BB Curve 8900 :: Get Jad File Download For Automated Install?
Jul 3, 2010
I've downloaded the trial version of Beejive and want to install it. I am using OS 4.6.1.231 and am using the latest Blackberry Desktop program (v5.0.1). The instructions to install Beejive say to connect my BB to my comp and choose the application loader to add Beejive. I then "Browse" to the alx file and click on it.Fine. I do all that and then click on "next." I then see that I will I be reinstalling all the programs that have check marks by them. I decide I just want to install Beejive only so I go back and untick the apps I want to leave alone but there is only "remove" or "install" and that unticking one would result in its removal. Is installing Beejive through BB Desktop the only way to get it to work? Is there no way to go to get a jad file and download that for an automated install?
I have blackberry curve 8900.When I purchased it , there is OS 4.6 in it.I have updated its OS to OS 5.0. Before updating its os I can successfully able to download .JAD file but after updating its os I could not able to download .JAD file.
I've had the X6 16GB for a couple of weeks now and whenever i try to download anything onto it or install it through my pc i get the error message "File corrupted". This happen with the pc suite update, ovi, skype and more. Can anyone help at all? I'd really appreciate any advice at all!
Is there anyway I can install the OS 5.0 software for my BlackBerry 8900. Is it reliable or advisable to install it onto my phone. Is it official from BlackBerry itself and where would I find the download link.I work on a MAC as well so my Desktop Manager is OSX verision.
Every time I take a picture with my Blackberry, it says, "file not found" and won't save to my phone. I've tried going into properties and running an error check when plugged into my computer, pulled the battery, and nothing works. Anyone know how to fix this?
I upgraded from a MotoRazr2 V8 to a BlackBerry 8900 Curve so I wanted to transfer my data from the Moto to the BB. Well, I learned that Moto doesn't play nicely with Mac so my MacBook Pro was not much of a help. I had better luck with my HP running XP and managed to get the contacts switched without too much trouble.
The SMS records are another matter. I couldn't find a way to transfer them using BB Desktop Manager so I made a text file copy of them into a Windows folder I created. Two actually - one for inbox and one for sent items. Now I can't find a way to load those text files onto the Curve. I've tried every way I could think of using Desktop Manager but no dice. I would love a solution that does not require buying more software.
Ever since I downloaded something like "Blackberry OS version 5" from the web, and updated my device using the desktop manager, I have been unable to download new apps.Somehow I managed to get BBM back on -- the phone would have been useless otherwise -- but no more apps will get downloaded.Everything seems to work, whether I download via the web, or use desktop manager to install the apps, there are no errors and it says it worked -- but there is no icon for the app in any of the folders. For example, BB App world: The desktop manager says it is installed, but it's not accessible because there is no icon anywhere. My carrier say they can't help me any further as it's a device issue.I have got "show all" on, so the icons are definitely not hidden.I have tried a battery pull dozens of times.I have tried a backup using desktop manager, then factory reset the device, then restored -- several times.I have tried uninstalling the apps through desktop manager and installing them again.I don't understand what settings are supposed to be changed after I do a factory reset and restore from backup.
Carrier: Orange Device: 8900 Platform: 4.3.0.23 App Version: 5.0.0.90 (91) File Free: 113507146 Is it possible version 5 doesn't work with Orange at all? Following the link to "Orange UK" on this page, I can see Orange does list v5 for download: URL...
I tried to reinstall OS on my curve 8900. At the stage of " reconnecting to JVM" an error message occurs stating "application loader Unable to connect to your device" I had tried all the options like Jl_cmder ..but still nothing happens. My mobile is dead and is not responding to any instruction.
I'm writing from Austria, Europe. I just got my BlackBerry Curve 8900 few days ago, everything's fine, I like it a lot. I've got just a problem with the desktop manager software. I installed it through the CD delivered with my BlackBerry and got the newest version of the software through the internet as well. But somehow, when I open the Media Manager Section, I got a button to install the Media Manager, and when I click on it, it doesn't work. I tried it several times already, but I alsways get a notification, that there's a problem and I have to put the user tools CD or try it when I'm connected to the internet. I put the CD and I'm also always connected to the internet, but it doesn't work. So I can't put any media files into my BlackBerry.
I've had my BB 8900 for 1 week and I'm already thinking it is the single worst thing I've ever purchased.I've got the problem whereby I cannot download apps from BBAW (18 icon and skysports - one paid for, the other free). I've tried every fix found on forums and from google'ing the problem. What works for some is not working for me. I'm getting the error "There was a problem during installation. try again" Then:Blackberry App World is having trouble connecting to the Blackberry App World server. Verify your network connections and try again." BBAW then closes and nada.I've tried updating my BB, changing me BB id, paypal logon, resetting the BBAW using the ALT RST thingy, tried wireless on, wireless off, turning all connections off, restarting the device, hard reset, soft reset, logging out of BBAW, closing the app etc. Tried all the KB's found online and un/reinstallign BBAW. I've googled this for the last 3 days, constantly. Is there anything else I can try before I smash what started to be a great phone into pieces on the back of the useless BBAW.

I have had my blackberry curve 8900 for about 4 months now and I still can not download the app world for it. I have tried and tried and keep getting the same message half way through the download saying "Download Failed. 907 Invalid COD". I contacted my service provider who said they had sorted and I was to turn my phone off for an hour and switch it back on and I should be able to download it. I done this and 3 hours later I am still getting the same message. I have even tried removing the battery and sim card but this does not work either.
why the screen info has changed when writing an SMS message. Not done a download off the computer for many months, went to change some music, it says new download to the phone is needed. Did the download, BUT!!! it deleted all my e-mails! then I found that when I went to do a text message, the screen now displays an old previous message over most of the screen with just one line left on the bottom to write in, it also has the stupid smiley face icon at the end of the line which I hate. How do I get my original full screen text page back?

I've got a Blackberry Curve, 8330 (v4.5.0.191) (Platform 3.4.0.62), currently have Facebook 1.9.0.28 installed, running fine. I've gotten a notification saying Facebook 2.0 is available, but I cannot download it for some reason. I go to the "Options" setting within Facebook, "Check for Upgrade," get a notification saying there's one available, etc. Click the "Yes" button to perform the update, which opens the BlackBerry Browser. The page ends up being blank. The page address is url...
Have tried various emulation modes with the BlackBerry browser, as well as trying to get -somewhere- using Opera, which is also installed on my phone with no avail. I have no cord to sync my phone to my computer and do it that way, as I moved and a few things were misplaced.I've gone through the Blackberry App World, although it shows that the newest version is 1.9.0.28, even though I know there was a recent release. My phone is entirely up to date, as far as OS and everything else goes.Is there a place I could download the .jar/.jad file directly?
I just got my 8900 and it came from a company. Therefore the BES is installed instead of BIS. I am using my BB for personal usage so, how can I install BIS on it
I had an 8310 and just bought an 8900 brand new off of eBay. I used the 8310's speakerphone A LOT for listening to music and loved it! I always took the back of the phone off too so that it wasn't coming through 2 little holes through the top. Is the sound quality and volume of the 8900 equal to or greater than the 8300 with its batter door off?
