I have a 9700 bold that is only a couple of months old which I'm starting to have problems with. The main one being on the internet I can't click on links, the enter button won't work either so I'm unable to use it. Also there seems to be a delay sometimes once I've pressed a button or rolled the centre button.

But slowly, over the past few weeks, I've suddenly not been able to click links on any webpages. I can type things in, like in a Google search, but then can't click the search button and nothing happens when I press the enter button on my keyboard either. I know this isn't specific to certain websites because it's happening on sites that worked fine before. I've tried changing my browser, none of them worked

View 4 Replies View Relatedi just switched from using android for 2 years and i'm ready to throw this thing in the effing trash after a day...when i first open a browser, the links work fine..maybe the first link or so...then they just stop working...when i click on a link it does nothing..i have to hold it until the menu pops up that says "open link" to get it to open...i googled this and lots of other people reported this problem and the only solutions seem to be remove the battery or reset device.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHere's an anomaly for ya. Whenever I browse the BlackBerry app catalog via my computer and click the "get this app" link, I get the email with the link attached no problem. Then I click on the link which prompts the Bberry browser. However, when I go to click the link that says "open in BlackBerry App World", the loading bar will appear on the bottom of the browser for a second and then....nothing happens.
So I checked all my permissions for the browser to ensure that everything is checked off (which it is). So I'm pretty sure that nothing is being inadvertantly blocked.
After working properly for two weeks, my VM-605 is acting weird. Every call begins with "the voice" saying CALL ENDED, and then it proceeds to accept or place the call. Ending a call produces a simple beep. It no longer answers calls with a click of the panel, or re-dials with a double click. What's wrong?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've bought and set up my new Bold 9900 yesterday. Everything seems to be working fine, but email reception shows me some problems. I'm receiving all my messages they are not being shown to full extent though. I have the following settings:
- Message Display and Actions, Auto More checked
- Email Preferences: Enable HTML checked, Download images automatically checked, confirm external image download not checked
Now, just for example I receive the "I can has cheezburger" newsletter which is about 45 kB and includes links to external pictures. The Bold doesn't load the pictures and it truncates the message and shows "Truncated 15397 bytes". "More", "more all" doesn't load the rest of the message.
My trackball won't click. (It will move the cursor, it just won't select anything.) I've found the that "enter" key will work in instead of the trackball click in most cases, but there are a few where it doesn't. For instance, I can't select a text field within a web form.
Can you suggest a keyboard shortcut to replace the trackball click?
I want to click one button and have an open blank text screen. My next step would be to select a contact. Can I go this?
Right now, I click the SMS and MMS app and it takes me to all my most recent messages. Then I click the menu button, then I scroll down to Compose SMS Text.
I tried to set up my bum and when I click on the icon it says it's locked. My phone is new so I am not sure what this means. I took it to sprint and they said I had to contact blackberry. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedSince I have had by Bold 9000, the trackball has always had problems with respect to movement but usually a little cleaning with a Q-tip and alcohol has done the trick. This time the problem is the ball doesnt seem to depress as much as it does or it doenst respond all the time. Have to use the enter button. When the trackball does respond it does double clicks. So If I open an email for example its already set up to reply. lol.
I read a trackball dome might fix things?
BTW my unit is still under warranty but I really dont want someone elses refurb if I can reliably fix it myself and know that the dome is the problem and nothing else ie the processor. Everything else appears OK.
I can get online but I can't click on anything. I get the arrow or hand but when I hit the tracker button nothing happens.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Bold 9700. It was purchased at Rogers, but it is currently under Koodo's service.The file free on my phone is 86,607,023 Bytes. The applications installed shown is only "FREE Earth Floats Animated Theme" from Mobstar Media Ltd. I'm not entirely sure what BT device model/version means, but if it's Bluetooth, I've never used that (and it is currently disabled according to my phone); however the previous owner may have used it with Rogers.
Now for the question:
Earlier today I dropped my BlackBerry on the floor and when I picked it up, I sent a text. Soon afterwards, my phone would not respond to pressing in (clicking) the trackpad. My phone still allowed me to scroll upwards, downwards, and to either side; the only thing it would not rspond to is pressing the trackpad.I had an epiphany in which I realized that I could simply hit the enter key to do anything (so far) that clicking in my trackpad will do; however, I still would like to be able to press in my trackpad to select options and such.
I read up some articles and they all said to either:1. Remove the battery for a period of time, or remove the battery/memory card/sim card for a period of time. 2. Press the button in 'hard' and this will 'free it up'.I did both of these, but had no luck.
One thing that I thought might help is reinstalling the operating system, but I can't find my cord. I called a friend and he said I could borrow his cord tomorrow, but since no one had suggested this as a potential solution, I didn't want to unecessarily hold off posting about my problem.
How do I turn ON the keypad click on a 9900. The Keytone box in Keyboard 'options' is checked! The 'audible roll' in trackpad sensitivity is also checked, but that dont work either.

View 6 Replies View RelatedA few weeks ago the click function of my trackball stopped working. I think it was because I had moisture and dirt on my hand when I picked it up to use it. I have been reluctant to take it apart since I don't have a backup BB and it is still 90% functional without this feature working. Today, I did 3 things. First, I took rubbing alcohol and a q-tip and soaked the trackball. Then I used a piece of a straw, threaded it down between the black piece around the trackball and the chrome bezel, gently pulled up on it and used as much compressed air as possible to blow out the area under the trackball. Then, while the battery was out I pushed on the trackball assembly from behind pretty hard. I repeated this procedure a few times, and it suddenly started working. It was intermittent at first, but is working normally now. For how long I don't know but thought I would share this for others that have the same issue.

I go in to Setup > Email Accounts and tap/click on Internet Mail Account, however it does nothing. I have previously used this feature to add/amend email details. It allows me to click on Enterprise Account, but when I click on Internet Mail Account nothing happens. Have rebooted device a couple of times and get the same problem.

Yesterday, I noticed that suddenly the Send (Green), End (Red), and "A"/* keys and the trackball click all stopped functioning. All other keys operate normally (and the trackball scrolls fine), but this is an exceptionally annoying problem. I can't believe it's hardware related, unless these keys all are somehow linked. That being said, I've tried numerous battery pulls, upgraded & downgraded the OS ( between the AT&T-approved .297 & .304, I believe) - and so far nothing on the software end.
The moisture indicators are white, and it hasn't been any closer to moisture then in my pocket during a rainstorm. This problem came on suddenly; I did, one other time, have issue with only the trackball click about a year ago, but that mischievously disappeared by itself after my brain melted in search of a solution.
I've searched around & seen many others with similar problems - but there are no causes given or solutions told of. I don't really want to take this damn thing apart, but it's running up on that real quick. My AT&T contract is up in a month, and I'm unwilling to spend $100+ dollars on a refurb replacement model via my protection plan so close to renewal.
ANY ideas what's causing this problem? Anyone with ideas, please feel free to respond or BBM me - PIN supplied above.

It'll say I have a new text and I'll go in my inbox to open it but when I click, it won't let me read it. It'll let me open the ones before it, but not the unread one. Even if I click the the menu button then "open" it still doesn't work.

But, I have a question: when browsing sites in the browser, when you hover a link aren't you supposed to be able to just push in the trackball button to 'click' the link? Its not working for me on any sites. I actually have to press the BB menu button and select "Open Link". (e.g on crackberry wallpapers, when i click on a specific genre of wallpapers like "ART", I have to select "open link" instead of just clicking the trackball). It might just be because I am not familiar with all the menu settings yet and this is a buried setting somewhere.
