View 7 RepliesI have recently changed my email address and need to update this on my Bold 9900. I go in to Setup > Email Accounts and tap/click on Internet Mail Account, however it does nothing. I have previously used this feature to add/amend email details. It allows me to click on Enterprise Account, but when I click on Internet Mail Account nothing happens. Have rebooted device a couple of times and get the same problem.
Device Details:
Blackberry 9900
7.1 Bundle 1149 (v7.1.0.342, Platform 5.1.0.276)
I want to click one button and have an open blank text screen. My next step would be to select a contact. Can I go this?
Right now, I click the SMS and MMS app and it takes me to all my most recent messages. Then I click the menu button, then I scroll down to Compose SMS Text.
i just got my BB this morning and was just playing around with the options. i set the trackpad to mute then i didnt like it so i changed it back to click. but now it doesnt have the click sound.am i missing out smth?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Bold 9700. It was purchased at Rogers, but it is currently under Koodo's service. The file free on my phone is 86,607,023 Bytes. The applications installed shown is only "FREE Earth Floats Animated Theme" from Mobstar Media Ltd. I'm not entirely sure what BT device model/version means, but if it's Bluetooth, I've never used that (and it is currently disabled according to my phone); however the previous owner may have used it with Rogers.
Now for the question:
Earlier today I dropped my BlackBerry on the floor and when I picked it up, I sent a text. Soon afterwards, my phone would not respond to pressing in (clicking) the trackpad. My phone still allowed me to scroll upwards, downwards, and to either side; the only thing it would not rspond to is pressing the trackpad.I had an epiphany in which I realized that I could simply hit the enter key to do anything (so far) that clicking in my trackpad will do; however, I still would like to be able to press in my trackpad to select options and such.
I read up some articles and they all said to either:1. Remove the battery for a period of time, or remove the battery/memory card/sim card for a period of time. 2. Press the button in 'hard' and this will 'free it up'.I did both of these, but had no luck.
One thing that I thought might help is reinstalling the operating system, but I can't find my cord. I called a friend and he said I could borrow his cord tomorrow, but since no one had suggested this as a potential solution, I didn't want to unecessarily hold off posting about my problem.
When I click on internet mail account it takes me back to the set up page what shall I do to set it up?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my Blackberry Bold 9700 from AT&T about a month and a half ago, and recently I've been having problems opening texts. It'll say I have a new text and I'll go in my inbox to open it but when I click, it won't let me read it. It'll let me open the ones before it, but not the unread one. Even if I click the the menu button then "open" it still doesn't work.
View 14 Replies View RelatedIf you click on the upper part of your trackpad does it not make a clicking noise and do you feel it click down? mine doesn't , but every where else it does( middle, left and right and bottom). I did the trackpad fix and my trackpad is very solid and even now.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI want to sync with an outlook calender on a notebook. There is an internet connection, but i do not have the password to go online (we have a Token because it is the notebook of the company i am working for). If the Desktop Software tries to get online, it does not find the connection. (Proxy) Is there a possibility to sync with outlook, without going online first. With my last Blackberry 8900 it was possible.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just recently bought a 16gb Micro SD memory card online, but it doesn't work. I put it into my phone and it says to format and I format and everything. After formatting is complete, I connect my phone to my computer so I can sync it with my itunes. The problem occurs as soon as it gets done syncing. After it's done syncing and I disconnect my from computer, the "format memory card" message comes up again. If I say no, none of the music comes to my phone. Then I go to option > memory and then it says memory card is not readable. It has to be formatted because it might be corrupted. If I select yes to format it, all the data that I just synced erases and I'm back to the beginning. This happens every single time I do it.
However, one thing I notice was when I stop the syncing halfway through, the memory card works. But if I let it sync all 600 songs (which is about 5-6 gb out of 16), the memory card fails.can anyone help me? Maybe someone had a problem like this and found a solution. Appreciate all the help I receive. BTW, I'm using the Bold 9700 for tmobile.
