I am unable to send an email with a new attachment via my corporate email. It does not matter if the attachment is 50kb or 1mb. I tried to do the same via GMail and had no issues. If I receive a corporate email with an attachment, I can forward that without any issues. The problem is when I add an attachment to an email. I also tried using Touchdown which had the same issue.
I have tried the following:
checked exchange / activesync settings to verify no restrictions reformatted the sd card, even though attachments were not on there. couple of reboots removing and re-adding the corporate account
Is anyone else having any problems sending texts with attachments? I am using Handscent and Go SMS Pro in addition to the standard text program that came with my bionic. For some reason lately, I can't to get an attachment to go through (video or picture) for any of the text programs on the bionic. It runs, and runs, and runs (and uses up battery power) but it never seems to go through most of the time. At other times, it goes through (video) with no problems.
My business email is hosted on a private server. My incoming mail comes through that server, of course, while my outgoing mail goes through Cox, my ISP. Problem is that while I can receive email with the native app on my DRIOID Bionic, I can't send email. Motorola telephone support helped me get it set up correctly (send and receive) with K9, but it's only receiving with the native app. (Support pretty much bailed at that point.) How can I get it to send also with the native app?
I am trying to figure out how I delete corporate emails from my phone only and not have it delete from my Corporate Outlook inbox as well. I've tried everything I can find and still am having no luck.
I placed a new event on my phone this afternoon and when I got back to my office I noticed it wasn't on my desktop calendar. I couldn't understand why it didn't sync. I went the phone and saw that the calendar was "phone" calendar not the corporate calendar. There was no way to edit the phone calendar on the page to choose which calendar to place the new event, like I could on my OG Droid.
None of the contact icons for my corporate contacts sync to my Bionic. All of my contacts in Microsoft Exchange have contact icons associated with them, and on my HTC Thunderbolt the icons synced without an issue. On my Bionic none of the icons are syncing, so all of my corporate contacts are without icons. Why are corporate contact icons not syncing, and how can I get them to sync?
I have my work e-mail set up on my corporate sync account. Currently under E-mail settings, E-mail delivery, & folder sync, I would like my sent items to sync in the background as my inbox does. Every time I change it to automatically sync in the background, it reverts back to manual as soon as I leave my e-mail. Is there anyway to force this to sync in the background? Will this be corrected in the upcoming update?
I am getting through setting up my corporate sync> I can get through the following setup steps:
Open Applications tray, select My Accounts Select Add Account You will be at the Set-Up accounts menu with several other social network icons
Tap on Corporate Sync: Enter: Domain nameuser name Enter Password Use secure server should be checked. Enter Email address Enter Exchange Server Address Tap on Next to submit settings.
Handset will check with server and verify if successful. If you receive error could not auto detect server, touch OK to manually enter the server name. It then appears that I have connected to my exchange. I can then open up the email account settings and review/change the settings and I will always get the prompt that the update was successful. The connection error only appears when I open the account to check the inbox. The refresh symbol keeps spinning and eventually times out with the connection error.
when I got update I had to do hard reset due to phone acting up. Now I can't set up my corporate email. Advises it failed to load. So you have to set it up before update and hope you never have to do a hard reset. Also noticed I have more data drop outs and data is very slow.
I have a razr maxx hd and ever since I did the jellybean update, my corporate email will synch correctly for a few hours and then stop synching. This may last for couple of hours or all day. I have deleted the account several times and also have done a FDR
I added MSN (microsoft hotmail) as a Exchange account but can't find the icon. I'm getting notifications but I can't get to the account to send a message. No problem with my pop or gmail accounts.
Trying to set up corporate email sync. It sets up fine and pulls down my calendar, but won't get the email. When I try to view the email, I get a "connection error" message. It says it can't sync with the exchange server.
Tech support on the phone was useless - told me to go t the store and try it on another phone. really? The automated voice repsonse system said to download the instructions for getting the right exchange server settings to give to IT. I went tot he website and when I clicked on the link tot he file, it said - "sorry - that answer is not available"
I've been dealing with this fall morning, and am really frustrated - just needed to vent. If I can't get this worked out in short order I'm going to return the phone, and go back to the old "dumb phone"
I set up the corporate email app when I first got my droid turbo 4 weeks ago. I used the same settings that I did with my RAZR MAXX HD. initially replies were sent correctly but after about a week they became jammed up in the Outbox. I had to delete the account and started again but this time it only worked for 2 days.
I have a Motorola Turbo running android 4.4.4.. I can receive Corporate emails but when I reply to emails they stay in the Outbox and shows a "Internal Error" message. Also, there is a report button that doesn't seem to do anything. I am going out of town for work and desperately need to send or reply to corporate emails.
I have a razr maxx hd and ever since I did the jellybean update, my corporate email will synch correctly for a few hours and then stop synching. This may last for couple of hours or all day. I have deleted the account several times and also have done a FDR. I am still having the same problem. The coporate email is one of the main functions that I use my phone for, so its very important that it works correctly. I have tried it off WIFI and on WIFI with the same issues. It just periodically loses connection with the server and gives error message that says "Couldn't find connection to server". Like I said, this may last for only couple of hours or most of the day and then it just starts working again.
