BB Curve :: Is There A Place Could Download .jar / .jad File Directly

I've got a Blackberry Curve, 8330 (v4.5.0.191) (Platform 3.4.0.62), currently have Facebook 1.9.0.28 installed, running fine. I've gotten a notification saying Facebook 2.0 is available, but I cannot download it for some reason. I go to the "Options" setting within Facebook, "Check for Upgrade," get a notification saying there's one available, etc. Click the "Yes" button to perform the update, which opens the BlackBerry Browser. Have tried various emulation modes with the BlackBerry browser, as well as trying to get -somewhere- using Opera, which is also installed on my phone with no avail. I have no cord to sync my phone to my computer and do it that way, as I moved and a few things were misplaced.I've gone through the Blackberry App World, although it shows that the newest version is 1.9.0.28, even though I know there was a recent release. My phone is entirely up to date, as far as OS and everything else goes.Is there a place I could download the .jar/.jad file directly?

Is there any way to place an icon on the homescreen which opens directly to a webpage. For example, I don't use the Facebook application due to preferring the mobile web based version but would like to open directly from the homepage if possible without opening the browser and selecting the bookmark.

I have OS 6 on a blackberry curve 9300. I am wondering if there is any way to download pictures from my newsfeed without having to go to the mobile site through my browser. I would also like to know if there is an easier way to update my profile picture than to upload it, go to it and choose it. I've downloaded the trial version of Beejive and want to install it. I am using OS 4.6.1.231 and am using the latest Blackberry Desktop program (v5.0.1). The instructions to install Beejive say to connect my BB to my comp and choose the application loader to add Beejive. I then "Browse" to the alx file and click on it.Fine. I do all that and then click on "next." I then see that I will I be reinstalling all the programs that have check marks by them. I decide I just want to install Beejive only so I go back and untick the apps I want to leave alone but there is only "remove" or "install" and that unticking one would result in its removal. Is installing Beejive through BB Desktop the only way to get it to work? Is there no way to go to get a jad file and download that for an automated install?

When you click on a contact and press send (the phone number is in the contact with area code), it rings once and says that the call cannot take place and it is an incorrect number. When you hand-dial the same exact phone number and press send, it goes through.

I've searched and couldn't come up with what I needed. It may be there but it's hidden in the deepest corners of the forum. I'm fairly new to blackberry use in general but had a quick question.Does anybody know of a way to connect a usb device (thumb drive, card reader, so on) to their bb for use out and about.
The reason I ask is because I am a newspaper photographer and thought it would be great in deadline situations where I'm away from the office to have the ability to download photos from my camera's memory card onto my BB and send them to our photo desk for processing.I understand the simplest solution would probably to shoot photos using a micro SD card adapter in my camera then putting the microSD into my BB, but I probably could have driven to work in the time it takes my BB to come back on after pulling the battery.

I have seen replies, that sa go to profiles and adavnced options and phone, dont seem to have any of those.The bb is abput 2 years old, so not a newer version, under phone settings there is no advanced, and i can't find where this do not disturb feature is to turn it off, not that I turned it on in the first place!
