Any use the Motorola Date and Time Widget? Mine seems to hang at night (seemingly about 20min after I plug it in for charging) and stays on yesterdays date and time until somehow it corrects itself the next day. There is no way to "activate it" or make it correct itself. All other clocks and calendars are correct.

Downloading another widget is not the answer to a broken widget. My Motorola Date/Time Widget now freezes every night when I charge the phone. I know how to resize the widget to get it unstuck. I know I can try to download another widget to replace it.What I don't know is why Motorola doesn't fix this teeny little widget and make it work correctly?

When I move between home screens, these icons stay in place.Calculator, maps, iD & a square I touch to open my applications. I am trying to remove/delete the calculator icon but am having trouble doing so.Any other app I can hold, it vibrates & turns red and I just drag it to the trash can. These 4 icons at the bottom of the screen don't.
When I touch the calculator icon, the calculator opens. When I touch and hold the icon for the calculator, it opens a new window that says ADD TO DOCK
and lists programs/apps to add to the dock. No options to remove.
Again, I can not hold it down to drag it to the trash can.
know how I can remove this calc icon? Is this bottom row on my screen something special where apps permanently reside?
The latest Software Upgrade New from Moto, no longer has a Q4 date for ICS on the Photon. It now says "Further plans coming soon".I have no idea what this means.The optimist in me says that this means we are skipping ICS and going straight to JB.The pessimist in me says that Moto would rather just offer us $100 and not worry about supporting the Photon 4G anymore. I do hope we get some more definitive news so my two halves don't have to keep arguing.
View 10 Replies View Relatedafter this week update I'm not able to add this widget to my screen. I used to have it but deleted it. When I went back to put it on I get a message that I can only have one PicFrame widget on my homescreen... i went ahead and rebooted the phone and still the same. So I decided to clear the Home Data, to bring it back to stock, it let me add the widget but it wouldn't show any pics.. so I deleted it to try and add it back and got the same error I was getting befofe.... Can anyone else try to add the widget, delete it, and try adding it again? Any partial fix comes to mind. I think that the HOME app is locking data into memory and not releasing it... maybe that's why when I deleted the HOME DATA I was able to put it back.. but now is not letting me...

Could see the different clocks in 2.1 and then select. But not in 2.2.2. You just select digital and see if it appears on the screen after stepping out of this settingsBut despite selecting digital, after revisiting the settings box, it still shows analogue - it should show digital since I selected digitalOn the screen the digital time & date widget shows up with time (top part: time side is ok) but with date (bottom part), this part shows the entire calendar with the highlight on present date. Funny aspect is that earlier at the first ever initial time I selected this widget, it showed up with the date i.e., with bigger matching font size to time (top: time , bottom: date) but later it stuck to the entire month-calendar format as mentioned above. After this the widget screen size also remained unchangeable. This widget can't be resized. It could be resized in 2.1 with your format in mind.
Its stuck on this:I just want to see the date and time (3:44pm 15 Nov Mon) and not the entire month-calendar ... ideally this should go away once the widget is resized.Its quite surprising to see 2.2 behave so .. for a lack of better word .. buggish. I did the bit where you switch off the phone, remove the battery and fit it back and restart, but this didn't do much.Update:Got this widget to resize by fluke when I tried to insert another application on the home screen and so I have managed to at least get the widget to become smaller, albeit in the 'vertical stack' form. I have noticed this device act like windows XP. What I am refering to is, the device OS is working but I try to open apps and nothing is happening, I can hit the home key and the apps button and they work but opening any apps nothing will happen. Sometime the apps will partialy open but sit there.
What i noticed when this is happening is the device is syncing. I am assuming it is doing my facebook, picasa, you tube, and twitter sync. Somethimes it recovers and works and sometimes it has the sync symbol an hour later and I have to reboot the device.
using Photon 4G with Airtel prepaid sim with system version 45.3.6.MB855.Sprint.en, Whenever I run short codes (USSD codes) like *123# to check my prepaid GSM balance or interact with service provider by *121# it takes long time showing USSD code running.. and after few mins either shows MMI successfully complete or MMI failed but doesnt actually show the text which is shown in my other GSM phones; to query balance or activate some service. Tried forums but no concrete solution.

