I keep getting a red x everytime someone sends me a picture. Sometimes it says "Text attachment missing or invalid".
I used to get the pictures just fine from these folks.
I've got an 8900 curve on the T-mobile network.
I cannot receive any MMS messages when I am roaming. I received a text with a picture attachment and I could not download the attachment because it came up with an error that said I had no data connectivity. The 3g data symbol was up and blue in color and worked because I was able to text via data roaming.I can send and receive calls and text messages while roaming, just could not get the MMS picture. I had everything checked correctly, data roam and call roam were both checked. The only way I could get it was to get to an area where I had sprint service to download. Is this a known problem? Where I work deep in the building I am usually roaming.
View 12 Replies View RelatedAfter uptading my BB 9300 Curve from os 5 to os 6 (6.0.0.570) I can not resize picture when trying to send it as MMS attachment. (i see only information that the limit of the maximum picture size is exceeded). Resizing works only when I want to attach file to e-mail message (I see dialog where I can choose picture size / resulotion). Before update (in os5 ) i had this resizing dialog for both: MMS and e-mail.Is there any possibility to fix this problem and enable this dialog when attaching pictures to MMS? The dialog with resizing options still does not work but it scales the pictures automatically to be send via MMS.me.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAs per my other thread: What happened to my 8900 camera quality? upgraded from OS 4.6 to 5.0.0.681 i've discovered what the problem is with why I am not getting the same quality photos as on the OS 4.6 on my 8900 curve, it's the picture size in kb. on 4.6 i would at the very least always get photos of size 460kb minimum (usually i get 700kb +) whereas on 5.0.0.681 now i get on average only 180kb WHY? bear in mind i've kept all the settings on the highest possible i.e. superfine and picture on 'large' yet for some reason i'm only getting low quality pics.. it's very frustrating.I have a feeling the lighting makes a difference but also maybe the memory/space on the media card. BUT I have 120mb of memory left and 400mb of space on my media card.What makes the blackberry take pictures at lower quality in terms of size in kb and larger?so far i've managed to get 1 photo at 460kb on OS 5.0.0.681 but i dont know how or why exactly but at least i know it's capable of getting pics that large. Do I need over 500mb of media card space for it to take larger size pics?

I always took the back of the phone off too so that it wasn't coming through 2 little holes through the top. Is the sound quality and volume of the 8900 equal to or greater than the 8300 with its batter door off?

View 5 Replies View Relatedhi. had 8900 for few months on orange uk with data plan. have been using email, internet and windows live and blackberry messenger all fine using either wi fi or mobile now all of a sudden its stop working and i cant use none. when i try to connect to internet i get a msg say this is a wi fi service please ensure your device has a wi fi connection , bb messenger wont send mgs or receive windows live jus says this service is not enabled for this handheld. ive contacted orange but they havnt helped they did say it could be a update of facebook causing problem?. have tried removing battery and restoring removed service books etc nothings fixed. can anyone help plz?

However whenever I check for updates via the blackberry site the desktop manger pops up and does not offer this upgrade. All it says it 4.6.1 (current) and the rest are downgrades, so I'm not quite sure what I need to do to get the new OS to even appear, much less download it and work.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy phone is a curve 8900.......Okay, so yesterday around noon, my bbm starts freezin up in between chats, so I took the phone off and then turned it back on a few times. Seemed to be working fine, though I didnt use bbm again for the rest of the day, that on/off was frustrating enough.....I went to bed last night and had at least one bar of charge. When I woke up this morning the phone is off. Strange....because sometimes I go to bed with the battery on red and it lasts thru the nite. Okay, so I proceed to press the end call button to turn on the phone....nothing... Next move, remove and replace battery and sim card....still nothing...next step......put the phone to charge.... its been charging for two hours now and still nothing...... the red light to the top left of the phone is on & thats it... the phone still is nt coming on..!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI buyed sony ericsson xperia mini pro few months back. at that time i synced my contacts with facebook with facebook app. And i got all my friend's profile pictures as my contact pictures. But now when i changed my memory card i also formated my phone. I took backup of contacts on sim card. after installing new memory card i imported my contacts back to phone and synced facebook once again with my phone contacts. This time they got synced too but their facebook profile pics are not becoming my contact pictures. I also tried enabling facebook inside xperia but still it didn't worked. I want to get them done as quickly as possible.
