I'm sure this is a simple settings problem but i've been frustrated wih it for over a week and cannot find an answer anywhere. This is my second xoom - first one gmail links are clickable no problem. With the new one when i click on an embedded link in gmail, the screen dims and i go nowhere.
View 5 RepliesI have a Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi and if I receive an email with a link or a pdf attachment, if I click on the link the screen dims and nothing happens. Same thing if I click view to look at a pdf attachment.
View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently, I have been unable to open files or access links on my Xoom. For example, when I go into my downloads and touch the screen to open (say) a PDF file, the screen goes dull and then returns to normal brightness and my file doesn't open. If I go into Documents to Go and open the PDF file it seems to work OK however?Same thing is happening with video files, for example I touch a video file to open it in VPlayer and, again, the screen goes dull and I can't access the video. Same with music whcih I can only access through the music player, not through other routes such as Astro file manager etc. Also when I try to open some links to websites embedded in emails etc the screen goes dull and then bright again and the links don't work.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Verizon Xoom running 3.2, and since the update it appers as though I cannot open a link to a web page, or a document from a file browser (File Manager HD and ES File Explorer) or a link from Newsr feed reader. when I click on a link, the screen darkens a bit as if transitioning, but then nothing happens.

View 7 Replies View RelatedUnable to open any web links from an app or gmail ....started to happen a few minutes ago..these links are embedded in a email or from an app like pulse etc. I have stock broswer and dolphin HD ...and I select which one to displayed when the browser selection pop up window comes up.
Now the selection popup window does not come at all...and the screen goes about 50% dark and when touched anywhere on the screen ...it comes to normal brightness...
I have a 9700 bold that is only a couple of months old which I'm starting to have problems with. The main one being on the internet I can't click on links, the enter button won't work either so I'm unable to use it. Also there seems to be a delay sometimes once I've pressed a button or rolled the centre button.

But slowly, over the past few weeks, I've suddenly not been able to click links on any webpages. I can type things in, like in a Google search, but then can't click the search button and nothing happens when I press the enter button on my keyboard either. I know this isn't specific to certain websites because it's happening on sites that worked fine before. I've tried changing my browser, none of them worked
View 5 Replies View RelatedI used the XOOM stock browser, and went to a web site that provides a visitor to download a file from it's web page by clicking on the file's label. By doing so, there is an arrow downloading shown on my XOOM, but it failed afterward. I let it ran for a while and then it failed. I am not be able to download anything from any web sites.
Is there any way to get correct this problem? The work around that I did was to downloading the file to my PC (using Chrome browser), and then moved it to XOOM.
mMy blackberry 9500 n it wnt let me click nething. i can scroll, do virtually everything else, but i cant click ne links or nething. i cant navigate off the page i get too because i cnt select nething. ne ideas?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen i was clicking on the View attachement button, or Play (for music file) the screen was dimming, but nothing was happening. Then i tried to open a video from gallery app - same thing. The screen is dimming, but nothing else is happening. Then i noticed the same thing from browser and figured that it happens everytime there should be a popup menu with programs to open the file menu it wasn't doing anything.

All of a sudden, the screen dims, (with like a blueish tint) but does nothing.I have tried clearing the cache, a hard reset (volume up and on button) and even used the reset to default in the browser settings. This is both for the stock browser and Dolphin Browser HD.

View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter cleaning up my download folder I notice that when I try to tap a email on the gmail widget the screen turns dark and just sits there. It will no longer open gmail and let me read the mail but if I open gmail using the app it works fine. I have also notice this with some of the downloads within the email app but not through the gallery.

I assumed that I had everything set up to receive my mail because I have been using gmail as my mail handler on my windows laptop, then being sent to M/S Outlook. I have cleared cache rebooted deleted two gmail accounts disabled sync etc. How do I fix this. I have thought about doing a android rest but others have done this without any luck.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSince upgrading to ICS, I've routinely encountered an error when exiting from the Gmail application. It happens often enough that it is pretty reproducible, and I'm wondering if anyone else is seeing this:
1) Open the Gmail app
2) Do some stuff
3) Tap the "home" button in the bottom left corner of the screen
4) Gmail will exit, I'm returned to the home screen, and an error dialog pops up that says "Unfortunately, Gmail has stopped", with two buttons for "Report" and "Ok".
Other details:
--It seems to happen whether I start Gmail from its widget or from the Gmail icon
--Shortly after upgrading to ICS I did a factory reset in order to do a clean install of ICS. This problem existed after the initial upgrade to ICS as well as after the clean install
If I connect to gmail via the browser on my Bold, when I hit "login" the phone reboots. The screen goes black, and there's a long error message, which stays only briefly on the screen. The first line of it says something like ARM1 DAL critical failure. Then it completely shuts down and starts up again.I can get to any other website via the phone's web browser, and I can also access my gmail account using the gmail app.I'm running the most recent version of software for the Bold 9650.
This problem began when I tried to access my gmail account while sitting in a sports betting bar in a Las Vegas hotel, where they have a sign that it's illegal to email or text betting information. Could they have nobbled my phone? The only reason I wanted to look at my gmail was because I'd seen a news item saying that information about users of a service I'd signed up for, had their information hacked by Anonymous and posted on a third party website. I was trying to get to gmail to change my password.
when i try to download the motocast usb, it downloads motocast wireless. it's just uploading my media to the motocast web access site, which i don't want.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Photon 4 G does not sync calendar, contact, Gmail with my company Gmail account. I believe that it just stopped syncing last week and I believe that it was following a Motorola update, but cannot say for sure. Under Data Delivery, both Background Data and Data enabled are checked green. However, this is interesting because Email and corporate sync is grayed out on that screen. When I go to Account, checking the sync options is not possible, but I can do a manual sync. Please note, at one time, these options to sync Contacts, Gmail and Calendar were available. I've pulled the batter. I really do not want to reset to factory default. Suggestions? (Please note this is a company Gmail account, not just regular Gmail.)

Ending a call produces a simple beep. It no longer answers calls with a click of the panel, or re-dials with a double click. What's wrong?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI loved how my old iPhone made it easy to click on phone numbers, email addresses, and links in emails, texts, web pages, etc. especially when I wanted to click on an address to show it on the map. My Atrix has never done that. Until recently I thought it was just something I had to put up with.
However, I got so frustrated I finally went looking for an answer. Now it seems that my Atrix is supposed to work the same way, so I'm wondering what the problem is with mine. It gets phone numbers and email addresses in emails, but doesn't recognize addresses.
Is there a setting I'm missing, or do I have a problem? I'm using the Gmail app for email.
I have followed the instructions suggested and it there is no option for text in the (more) menu whether in browser or replying.And copying links seems to be entirely hit or miss as well. I am finding this quite frustrating while trying to share links.