The phone reboots itself sometimes when I try to make or receive a phone call (2 or 3 times a day). I know this is happening to other Photon owners and I already tried the factory reset twice. My build # is 4.5.1A-1_SUN-198_6. Does anyone know a fix for that?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a major issue with my corporate exchange calendar. If I accept an invitation to a meeting, the phone makes me the organizer of the meeting. This syncs back to my corporate calendar. This is obviously completely wrong. If I delete the meeting on my phone, or on my computer, it sends out a message to everyone that was on the meeting saying that it was cancelled. If I need to adjust the meeting only on my calendar, it sends out an update to everyone. It has caused a lot of confusion for me and my work colleagues.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHas anyone seen / experienced this? When I have my photon in the car dock and using the GPS, I am unable to receive incoming calls. My girlfriend has called me for the past three days and she says my phone rings and rings and goes to voicemail. I have Sprint Service. I am not using TeleNav or any other navagation, I am just using the GPS mode and Bluetooth is also running. I dont have any other issues with not receiving incoming calls unless its in the dock.

I did a full factory reset about a month ago. the last couple of days the phone has been freezing with the alarm. the alarm will go off and I might get one or two snoozes out of it then the display freezes and is unresponsive. O can push the power button to get the power off menu but the screen will not respond to allow a power off, I must remove the battery to reset the phone.and as anyone who has a Photon knows how much fun putting the back on is. Any ideas.again this is a pretty fresh reboot and I do not have near as many apps running as before the reboot

View 6 Replies View RelatedAnyone used or using Drive First?I installed it, was using it, but just too much for me, I already use a car dock, motospeak and bluetooth.(Yes, trying to be safe).It just does not intrgrate well with Google Voice.Anyway, it seemed to install an app when I signed up for it, the app is called Smart Device Manager.After cancelling Drive First it continues to lock my screen when the car moves.I figured out which app is is, but the only available option is "uninstall updates" and it keeps wanting to re-update the app after I uninstalled updates. I have uninstalled updates and reinstalled a few times, but it seems that app is dug in there, and won't leave.Because Sprint customer service has NO CLUE (after 4 reps) how the app works, or how to get rid of it?

It went up a lot after the last update but seems even longer now, is there anything I can do about this, 7 minutes seems excessive to me.
I am using a Photon on Sprint's 3G EVDO network. When I open the Settings application, and click on the option to check for Motorola software update, the following screen is displayed: "Check for update is not available at this time. Try again later." When I am on a Wi-Fi network, a similar message is displayed (no screenshot): "Your device is up to date! No update is necessary at this time." Can somebody please provide more information as to what specifically is causing the message in my screenshot below to appear?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI really wish the Photon would display the actual time when an incoming text was sent rather than the time the phone received it. For instance, someone sends me a text at 3am while my phone is turned off. Then at 8am I turn it back on and received the text. But I have no idea what time the text was actually sent because it will be marked as 8am. With previous phones I had it would always show the actual time it was sent. Is this a bug or are all android phones like this?

View 5 Replies View RelatedOk, I set my Photon in the webtop dock, but just to charge on my desk, not using the webtop program. It used to display a choice of "Widget Clock" or Webtop, and it no longer does. Maybe I clicked the don't ask again box last time? I do not remember, it's been a few weeks since I used the dock. Anyway I am SURE this is a simple setting somewhere, but I cannot, for the life of me, find it to turn the selection screen back on. I cleared the cache and settings, still no selection screen.

I usually leave 4G off becuase it never works anyway (Despite the fact that I live in a good sized city that claims to have coverage). I certainly don't need 4G scan to be running in a basement or an insulated building. It's a waste and I think that off should mean off.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI've recently traveled overseas and had the weather widget on my homescreen. It updated sucessfully via wifi while I was there. When I've returned to the states, however, my widget still says the foreign city, the dates for the weather are the dates of my travel and it won't update.
In addition, if I try to add any city, it says "Can't add new city now. Try again later." This happens over both the data connection and wifi. I've done everything but a factory reset, including rebooting and removing & re-adding the widget.
