Like some others I accidently hit the "open with" Always instead of Just Once. I can't locate the setting to undo this. There are some instructions on the web, but I can't find a thread that addresses this on Android 5.1 for an LG G4 phone.
I've looked thru all the phone settings, but haven't found the right one yet.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen composing a gmail, when I go to attach a file I'm given a choice between a Drive document or a file from the phone... when I choose to attach a file from the phone, it brings up my music app file manager (not the normal file manager) and will just let me choose music.
I haven't set the Music app as the default for anything (I've checked).
This is, as I said, a minor issue as I can either a) share a file into gmail, or b) upload a file to Drive and then attach the Drive file.
I have strange issue on my nexus 6P when I am using CamScanner app ...
CamScanner does not add an attachment , when I am trying to send it via gmail (it says "you cannot send empty letter" something like this) ...
I got the X10 one week ago from AT&T. I was amazed that I couldn't install software other than from the Android Market; what the deal? Nevertheless, I used the Android Sideload Wonder Machine (after many pain staking days of trying to load the JDK & SDK) I finally loaded my surveillance system software and it works. However, the surveillance system also sends emails to my Google account whenever it sense motion in the room. When I access the email, the JPG file is attached, but I can't view it inline. I can only download it to view the picture. Given the email and the JPG attachment are related to security issues, I need a fast way of viewing the JPG file without having to download or use the browser. Both are time consuming efforts
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I receive an email in Mail on my iPhone 4S with an ICS attachment, it offers to open it in Calendar but when I choose Calendar, the Calendar app does open but the appointment/event does not appear anywhere. The ICS file did originate from Outlook 2010 connected to Exchange but not sure that should make a difference. iPhone is current with published updates.

This happens on my RAZR M as well. Take a picture, from the gallery select it and "share" via GMail - it just sits there saying "sending" - never goes out. I've force-stopped the app, toggle airplane mode, and rebooted the phone. Sometimes it just starts working, other times not.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis used to work on my Droid and Droid 2. I receive an HTML email, which appears as 3 attachments, 2 text and one HTML. If I click on either of the TXT attachments I'm offered the choice of HTML Viewer or QuickOffice to view them. However when I click on the HTML attachment (the actual mail body) it goes straight to the browser, which tries to opencontent://com.motorola.blur.service.email.engine.EmailProvider/bodyparts/file/3/329_5.attand drops me into a google search browser window "did not match any documents". IOW it cannot find that file/location.
It's as if the email tool is creating an address (storage location) for the attachment that the browser doesn't recognize; or that it is creating one but passing a different handle to the HTML reader. Over a variety of emails the pattern is .../file/x/yyy_5.att.sing "Files" I can't find anything that looks like these attachment files, apparently it is below user visibility. can save the attachment into Messages then view it with the HTML Viewer; but I don't want to do that a dozen times a day.
I cannot receive any MMS messages when I am roaming. I received a text with a picture attachment and I could not download the attachment because it came up with an error that said I had no data connectivity. The 3g data symbol was up and blue in color and worked because I was able to text via data roaming.I can send and receive calls and text messages while roaming, just could not get the MMS picture. I had everything checked correctly, data roam and call roam were both checked. The only way I could get it was to get to an area where I had sprint service to download. Is this a known problem? Where I work deep in the building I am usually roaming.

This happen vice versa - when I open the emails on my notebook, it would not show on my HTC. How can I reverse this? I believe that it just stopped syncing last week and I believe that it was following a Motorola update, but cannot say for sure. Under Data Delivery, both Background Data and Data enabled are checked green. However, this is interesting because Email and corporate sync is grayed out on that screen. When I go to Account, checking the sync options is not possible, but I can do a manual sync. Please note, at one time, these options to sync Contacts, Gmail and Calendar were available. I've pulled the batter. I really do not want to reset to factory default. Suggestions? (Please note this is a company Gmail account, not just regular Gmail.)

I don't know if my thread title makes sense but basically what I would like to know is what are the advantages of downloading the Gmail app vs just setting up a Gmail account through my BIS (Email Settings/Add Account)? My main objective here is wireless contacts sync. I have read a lot of negative feedback regarding Gmail on a BlackBerry but I will not really even be using this for email all to often, although I will from time to time.
What I have done is just added my new Gmail account through the native BlackBerry email setup and then downloaded Google Sync. I downloaded the Gmail app but I didn't really like the UI and I like to have all 3 of my email accounts go into the same folder.
When I get an email I like how the blackberry automatically opens up the email application if I pull it out of the holster.The only problem is that it pulls up the Messages inbox and not my gmail account inbox.Any way to fix this or do anything about it? I have the gmail enhanced plugin if that makes a difference.Also on a totally unrelated note is there a way to search the gmail server from the gmail plugin app?

I ask, because I have multiple email accounts on my phone, gmail, hotmail, etc.. gmail is on the native gmail app, which is currently pushing... but the others are in the HTC Mail app.

When I try to email any pictures, I get a message that "the total attachment size exceeds the maximum allowed size." This is happening even though the estimated size is only 83.8KB. Can anyone give me any ideas about what I'm doing wrong? I'm on Verizon, by the way.
