So now I still cannot use MMS or carrier internet and the latest software update will not run, it can be downloaded but after running it 12 times it indicates update was unsuccessful. Is there anyway of reflashing the whole phone to start from scratch.
View 6 RepliesAfter the latest update I lost my hotmail account and charter account. They are seen in my accounts but nulled out. I can not delete them. Also, if I try to add them back, I have no options anymore for adding email accounts. It only gives options for Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Lotus Notes, and Skype and the lotus notes and skype is there because I additionally installed that. Does anyone review functions of the phone before they release updates or are we all just Beta testers for Sprint and Motorola. I had just got my phone fixed with all the other issues.

View 12 Replies View Relatedusing Photon 4G with Airtel prepaid sim with system version 45.3.6.MB855.Sprint.en, Whenever I run short codes (USSD codes) like *123# to check my prepaid GSM balance or interact with service provider by *121# it takes long time showing USSD code running.. and after few mins either shows MMI successfully complete or MMI failed but doesnt actually show the text which is shown in my other GSM phones; to query balance or activate some service. Tried forums but no concrete solution.

Mine seems to hang at night (seemingly about 20min after I plug it in for charging) and stays on yesterdays date and time until somehow it corrects itself the next day. There is no way to "activate it" or make it correct itself. All other clocks and calendars are correct.

The phone reboots itself sometimes when I try to make or receive a phone call (2 or 3 times a day). I know this is happening to other Photon owners and I already tried the factory reset twice. My build # is 4.5.1A-1_SUN-198_6. Does anyone know a fix for that?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a major issue with my corporate exchange calendar. If I accept an invitation to a meeting, the phone makes me the organizer of the meeting. This syncs back to my corporate calendar. This is obviously completely wrong. If I delete the meeting on my phone, or on my computer, it sends out a message to everyone that was on the meeting saying that it was cancelled. If I need to adjust the meeting only on my calendar, it sends out an update to everyone. It has caused a lot of confusion for me and my work colleagues.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHas anyone seen / experienced this? When I have my photon in the car dock and using the GPS, I am unable to receive incoming calls. My girlfriend has called me for the past three days and she says my phone rings and rings and goes to voicemail. I have Sprint Service. I am not using TeleNav or any other navagation, I am just using the GPS mode and Bluetooth is also running. I dont have any other issues with not receiving incoming calls unless its in the dock.

I did a full factory reset about a month ago. the last couple of days the phone has been freezing with the alarm. the alarm will go off and I might get one or two snoozes out of it then the display freezes and is unresponsive. O can push the power button to get the power off menu but the screen will not respond to allow a power off, I must remove the battery to reset the phone.and as anyone who has a Photon knows how much fun putting the back on is. Any ideas.again this is a pretty fresh reboot and I do not have near as many apps running as before the reboot

View 4 Replies View RelatedAnyone used or using Drive First?I installed it, was using it, but just too much for me, I already use a car dock, motospeak and bluetooth.(Yes, trying to be safe).It just does not intrgrate well with Google Voice.Anyway, it seemed to install an app when I signed up for it, the app is called Smart Device Manager.After cancelling Drive First it continues to lock my screen when the car moves.I figured out which app is is, but the only available option is "uninstall updates" and it keeps wanting to re-update the app after I uninstalled updates. I have uninstalled updates and reinstalled a few times, but it seems that app is dug in there, and won't leave.Because Sprint customer service has NO CLUE (after 4 reps) how the app works, or how to get rid of it?

I was curious to see if there was an update for it and went to its page in the market and it says its not available for my carrier?I kept getting the little yellow triangle.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI woke up today to find a download in the notification list on my Photon.It was stuck at 14% for a good amount of time, so I powered it off and on again.I came on here and found out that an update had been released so I went into my Settings About phone and tried to update the Motorola Software, and now I'm getting the message in the subject.I've tried Googling the problem, tried clearing caches, etc, but I still can't download the update manually.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that the volume is low after last update, when i first got the phonw it was loud and clear. After the update i can hardly here the alamr anymore. My ringtones are low as well, even playing back music. Is anybody else having this issue, any suggestions?.
One more thing, i also tested it out, by going to the sprint store checking the floor model and comparing it to mine, it was way louder and didnt have the latest update.
After the last update to 45.3.6.MB855.Sprint.en.US (4.5.1A-1_SUN-198_6) my 4G signal does not stay active but for a minute then it ZZZ out and/or I lose data. Have to revert to 3G. One time I could not turn it on at all until a reboot. No error messages no other issues.
I guess I'll await the next update but it is annoying. a 4G phone that rarely runs as 4G lately.
in the other thread it was asked that we make individual threads for each ota update error. The one i am experiencing is for the file/system/app/AccountAndSyncSettings.apk failing validation. It claims that the "assert failed" at this file.I just bought this and haven't modded anything or even know how too. I did however buy the lapdock and it will be at my door in a couple days, i really want this update so it works.also it fails with status
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've tried installing the official Motorola update 4 times and every time it is unsuccessful. The update says it is available for download, then downloads and asks to be installed. I choose to install it and the phone reboots. It then goes to the progress screen, gets to about 40%, and then shows the triangle with exclamation mark inside of it. Then the phone reboots and pops up a message saying update failed.
I have done 2 full factory updates (erased all memory), called Sprint, talked to a Motorola level 2 tech, and gotten nothing. No one has even tried to troubleshoot this issue or recommend anything.
why wifi was working when the update came down and now it refuses to work? I press the toggle to turn on wifi and I am greeted with "error" in little letters under it.you managed to actually make this useless to me down here! When I go into Wireless & Network Settings and click on WiFi, all it says is Error and nothing happens. When I try to turn in 4G nothing seems to happen.I am able to turn on Bluetooth and 3G took a couple of Profile updates to get working.

When the update was installed and the phone rebooted, the battery was down under 10% and is taking forever to charge. Is this a bad side effect of today's update or did the battery somehow get fried during the update process?
View 4 Replies View RelatedRunning 45.4.13 with Voicemail App Version T.5.2.0.26, I have the following issue:
1. I get voicemails
2. When I try to retrieve the voicemail I cannot play it and an errors pops saying "Unable to Play"
3. I have to reboot the phone in order to retrieve voicemail.
4. I do get a dialog that something about verifying account information.
I don't have any third party apps installed related to voicemail. This behavior started happening after the update.
It broke my phone... I can no longer turn on 4G or turn on the wireless. I found this out within 5 minutes of installing the update.I have not played with the phone enough to find out if it broke anything else. I press the buttons, or icons on the screen to turn these on, and they do nothing. I can hold on the icon and it will allow you to move them though

The reason I ask is when I connect the Photon to the vehicle navigation dock it defaults the calls to speakerphone (not the vehicle speakers) and if I turn the speakerphone off the caller can be heard through the car speakers BUT the caller cannot hear me.
