is the card itself. Perhaps the drivers used to write to the card memory on the phone are not as efficient as they should be. Or maybe for some reason I have to stick with an 8 GB card or smaller?
I got an Asha 201 and for the last couple of days I've been trying to convert some videos to put on my phone. But every single time I get the error "video not supported". So, what are the exact settings that Asha 201 supports for video?
Resolution Video Bitrate Audio Bitrate Codec Container
I have set up the camera settings on my E55 to store pictures on the memory card. Now, after transferring those I wanted onto my computer's HD, I deleted most of the photos from the card (in Windows Explorer). However, when I go to 'gallery' on my phone (with the memory card inside), these files can still be seen - i.e., their names and sizes (but not the images). I cannot seem to be able to delete these entries from the phone's interface.
