View 2 RepliesAfter upgrading to 2.3.4 my battery is drained from 100% to about 5% in about 3 hours. I noticed that data is constantly being sent and received. It seems if I change my emaill devlivery option on corporate sync email accounts from push to a periodic time, things gets much better. If I delete all but 1 coorporate sync email account battery life also returns to something tolerable. I am not receiving a lot of emails (less than 20 emails messages during the time). It seems as though multiple corporate sync emails accounts was broken in Gingerbread in a way that push email is not practical as battery is consumed and data is rate is too high. Without receiving any email had exchanged a few MB of data in less than an hour. Having single corporate sync account alleviate the data load and extended the battery life back to normal.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI am having the following significant corporate sync issues with Contacts and Calendar after upgrading my Atrix to Gingerbread 2.3.4. 4.5.91.MB860.ATT.en, Calendar events entered on Atrix do not show up on Outlook (exchange server) through corporate sync. Events entered on Outlook do show up on Atrix. Events originally entered in Outlook and then modified on Atrix disappear in Outlook although they remain on Atrix. When I add a picture to a contact on the Atrix the "file as" disappears in Outlook. When I add the "file as" back to the contact in Outlook the picture disappears from the contact on the Atrix. This is very annoying as I rely on the pictures associated with the contacts for phone, emails and messaging. In addition this makes it difficult to find my contacts in Outlook.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter the gingerbread update I found that the proximity sensor would quit workng and the only solution was to restart the phone. I found that using bluetooth caused this behavior (repeated several times) by getting it to fail (although not every time) using the following sequence.
1. Power down and restart the phone (so that it was in a known state)
2. Call voice mail to confirm that the proximity sensor was working
3. Turn on blue tooth.
4. Turn off blue tooth. (didn't use it in between other then to connect with headset)
5. Call voice mail and proximity sensor would not work.
6. Cycle power on phone
7. Call voice mail and proximity sensor would work.
My solution was to quit using bluetooth and have not been using since the first week I updated to gingerbread. I did have the sensor quit working one time since but didn't think much of it until my daughter-in-law told me she had the same problem and she doesn't use bluetooth but she does use the speaker phone much more than I do. I believe that both speaker phone and bluetooth functions disable the sensor while in use. Is it possible that it is not always getting re-enabled? I have seen other posts concerning the proximity sensor not working but have not seen a tie to bluetooth use.
I had been successfully syncing with my coporate exchange server since I got my Droid X last year. I received the OTA update last night for my Droid X. This morning I started the install. After the install it said that my administrator said that I must encrpyt the data on my phone for to be able to sync with the exchange server. I said yes and the phone went through a lengthy process to encrypt the data. After that it showed a coporate sync connect error. I re-entered my password but that did not help. The error says the the administrator is unable to provision my phone. I tried deleting the account and adding it back in and still get the same error.I looked at the data encryption settings under location and security and now it says that I cannot turn off data encryption. It says "The encryption settings was turned on by your administrator. You cannot turn it off". If I cannot connect to corporate email anymore, I do not want the data encrypted as I am sure it will slow down the phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to Gingerbread and can't figure out how to set up Corporate Sync. In Froyo there was a place to enter the mail server URL but that doesn't exist in Gingerbread. Since we have multiple mail servers, I think that entry is required. I've tried every combination of domain, username and password I can think might work but I always get an "invalid login" error.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter the gingerbread update I've noticed that my calendar is no longer updated with my corporate entries. The email still syncs correctly and believes I have my corporate sync account. However, in the Accounts list, the corporate sync account is missing. I attempted to set it up again and I get an error: "This account has already been added". The only thing I could think of is I had Touchdown installed prior to the update. Is there any way to purge the account without a factory reset?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy to an Atrix 2. All my contacts are stored on my corporate exchange server. I had no trouble setting up my Atrix 2 for corporate sync, and all my e-mails, calendar appointments, and contacts came down to my phone quickly.
However, none of my contacts have pictures. I have searched the forums and found an article telling me to go to the accounts menu to select which account pictures should come from, but there is no such menu on my phone.
What do I need to do to get contact pictures on my phone ? I administer the phones for my corporation, and this is the only smart phone I have ever encountered that did not show contact pictures (Samsung, HTC, Iphone, etc, etc).
I've had the phone for around two weeks and so far about every few days I get the "unable to connect" notification regarding my corporate sync account through Motoblur. The latest incident was this morning. When I woke up I noticed that I didn't have the indicator light blinking on the outside of the phone when I know that I should've received e-mails throughout the night. When I went to go check it, I got the spinning circle for a minute or two and then "unable to connect" or whatever the connection error says. In this instance I was connected to my wireless network at home and my web browser was moving along very quickly so I know it wasn't the means to connect to my mail server that was the problem. Simply shutting off my phone and restarting fixed the connection issue this morning. The time before that, I received the error and then left the phone on my desk for about 20 minutes and it reconnected itself.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Atrix 2 and initially set up a Corporate Sync account several months ago. I had no issues with this account until last week, when my Exchange server migrated.I tried adding the new server name, but that did not fix the problem. I was advised by my company (Microsoft) tech support to delete the Corporate Sync account and then re-create it.I proceeded to create the Corporate Sync account via Setting > Accounts > Add Account > Corporate Sync, but when I keyed in my information (Email address, Password, Domain, and Username) and clicked Next, I received this error:Sorry! The application Accounts (process.com.motorola.setup) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.I have restarted the phone numerous times, but this error still occurs. I haven't found any helpful information online thus far

