Every time I take a picture with my Blackberry, it says, "file not found" and won't save to my phone. I've tried going into properties and running an error check when plugged into my computer, pulled the battery, and nothing works. Anyone know how to fix this?

Basically my Blackberry 8900 doesn't detect a SIM card even when there is a SIM Card in there. When it switches on it says "SIM card not found".When I go to Options -> Advanced Options -> SIM Card it says there is "No valid sim card". What is wrong? Also, the phone is 15 months old and I am on Orange UK. There should be a 2 year warranty on all electrical devices. Are Orange obliged to fix it or do I have to go direct to RIM?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've seen various versions of this question but haven't found an answer yet. I just bought a second hand 8900 to replace my damaged one. The problem is the device doesn't seem to be able to recognize my media card. In the options > memory it says "a media card is not presently inserted in the device". The card works fine in the old device and in a completely different type of phone from a friend. Their card is also not recognized by my device, so I've ruled out the card as the problem. I've tried all the usual fixes - battery pull, software update, etc but with no success. Is this phone just defective or am I missing something?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAs per my other thread: What happened to my 8900 camera quality? upgraded from OS 4.6 to 5.0.0.681 i've discovered what the problem is with why I am not getting the same quality photos as on the OS 4.6 on my 8900 curve, it's the picture size in kb. on 4.6 i would at the very least always get photos of size 460kb minimum (usually i get 700kb +) whereas on 5.0.0.681 now i get on average only 180kb WHY? bear in mind i've kept all the settings on the highest possible i.e. superfine and picture on 'large' yet for some reason i'm only getting low quality pics.. it's very frustrating.I have a feeling the lighting makes a difference but also maybe the memory/space on the media card. BUT I have 120mb of memory left and 400mb of space on my media card.What makes the blackberry take pictures at lower quality in terms of size in kb and larger?so far i've managed to get 1 photo at 460kb on OS 5.0.0.681 but i dont know how or why exactly but at least i know it's capable of getting pics that large. Do I need over 500mb of media card space for it to take larger size pics?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've downloaded the trial version of Beejive and want to install it. I am using OS 4.6.1.231 and am using the latest Blackberry Desktop program (v5.0.1). The instructions to install Beejive say to connect my BB to my comp and choose the application loader to add Beejive. I then "Browse" to the alx file and click on it.Fine. I do all that and then click on "next." I then see that I will I be reinstalling all the programs that have check marks by them. I decide I just want to install Beejive only so I go back and untick the apps I want to leave alone but there is only "remove" or "install" and that unticking one would result in its removal. Is installing Beejive through BB Desktop the only way to get it to work? Is there no way to go to get a jad file and download that for an automated install?

1) Battery Pull
2) Memory Cleaning
3) Cleaning Cache
4) Delete Event Log
5) Delete Call Log
6) Delete un-necessary messages
7) Delete unwanted applications (games etc)
8) Ensure that only 5 default applications are running in the background
What I would like everyone is to share if there are any other ways to free up further memory in order to make the phone more faster.
I upgraded from a MotoRazr2 V8 to a BlackBerry 8900 Curve so I wanted to transfer my data from the Moto to the BB. Well, I learned that Moto doesn't play nicely with Mac so my MacBook Pro was not much of a help. I had better luck with my HP running XP and managed to get the contacts switched without too much trouble.
The SMS records are another matter. I couldn't find a way to transfer them using BB Desktop Manager so I made a text file copy of them into a Windows folder I created. Two actually - one for inbox and one for sent items. Now I can't find a way to load those text files onto the Curve. I've tried every way I could think of using Desktop Manager but no dice. I would love a solution that does not require buying more software.
Does anyone know how to delete a picture from curve 8520 when it keeps saying "file currently in use"? I rebooted my blackberry and tried deleting it again and it still says the same thing.

I recently upgraded the bbm version to 6.0.Earlier whenever i used to send the picture file of large size (about 1-2 mb), bbm used to give an option to select the resolution & size of the file to be sent.But after the upgrade it automatically compresses the file (for eg from 2.5 mb file to 60kb) & sends it across.how can i get the option of resolutions & size before sending the picture file.

(some for the better but some worse !)anyways to the point. I realized that my picture count has been resetted to IMG00001-xxxxx. View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a new iphone 3gs. Just got it yesterday. I hooked it up to Itunes and it connected. But gave me some errors that it couldn't sync due to required file not found. I unplugged the iphone and restarted the PC. Plugged it back in and then it gave an error. It cannot read the contents of the iphone go to the summary page and do a restore. I did a full restore and put it back to factory settings. Plugged it in and Itunes saw it but again would not sync due to file not found or other errors. Unplugged it and back in and now it again says it cannot read the contents of the iphone and I need to do a restore. I tried 2 other computers it says the same thing.

I have recently come across an annoying problem though: When the phone has been turned on for some time (30-60 minutes) the camera starts to lag after taking a picture. The duration of this lag can be up to 40 seconds, and it is pretty annoying that I have to wait for that long between shots. If I turn the phone off and then on again the problem goes away for a short period and then returns.