I cannot save attachments to the phone or to my external SD card, which is not encrypted. I have no Exchange 2010 security policies blocking attachments. ICS is not set to encrypt anything. I use NitroDesk TouchDown, which also has no saving restrictions or encryption set.I go through the process of Save, or Save All, and try to save, or create a new folder in which to save, and then click to save the file. I can see the new folder I created, but there is never a file saved. Rebooting does not make it show, nor does dismounting and remounting the SD card.Probably related to the above problem, if I have an email in TD with an attachment, for example a DOCX file, I can open it in Documents to Go, but if I do a Save As from there, it will not let me save it anywhere. If I use Docs to Go and create a new Word doc, I can save it anywhere I choose, so it is as though TD will not let me manipulate my attachments.
I have a single corporate email account setup (Settings/Accounts), the account syncs correctly when on 4G/3G. It also syncs correctly on Wi-Fi as long as I force the phone to stay awake (scroll on the screen/push a button every so often to keep the phone awake). However when using Wi-Fi and I hit the power button shutting the screen off putting the phone to sleep, it causes my corporate sync account to throw a "Connection Error" icon (orange triangle with exclamation point in the middle) at the top of the screen. Why do I think it is a sleeping/Wi-Fi issue? Because if on Wi-Fi and I hit the power button and wait a few seconds and hit it again turning the screen on the CE icon is there. If I force the screen to stay on (method above) I never get the error. If I switch my Razr to use 4G/3G and try the same power button on/off test method, I never get the error.
I have confirmed in my Wi-Fi settings Wi-Fi Sleep policy is set to Never and I do not have any Smart Actions turning Wi-Fi off. This seemed to have happened after the .173 update. I have also forced my phone to connect to another Access Point in my house to try and isolate this issue to an AP problem but my Razr exhibits the same behavior. Also confirmed in My Accounts|Corporate Sync|Server Settings "Verify Server" that I get "Success!" in the Verification Result Window.

Having problem downloading attachments with default email app. When clicked on the app says it is 'fetching' the document but often never works. I can go to a browser based client for, say yahoo mail or comcast mail and the attachment is quickly downloaded. Why the default email app is having this problem?
I have a Droid razr maxx and an exchange server with it configured on.my phone However now Im having trouble sending any email with my razr maxx on the exchange account if I try and add any sort of attachment to the email it refuses to send just sits in my outbox?
I have caller ID blocking on my cell phone number, because, I do not want everyone I call to see my number. I have always had it set up that way. Numbers in my contact list, however, have *82 programed in front of the number so friends, etc. will know it is me calling. This works fine when I call a contact, but, when I try to text the same number, I get the error "The message must contain valid recipients and content" and am unable to send the text. If I manually enter the same number without the *82, I can send the text, but, nobody knows who it is from, because, my umber will not be revealed. This never happened on my original Droid (running 2.2.1). This is a real pain in the ..
My phone vibrates for phone calls and texts but not emails.I just want to make sure this is reported somewhere. I called Motorola directly but they are reluctant to report anything.
Tried to sign in on regular account received note saying email sent, did not get. clicked forgot password, received message sent email to reset password, did not get
Has anyone experienced this problem? I have five email accounts on my phone, four regular and one corporate. I have them all setup to check for mail every hour. Before the ICS update, they all worked fine on that schedule. After the ICS update, the corporate account still updates fine, but the other four do not. I changed them to update every half hour, but no change. They still do not update. If I go to the account and manually refresh it, it will download my emails.
I have been using various Android phones now for quite a while (including some Motorola ones) and I've never had this happen before..I have multiple email accounts setup on my phone (both Exhange and POP). In the past, I could use the "Email" icon and tap on the name of the email account at the top and it would drop down a list of email accounts on the phone and then I could choose the one that I wanted. Now, when I click on the name of the email account, I get a list of folders on the default account. I cannot find a way to switch accounts other than going to the Messaging icon and picking it there. I do not like the universal inbox. I would love to know a shortcut if anyone has figured this out other than having to go to the messaging section.
My E7 has stopped sending emails with attached files.Emails with attachments sit in outbox and get the "Unable to open while sending" tip when I try to view/edit the email.AFAIK, nothing has changed in terms of my setup as the E7 recieves emails with attachments, sends emails without attachments. I can't seem to find any in depth settings to do with server ports and such within the mail settings anymore.
This botched release of ice cream has taken a lot of time. Support personnel don't know the product. I've been disconnected twice from Motorola personnel. That's an old trick - hang up on the customer in mid-sentence - pretend it's a phone problem - don't call back.
I've figured out most of the goop. The last problem I have is that I do get the green notification light for text messages but it's gone for e-mails. Does anyone know how to get the light back?
Motorola, you did a poor job with this release. Support personnel don't know the product and you are way understaffed to handle all the calls.
I get no led notification, screen off or of course screen on. Occasionally the led will flash a single time when the phone goes into sleep mode but no more after that. Not for email, text message, nothing. Tried a reset and no led even before re-installing 3rd party apps. None of the led apps worked either.
I have my Work email to Fetch Menually. However, it is updating in no particular time frame. Once and a while it will just let me know I have a new email. I am assuming it should not retrieve any messages unless I open the email app.