How to use internet on bold9700
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been having issues for the last month or so with my 9700. When I get home none of my internet heavy apps or the browser work. Its not every day. Just intermittently. After multiple calls to T-Mo and verification that there were NO issues in my area (a full 3G area) they finally sent me a replacement 9700. I've had it a week and no problems...until today. Same issue. If I put my phone on 2G it seems to work ok if its on 3G/2G it won't connect to the internet at all.Anyone out there know why this could be happening? I had me first 9700 since November with zero internet connectivity issues.
I sold my at&t bold 9700 and bought a t-mobile version, unlocked it and am using it on at&t and I don't have to pay the ridiculous price of 30 per month for internet service on my phone. really I only need the phone for texting, phone calls listening to music and taking some pictures anywayz. Till phone carriers lower their prices. I will never pay 30 a month for smart phone internet again.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI've recently upgraded my phone to the Blackberry 9700 (my first BB so I'm completely clueless) and received it yesterday.I also changed my plan to allow internet access.
I registered my phone and was told to turn it off for 2 hours so they can update the sim and everything, which I did. I then turned it on and I can make calls, send texts and all of that, but when I try to access the internet it says 'This is a Wi-Fi service. Please ensure your device has an active Wi-Fi connection and try again'? I'm taking a guess here, but I think this may be because they haven't updated my plan yet?
Also, I went on the browser whilst connected to Wi-Fi, tried to download the app world and it said something along the lines of 'Sorry your device does not meet the system requirements require'. What's going on?
Anyone know why I can't go on FaceBook or on the internet at all when the wi-fi is on? It connects to my home wi-fi connection but I can't go on the net.It tells me i need the data plan.I thought wi-fi would give me internet on my phone.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen connecting to the internet I click on the second last icon on the main Bold screen (Telstra icon). After approximately 20 seconds, the blue "loading" bar at the bottom of the screen reaches 100% but remains sitting at "loading" with a blank white screen. There is no error message, and remains in this mode until I press the end / hang up key to return to the main screen.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post. I write to you after several weeks of frustration with my phone as well as a million calls with Rogers customer support.
My problem :
1)I cannot browse the internet using the internet browser both on wifi or Roger's data network
2)Facebook app cannot establish a connection to the server
3)When I use the Browser app it will work for like 10 minutes but then all of sudden the internet just stops working.
I believe all of the three observations listed above have the same root cause. What is odd is that BBM works, my email works, BB app world works, I can even browse with the web2go browser - just not the three items I have described above.I really don't want to restore my phone because i have paid apps and i don't want to pay for my apps again.
My failed troubleshooting attempts so far :
1) Removed battery and sim card + reboot. Done it 1,000,000 times - no success
2) Resend service books - no success
I am at ends with the situation.
whenever I try to go on internet my 9700 says not enough memory even my we to go.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI know this might sound weird, but... I realize that I am addicted to the internet and spend too much time on it, and want to purposefully restrict myself by NOT being able to access the internet at all on my Blackberry Bold 9700.I don't have a data plan, but I log onto my landlord's WiFi using the password he gave me. Therefore, I have internet access through WiFi, but I would like to either get rid of that ability altogether, or find a way to password-protect the browsers (the regular browser and Opera).

My browser works.i have tryed reloading os, battery pulls, registering to network, resending service books.i also called t-mobile and they sent me a new phone because none of their people could help me. I am still having the same problems with new phone
Is it me, or BIS service for blackberry 9700 that makes surfing to the internet so slow?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI just got my Bold 9700 a few days ago, so I'm still new to the whole blackberry thing. For whatever reason my phone hasn't been able to connect to the internet all day. The weather eye app just hangs for minutes when selected. The score mobile app just says no data available, connection method BIS. Has this happened to anyone else? Are there some settings I should try changing? Should I call my carrier for help? Is this just some temporary outage?
View 7 Replies View RelatedA bit of a newbie here..Is it possible to use a Bluetooth connection to my laptop in order to utilize the hardwired access internet to my laptop. I am NOT looking to use BB as a modem for my laptop.
I'm currently travelling and it is cheaper to use a local '3' 3G dongle for my laptop rather than my phone. I was wondering what the easiest way to get my blackberry to connect to the internet using my netbooks (win xp) connection? I would like to use BB Messenger for free. There doesn't seem to be a easy way to do it, I've tried Bluetooth and ICS but with no luck.
