Any solution for the erratic BB Curve 9300 cursor which jumps all over the place when trying to type messages? I've had to make countless attempts to put in my password to unlock my phone which is password protected simply because the cursor won't stay put.

I have a blackberry curve 9300 and the cursor does not work at all when I use it with my bare fingers. it does work perfectly if I put a handkerchief over my finger and touch it with the material.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy 9300 cursor is erratic and does not stop still. It keeps jumping tp the top of the screen when i try to go to an item. If I try to text something its almost impossible as the cursor moves all over the screen. The phone is about 10 months old and has not been dropped recently. Ive reduced the sensitivity on the trackpad but this has had no affect whatsoever.
My BB Curve 9300 was doing okay until last night when it started to act weird. At first I thought I was imagining it but then the cursor kept on moving upwards whenever i move the trackpad. This happens intermittently. I have also noticed earlier that when I went out of my house and used it with the wind blowing and the sun glaring, it moved by itself and keeps on going upwards.

I have been told that I must be hitting the touchpad BUT I AM NOT. I have read that using a bluetooth mouse might help, but then I cannot use the lapdock on my lap!

I have one problem though. I noticed today when I was chatting with one of my contacts in BB messenger, I was not seeing what I was typing in the message bar. Only when I pressed send did I actually see the message. This only happened today and with this contact only.
I am currently on my 2nd X6 after the first one had a fault which made the cursor move by itself when composing a message (I always hold it at the regular portrait angle). It would also do the same with the delete button, sometimes I would press delete once, for example on a spelling error and the X6 would just carry on deleting, wiping out all of my message.So I have a new one and exactly the same is happening! The cursor flys around the screen, usually in the backwards direction, making a 30 second message turn into a 5 minute long nightmare. Im on o2, it is the 16 Gb model. Anyone know why it is doing this? I have taken the screen film off as I though that maybe that was interfering with the touch sensitivity, but it seems to be an internal error. It is infuriating losing a message, especially when I am on the move and can't use 2 hands to wrestle with this HAL-like behaviour The very fact I have had to sign in to this forum sums up how poor Nokia devices are.

The alert/sound only appears for incoming bbm messages when I'm typing on bbm. the alert/sound is different than the sound that I set on the profile menu and the volume is much bigger. View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently updated my Curve 9300 to the 6.6.0.207 OS and since then whenever I recieve a text message and I click to open it up it will open my previous text message, and it will do this multipul times, however it doesn't seem to do this every time, it appears to be when I haven't replied to the previous message (But even then that's not always the case)Any ideas why this is happening?

My wife has a bb 9300 3g on os6 and everything has been fine.However somehow she has screwed up the wi-fi settings.The phone will not connect to our home router and displays the rror message " failed to obtain an IP address".I hve tried everything on the phone from
- Removing the wi-fi setting and reentering them.
- Entering the details manually
- Removing the battery and rebooting the phone
- Reinstally the os over the computer
Nothing seems to work. I know the router is fine as I have the same phone and it connects ok along with several other devices.Has anyone any suggestions before I reset the phone to factory setting?
When I use my cursor/mouse it keeps shooting up to the top of the page. I have a curve 9330. I've tried taking out the battery and letting it reboot itself and it still keeps on doing this.

My "cursor" - the little black arrow - is still there but when hover over a search box for example and "click" my trackball nothing happens, similarly if the little hand symbol appears on a link if I "click" the trackball nothing happens. It makes me unable to text because every time I type a letter in the cursor scrolls all the way up the conversation. I can't click on any of the apps or icons as the cursor keeps moving! It is not due to track pad sensitivity or anything.
