BB Bold :: Internet Browsing Not Open In 9700?
Nov 19, 2010Recently my Bold 9700 has been having browser issues! If I try to open a link off a webpage or facebook/twitter, it comes up with "insuffeicent data coverage" or whatever, even though I have full 3G and full Wifi! Also if I try to open a bookmark, or even google, it just sits requesting and then fails to load! I've done many a reboot, deleted wifi router and re added with no luck! Also its affecting the Facebook/Twitter app and won't load new posts.

Jan 29, 2010My current BB works perfectly fine, just that for some reason I cannot open the internet browser. It is 100% connected to the wifi. ( I do not have data plan) But Browser would not open. and leaves a message "your device does not currently have any Browser Configuration Serive Book entries". I've tried going to rogers and fido and all, but they all suggests me to go call them instead. Therefore, I did but I ended up calling different departments, but neither of them could get me to the right department. and I'm sick of being pushed around.

Jul 28, 2010my friend is experiencing severe errors on her bb 9700.
1. She cannot open any Pictures in her Media Folder. She can see the thumb nails but when she tries to open it to view nothing happens. Also when she clicks on the Menu button nothing happens either.
2. She can also play music on her phone but when she clicks the menu button nothing happens as well. therefore she is unable to send or receive music.

4. When She puts on her bb the following error notification is seen: Uncaught exception: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException
Her OS was downgraded to the OS that came with the phone 5.0.0.330 by her Carrier due to some bluetooth issues she was experiencing: that is she was unable to pair. Since the downgrade the issue never arose. We tried to Update her OS yesterday to the latest official release 5.0.0.743 to see if this would help but after we launched apploader it said that they were unable to automatically back up her information and the update was aborted. If there is another way to manually backup the phone can you please let us know?
also if anyone knows any solution to these problems, please respond. Any input would be truly appreciated.

Jun 2, 2011when I click on the browser icon, the browser won't open and take me to the internet. All my other apps work, Facebook, Twitter, TSN, etc.
When I pull the battery, re-install, and re-boot the icon will work and I will be able to access the internet exactly one time! The second time following a battery removal re-boot when I try to access the internet via pushing the icon, it doesn't work.

Nov 20, 2011I'm using bold 9700 Orange. I've been clicking on the bbm icon for the past three days now it doesn't open. I even tried the reboot solution for like 10 times it didn't work. I removed the battery for 1 hour the problem still persist. It shows on my home screen when I have pings but I can't read. Other applications are working well.

Jul 21, 2010For the past week or so, my texts messages get stuck. What I mean..If I'm texting a friend and we are going back and forth, all of a sudden, the text msg wont open. Sep 8, 2010Posted this in various places and have yet to receive an answer. Just got first BlackBerry, tried to view my homepage which is a myyahoo page. When I get to the SIGN IN screen, I can sometime type in the username, but it NEVER allows me to type in the PW, thus I cannot open the page.
The arrow cursor never changes to one that will allow to type in information. I called Verizon, I visited the Store, I posted on BlackBerry forums. No one at Verizon store (4) could get it to work, no responses on the forum. Is it a browser (either BB or Yahoo) problem and does anyone know of a way around it of it the new (so I hear) BB browser will fix this problem. I really want to like this phone, but if I am barred from viewing my homepage, it is going to be hard to do.

Apr 27, 2010my wife just set up her email by calling Tmobile 611 she does the 2 minute battery pull and starts back up and now she gets a java error and can not open her internet browser. I am at work and since we only have bb for phones she can not call back 611 to help her with her phone. Anyone have any suggestions?

Apr 15, 2010I just got a 9700 this past week and noticed something that is a little odd. I have two email accounts set up on my BB, one is gmail while the other is my university email.
My emails seem to be reconciling fine when I look in the address-specific folder (eg, go to blackberry main menu and then the mailboxes with the little globe at the bottom). However, if I open the Messages (one that has BBM stuff, both emails, etc) app, all my emails are still there! Is this normal?
Also, I don't seem to be receiving any emails from facebook on my BB. I get them if I open my email normally on my mac, but they're not being delivered to my BB. I do have the Facebook app installed... is this the cause? I get notifications fine for facebook, just not the emails.

Jun 22, 2010My Bold 9700 somehow refused to open email thread/conversation (means more than one email) with '{' character in the subject. Nothing happens when I click the thread. The phone itself doesn't freeze, i still can do other things.Anyone experienced this bug before?
FYI I use OS 5.0.0.656.
Battery pull (and I mean physical battery pull) didn't help.