View 15 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to 2.3.6, my contacts and calendar entries in my corporate account disappeared. I deleted the account, rebooted and readded the account back, however the account name now has a 1 after it (shown at the top of the email list) and the account does not show up under Settings/Accounts. Is it in a different place now? How do I get my contacts and calendar entries back? I am receiving corporate email, but not getting any notifications. Everything else on the phone appears to be working ok so far.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI wanted to do away from the security features (fingerprint swipe and PIN number) but I had to delete the Corporate Sync account before I could set the security to none. Then I went back to reinstall the Corporate Sync account but can't get the Exchange Serve to recognize my account info. Yes, I checked spelling and tried to reinstall dozens of times just to get "Error Logging to the account failed, please try again." I've checked and rechecked the data and I'm positive I've re-entered the account info correctly. And BTW - I'm not interested in purchasing Touchdown since I know my Atrix is capable of accessing my corporate exchange account.
View 8 Replies View RelatedSo has there been a fix yet for the awful battery life since Gingerbread? I am still so fed up with my less than a day battery life.
View 2 Replies View Relatedsince at&t started pushing gingrbread updates, many users have posted their issues with gingerbread. I have downloaded the updated but fortunatelly (?) have't installed it. I am perfetly hapy with my standard, non-rooted atrix with 2.2 the way it is, no bugs, no issues. However, I am also for the latest and greatest. So, before I install the update i would like to know if there is any way for downgrading back to froyo just in case GB gives me any trouble.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy phone call volume is fine but media playback volume is WAY too loud! Even with the phone volume and headset volume at the lowest it's too loud. This has only been a problem since the Gingerbread update. I tried the H17 on another phone and it works fine. Definitely a post Gingerbread issue.Anyone else have issues with this model headset or any other since the update?

Upgraded to Gingerbread on: Six/Months ago
Problem Discription: After reset of phone (soft i assume , via privacy > reset) The status bar (blue, top bar) came fine but disapeared after a minute (default/built-in launcher).
a) Did a reset again to see if it works - but no
b) Researched over internet & some genious mentioned its due to email.......Deleted btconnect email from motoblur, restarted. - it worked
c) Added an email acoount today again via Motoblur accounts>add account....account added fine bt status bar disappeared.
d) Installed go launcher EX & installed their email widget - noticed no disappearnce of bar but that widget seems not updating auto email/auto sync
All was working fine till two days ago before reset of phone. Not seems related to upgrade as it was done more than six months ago & there was no such issue. (this is the fisrt phone reset done on gingerbread though)
Still haven't figured out how to screen capture in Gingerbread.Thought it's native in 2.3.4!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have Corporate Sync set up with my company Exchange server for contacts only. Worked fine initially, but has been on and off again last few weeks. It is randomly not showing the Exchange contacts. At times they are all there, other times not. I'm not positive, but I think this issue started after the 1.57 upgrade. Incredibly frustrating when you're out and need to make a call and the contact isn't there.....If I update my credentials for the account, it shows "Updating service" and seems to finish fine - Not getting any password or connection errors.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSince upgrading to ICS, my phone will not sync with the Exchange Server.I've reformated the SD card & done the SW repair proceedure on the phone.I've deleted the phone profile on the Exchange server - so Exchange can detect and reload the profile anew The mail client doesn't show any email, but rather endlessly reports that it is syncing. The phone contacts do not sync with the server.
View 1 Replies View RelatedBefore the update, my gallery used to be able to sort by folders that I organized through computer. However, after the update it seems like the gallery put all my pictures in the same folder and can only be sorted by date, name, etc but not by folders.
Is there a way to display in folders with the stock gallery? I think the new gallery update is so inconvenient!
Will there will international locale support with the Gingerbread update? I'm from Singapore, and my set has no Simplified Chinese locale available for selection in 2.2. add support for Asian languages in the next update.

View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to Gingerbread I'm noticing that playing music via media players causes my Atrix to either lock up or spontaneously reboot. This is happening even after a factory reset. This had so far occured with Winamp (which I haven't reinstalled since my factory reset), Amazon MP3 and Google Music Beta. This has occured both while I was listening to the music on my Bluetooth headset (Jawbone ICON) and also just playing it back via the built-in speaker.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just updated my Atrix 4g with Gingerbread 2.3.4 and it fried my contacts lists. I had over 150 phone numbers that were trashed to 34 and some of these were even munged. Is there any way to recover my phone number lists? The update even stated in one screen that the contacts would not be touched, but I now have no groups and mostly suspect phone numbers.
