From a newbie. I can open xls and doc if I download to the cellphone but not if they are emailed to me. pdf will not open either way. Message says I do not have the app to open it. Help plse!:

I am at work and since we only have bb for phones she can not call back 611 to help her with her phone. Anyone have any suggestions?

View 5 Replies View Relatedi got a blackberry bold 9700 for christmas and i've been having only one problem with the phone. Sometimes when I've been having a conversation, through sms text messages, with someone I will be randomly unable to open a newly received sms text message and cannot open it for a while. I got it checked and they gave me a new phone, and this one is doing the same thing. Sometimes i can't open it for 10 mins and then sometimes i have to delete it because it's been over 2 hours. this is getting really annoying and more and more frequent. does anyone know what i should do? cause the bell people dont even know.

I have tried emailing myself pictures from my camera to save on my laptop, and there is just no attachment on Outlook! I have logged into my gmail on web browser too, and still no attachment.
Does anyone know how to resolve this, i have tried selecting the size as "small" when prompted to see if that makes a difference.
I recently set up a new email address, i cant remember ever having problems before doing this.
Is it possible to limit the size of attachments that come to my phone? I regularly receive ones larger than 2 mb but don't want or need them on my phone.

I've looked thru all the phone settings, but haven't found the right one yet.
When I receive an email in Mail on my iPhone 4S with an ICS attachment, it offers to open it in Calendar but when I choose Calendar, the Calendar app does open but the appointment/event does not appear anywhere. The ICS file did originate from Outlook 2010 connected to Exchange but not sure that should make a difference. iPhone is current with published updates.

I have my iphone connected to my exchange server and everytime I try to open an attachment the mail app crashes.I also noticed that if I try to do the automatic scroll to the top my tapping the date in the mail app that doesnt work either.Just trying to see if anybody else is having the same issue and if there is a fix.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis used to work on my Droid and Droid 2. I receive an HTML email, which appears as 3 attachments, 2 text and one HTML. If I click on either of the TXT attachments I'm offered the choice of HTML Viewer or QuickOffice to view them. However when I click on the HTML attachment (the actual mail body) it goes straight to the browser, which tries to opencontent://com.motorola.blur.service.email.engine.EmailProvider/bodyparts/file/3/329_5.attand drops me into a google search browser window "did not match any documents". IOW it cannot find that file/location.
It's as if the email tool is creating an address (storage location) for the attachment that the browser doesn't recognize; or that it is creating one but passing a different handle to the HTML reader. Over a variety of emails the pattern is .../file/x/yyy_5.att.sing "Files" I can't find anything that looks like these attachment files, apparently it is below user visibility. can save the attachment into Messages then view it with the HTML Viewer; but I don't want to do that a dozen times a day.
I cannot receive any MMS messages when I am roaming. I received a text with a picture attachment and I could not download the attachment because it came up with an error that said I had no data connectivity. The 3g data symbol was up and blue in color and worked because I was able to text via data roaming.I can send and receive calls and text messages while roaming, just could not get the MMS picture. I had everything checked correctly, data roam and call roam were both checked. The only way I could get it was to get to an area where I had sprint service to download. Is this a known problem? Where I work deep in the building I am usually roaming.

View 14 Replies View Relatedmy friend is experiencing severe errors on her bb 9700.
1. She cannot open any Pictures in her Media Folder. She can see the thumb nails but when she tries to open it to view nothing happens. Also when she clicks on the Menu button nothing happens either.
2. She can also play music on her phone but when she clicks the menu button nothing happens as well. therefore she is unable to send or receive music.

4. When She puts on her bb the following error notification is seen: Uncaught exception: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException
Her OS was downgraded to the OS that came with the phone 5.0.0.330 by her Carrier due to some bluetooth issues she was experiencing: that is she was unable to pair. Since the downgrade the issue never arose. We tried to Update her OS yesterday to the latest official release 5.0.0.743 to see if this would help but after we launched apploader it said that they were unable to automatically back up her information and the update was aborted. If there is another way to manually backup the phone can you please let us know?

when I click on the browser icon, the browser won't open and take me to the internet. All my other apps work, Facebook, Twitter, TSN, etc.
When I pull the battery, re-install, and re-boot the icon will work and I will be able to access the internet exactly one time! The second time following a battery removal re-boot when I try to access the internet via pushing the icon, it doesn't work.
Recently my Bold 9700 has been having browser issues! If I try to open a link off a webpage or facebook/twitter, it comes up with "insuffeicent data coverage" or whatever, even though I have full 3G and full Wifi! Also if I try to open a bookmark, or even google, it just sits requesting and then fails to load! I've done many a reboot, deleted wifi router and re added with no luck! Also its affecting the Facebook/Twitter app and won't load new posts.

I even tried the reboot solution for like 10 times it didn't work. I removed the battery for 1 hour the problem still persist. It shows on my home screen when I have pings but I can't read. Other applications are working well.
