View 2 Replies View RelatedI took delivery today and I can't open the battery cover.
View 12 Replies View RelatedMy phone is freezing and behaving oddly and my son suggested I took out the battery and put it back. .....Just that I can't even get the back open!
View 1 Replies View RelatedOk, before you trolls all rabidly defend RIM and jump on me with fingers pointed, yes I dropped the phone and it's all my fault, I didn't stick the phone in a vault until my protective case arrived, etc. etc. there I said it, now you don't have to. Last night around 9pm, I picked up a gorgeous blackberry bold 9700 from walmart for cheap money, an upgrade. 13 hours later, I dropped it, tried to catch it with my foot, and like skipping a rock across a pond, kicked it across my client's driveway full of sharp rocks, face down. Awesome. So now I have these scratches in my screen. Superficial maybe, but even though the LCD itself is perfectly fine (all my pixels are in good order), I have to spend $130+shipping to buy a new LCD unit, just because there's no separate screen cover anymore? That's what it seems like after checking the parts sites.
I noticed right away that the screen on the 9700 is right up front instead of set back behind an extra piece of plastic. I can press pretty hard on my curve 8310's screen without getting funky colors out of the LCD (I think I'd break the screen cover before the LCD would even flinch), but the 9700's screen is very sensitive to pressure.I don't know why RIM would brilliantly cover up their LCD units with hard, replaceable screen covers for years, one of the nicest features of their rugged phones, I thought, then go and do this to me. Yes, you heard right, it's all about me.Any comments? Suggestions? Tell me I'm wrong and show me how I CAN replace the screen cover without replacing the LCD unit? After scouring parts sites, doesn't look like I can.
How can I order a new battery cover for the BB bold 9900?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt's been a LONG time since I've posted here, although I've been on HoFo and RFD a lot more. I just got my Bell Blackberry Bold 9700 and I'm so excited.
Gonna upgrade from a curve 8330. I used a clear plastic cover for my 8330 to preserve it, is there a cheap one available for the 9700, is it recommended because of the rubber/leather style rear cover?
I cracked the glass LCD lens cover on my 9700 bold and i need to know where i can get the replacement part or get it repaired, everywhere i look they have lens covers for all berrys BUT the 9700...
View 6 Replies View Relatedall does anyone know of a rubber insert or cover that can be used or exists for the 9700?
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I have finally gotten my parts from sw-box and I was excited (matte black bezel + top cover + new keypad). The bezel is decent quality. It fits nice but...... it was fragile and I managed to break a tab for some reason? It is now stuck in my phones midplate which I will later remove by taking EVERYTHING out! I've taken out my stock silver bezel so many times the tabs have never broken so I know I wasn't doing anything wrong.
The only problem I didnt have was the battery cover it fits nice and snug, has a nice weight and the BMW etching on it is nice. The top cover... I have compared the stock cover and the sw-box cover and I noticed that the sw-box cover was shorter AND harder than the stock cover. This resulted in a gap on the top part of the phone and EXTREMELY hard force required to press the lock button and mute key.
The keyboard... well it definitely is NOT a oem! i even ordered the "OEM" or any modeled keyboard like on cnn.cn the buttons are bad, lighting is uneven I will be ordering from CNN.cn next to see how everything is there.. I have ordered many parts for my 9630 there and had no problems for anything what so ever
I just purchased an Unbranded bottom cover and it doesn't fit.
Here's a comparison:
The Top one is the one I received and the bottom one is the stock one, Has anyone else have this issue? It looks like the one I got is a full mold. Any recommendation for solutions? Apart from sending it back, I'm in Canada and seller is in Hong Kong.

How do you replace the top cover on the blackberry bold 9700 without removing the entire casing? I've found utube vids on removing the bottom cover but not for the top.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got my Lumia 800 (yay!) but I think I may have messed things up already. When I inserted the sim card slot back into the phone the USB cover was already closed. Now the sim card slot is almost entirely inserted, except for the very end of it which is sticking out slightly (but not even enough to slide a fingernail under it). The USB cover won't open at all.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've used all my force to push, but it simply wont give in. It's solid. I push in, and trying to slide it out.

View 14 Replies View Relatedmy friend is experiencing severe errors on her bb 9700.
1. She cannot open any Pictures in her Media Folder. She can see the thumb nails but when she tries to open it to view nothing happens. Also when she clicks on the Menu button nothing happens either.
2. She can also play music on her phone but when she clicks the menu button nothing happens as well. therefore she is unable to send or receive music.
3. Also when she tries to change her BBM Picture she is unable to
4. When She puts on her bb the following error notification is seen: Uncaught exception: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException
Her OS was downgraded to the OS that came with the phone 5.0.0.330 by her Carrier due to some bluetooth issues she was experiencing: that is she was unable to pair. Since the downgrade the issue never arose. We tried to Update her OS yesterday to the latest official release 5.0.0.743 to see if this would help but after we launched apploader it said that they were unable to automatically back up her information and the update was aborted. If there is another way to manually backup the phone can you please let us know?
also if anyone knows any solution to these problems, please respond. Any input would be truly appreciated.
From a newbie. I can open xls and doc if I download to the cellphone but not if they are emailed to me. pdf will not open either way. Message says I do not have the app to open it. Help plse!:
View 4 Replies View Relatedwhen I click on the browser icon, the browser won't open and take me to the internet. All my other apps work, Facebook, Twitter, TSN, etc.
When I pull the battery, re-install, and re-boot the icon will work and I will be able to access the internet exactly one time! The second time following a battery removal re-boot when I try to access the internet via pushing the icon, it doesn't work.
Recently my Bold 9700 has been having browser issues! If I try to open a link off a webpage or facebook/twitter, it comes up with "insuffeicent data coverage" or whatever, even though I have full 3G and full Wifi! Also if I try to open a bookmark, or even google, it just sits requesting and then fails to load! I've done many a reboot, deleted wifi router and re added with no luck! Also its affecting the Facebook/Twitter app and won't load new posts.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using bold 9700 Orange. I've been clicking on the bbm icon for the past three days now it doesn't open. I even tried the reboot solution for like 10 times it didn't work. I removed the battery for 1 hour the problem still persist. It shows on my home screen when I have pings but I can't read. Other applications are working well.
