Is there a setting to allow a caller to be heard through the vehicle speakers while not muting the microphone?
The reason I ask is when I connect the Photon to the vehicle navigation dock it defaults the calls to speakerphone (not the vehicle speakers) and if I turn the speakerphone off the caller can be heard through the car speakers BUT the caller cannot hear me.
When making or recieving a call using the Motorola Car Dock for the Photon the Microphone is muted.Expected behavior: Making a call using the Car dock, Audio is routed thrugh car stereo using the Micro USB/Aux connector. Microphone on phone picks up your voice as it would on any other call.

View 3 Replies View Relatedall the recent photos that I have taken apparently do not show up when trying to view them on my PC. I am using a PNY MicroSDHC Class 10 SD Card. I only noticed this just now when trying to transfer some of my recent photo images to my pc - unfortunately, they are only in thumbnail size.I can view the DCIM.thumbnails but they (large 8mp size jpg) are missing in the DCIMCamera folder. > this is examined when plugging into PC (USB Mass Storage)I tried searching the entire photon for the JPG's by date but the full size ones are not there. Only the thumbnails of the recent and old and old large size photos are there.
I took a few shots right now and the same thing is happening. I have set the camera to save on SD card.All my past images/videos and files/documents are still viewable in full size on the SD card via windows explorer. I tried to power down and remove-reinsert SD card but the recent images in full size are not there.I did a search via windows explorer for all JPEGs on the entire drive but it seems all of the recent photos I took are not there, only the thumbnail files.Also, I had purchased this card "as is" new and never did any formating - it seemed to have worked okay up until now.
i bought a photon at best buy today, carried it around for a while, installed the netflix app, brought it home, plugged it in, and after i tell it to install the system update, it downloads, i click install, and it shuts down immediately, starts itself back up, and then as soon as everything comes back up, i get a message that says update has failed. this has happened 3 times now, downloaded on wi-fi

View 2 Replies View RelatedI completed an update on my Atrix on Monday morning. Since then I have not been able to view my pictures that I took before the update. Some of my music files will not play or are no longer visible. I do not have the option to set up the facelock option, I also do not appear to have a phonebook any longer. Was my update incomplete? Is something wrong with my memory/micro SD card? Or is something else wrong with my phone?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have an Atrix 4G, I am running Android version 2.3.6 and the build number is 4.5.141 I completed the recent update last night and everything seems fine except...I charged the phone overnight and when I unplugged it this morning, the phone continued to indicate that it is charging. There's a little Harry-Potter-lighting-bolt on the battery symbol in the top right corner, and the battery symbol is constantly going through the animation of "filling up" as it does when it's charging.Also, when the screen times-out and I press the power button on the back, I see the message "charging (80%)." (Needless to say, my phone isnot plugged in.) The percentage of the charge slowly decreases over the course of the day, as it would normally.I guess this problem isn't affecting my ability to use the phone, but it's odd and alarming to see something as basic as this fail to work properly after the update.
View 2 Replies View RelatedEverything was working fine until last night when I did the recent update. I updated fine, synced a new playlist charged up and popped out for a run this morning. Very surprisingly the GPS picked up straight away but it was very quickly apparent that the audio had gone. I say gone but not completely.. there was no 'workout started' and no music playing. 1st thing was to obviously turn the volume up which when max volume was reached I did hear the beep.
Next after removing the headphones, plugging them into my phone and using the free app that plays music to the beat of my steps (brilliant) i got home and did a factory reset. No difference, can hear the max volume beep but nothing else, I've tried other headphones and the same. When I go to the music and press play nothing happens literally.. no pause button comes up... it must be registering the headphones because I can hear the max volume beep but its the only thing I can think..
I have the D1, I can receive text messages just fine from my sisters phone, but not my friends phone, they both receive my text just fine. My friend said he had recently got an update, if there was an update, what is the current build so I can verify mine, this issue has been going on for 1 to 2 weeks now. I use the stock text app as well as handcent. my friend uses only the stop app. any ideas as it is getting really irritating
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I noticed it for the first time on 2/25. My lapdock 500 doesn't charge properly anymore. I posted it first in the Lapdock forum, but now I post it here, because I noticed it doesn't charge properly only when Razr is docked. So I think it is the Razr issue and not the Lapdock issue.
When Razr is docked its battery will charge fully, however, the lapdock's battery will just sit there with the lightning bolt visible, but is not charging (24% currently). The phone's battery status continuously changes between Full/Discharging/Full..
The dock starts charging just fine as soon as the Razr is undocked. Any thoughts?
Edit: So I just noticed the Lapdock battery will charge only if the phone battery that is docked is not full. As soon as the phone battery is full the Lapdock battery stops charging.
Forget about it all. My Lapdock died today completely. Got a new one and everything is working just fine.
Mi Xoom has stopped playing any sound through the internal speakers. They worked fine in the beginning, but a week ago they were muted for games, video and music. However, i do get the sound through headphones.The speakers are not broken, as i get notification and alarm sounds normally.I tried the factory resetting, but without success...Problem might have come up when i tried headphones for the first time or when downloading some volume control app -unfortunately i cannot say precisely when the problem occurred.

Sure enough my wife calls again; strangely I can hear her but she can't hear me and hangs up. Assuming that there was a problem with her signal I call her back to she if things cleared up. She still couldn't hear me and hung up again. I thought to turn silent mode off and attempt to call her again. She could hear me.

I was curious to see if there was an update for it and went to its page in the market and it says its not available for my carrier?I kept getting the little yellow triangle.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI woke up today to find a download in the notification list on my Photon.It was stuck at 14% for a good amount of time, so I powered it off and on again.I came on here and found out that an update had been released so I went into my Settings About phone and tried to update the Motorola Software, and now I'm getting the message in the subject.I've tried Googling the problem, tried clearing caches, etc, but I still can't download the update manually.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that the volume is low after last update, when i first got the phonw it was loud and clear. After the update i can hardly here the alamr anymore. My ringtones are low as well, even playing back music. Is anybody else having this issue, any suggestions?.
One more thing, i also tested it out, by going to the sprint store checking the floor model and comparing it to mine, it was way louder and didnt have the latest update.
After the last update to 45.3.6.MB855.Sprint.en.US (4.5.1A-1_SUN-198_6) my 4G signal does not stay active but for a minute then it ZZZ out and/or I lose data. Have to revert to 3G. One time I could not turn it on at all until a reboot. No error messages no other issues.
I guess I'll await the next update but it is annoying. a 4G phone that rarely runs as 4G lately.
in the other thread it was asked that we make individual threads for each ota update error. The one i am experiencing is for the file/system/app/AccountAndSyncSettings.apk failing validation. It claims that the "assert failed" at this file.I just bought this and haven't modded anything or even know how too. I did however buy the lapdock and it will be at my door in a couple days, i really want this update so it works.also it fails with status
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've tried installing the official Motorola update 4 times and every time it is unsuccessful. The update says it is available for download, then downloads and asks to be installed. I choose to install it and the phone reboots. It then goes to the progress screen, gets to about 40%, and then shows the triangle with exclamation mark inside of it. Then the phone reboots and pops up a message saying update failed.
I have done 2 full factory updates (erased all memory), called Sprint, talked to a Motorola level 2 tech, and gotten nothing. No one has even tried to troubleshoot this issue or recommend anything.
why wifi was working when the update came down and now it refuses to work? I press the toggle to turn on wifi and I am greeted with "error" in little letters under it.you managed to actually make this useless to me down here! When I go into Wireless & Network Settings and click on WiFi, all it says is Error and nothing happens. When I try to turn in 4G nothing seems to happen.I am able to turn on Bluetooth and 3G took a couple of Profile updates to get working.

When the update was installed and the phone rebooted, the battery was down under 10% and is taking forever to charge. Is this a bad side effect of today's update or did the battery somehow get fried during the update process?
View 4 Replies View RelatedRunning 45.4.13 with Voicemail App Version T.5.2.0.26, I have the following issue:
1. I get voicemails
2. When I try to retrieve the voicemail I cannot play it and an errors pops saying "Unable to Play"
3. I have to reboot the phone in order to retrieve voicemail.
4. I do get a dialog that something about verifying account information.
I don't have any third party apps installed related to voicemail. This behavior started happening after the update.
It broke my phone... I can no longer turn on 4G or turn on the wireless. I found this out within 5 minutes of installing the update.I have not played with the phone enough to find out if it broke anything else. I press the buttons, or icons on the screen to turn these on, and they do nothing. I can hold on the icon and it will allow you to move them though
View 15 Replies View RelatedI have a Photon that I purchased new March 2012 with 45.3.6. I have never rooted however the update to 45.4.13 will not load. I have done factory reset, both from settings and hard reset. It will download the update fine, it just gets the triangle!. At about 1/4 of the way to updating then will restart and say update failed. I have tried more then 10+ times and nothing works. I even took it to 2 different Sprint stores and they couldn't get it to work also. They wanted to charge me to do anything more to the phone. I haven't been able to get the info on holding the volume up and down key, it goes away too fast.
