My 9300 cursor is erratic and does not stop still. It keeps jumping tp the top of the screen when i try to go to an item. If I try to text something its almost impossible as the cursor moves all over the screen. The phone is about 10 months old and has not been dropped recently. Ive reduced the sensitivity on the trackpad but this has had no affect whatsoever.
I have a blackberry curve 9300 and the cursor does not work at all when I use it with my bare fingers. it does work perfectly if I put a handkerchief over my finger and touch it with the material.

At first I thought I was imagining it but then the cursor kept on moving upwards whenever i move the trackpad. This happens intermittently. I have also noticed earlier that when I went out of my house and used it with the wind blowing and the sun glaring, it moved by itself and keeps on going upwards.

Or i must plug the phone on the sector and then it works ok.I have changed the battery. I have already the same problem. I asked support to Orange but i bought the phone 18 months ago so there's no more warranty. They said that blackberry warranty is 1 more year after the one year Orange warranty.

Ever since, my light is blinking like there is something I need to check, but I have gone in and been through every app and even the hidden folders and can not find any notifications. I have done a hard reset. I am on 5.0 currently and there are no icons at the top of the screen or anything to show me what I need to check to turn the light off.

My "cursor" - the little black arrow - is still there but when hover over a search box for example and "click" my trackball nothing happens, similarly if the little hand symbol appears on a link if I "click" the trackball nothing happens. When I am listening to my music it will cut out spontaneously after circa 20 mins; my screen display will be distorted; the phone takes a while to respond when I select various applications. It's getting really frustrating and while I have tried the usual solutions like removing the battery and powering down etc, nothing seems to work.I contacted BlackBerry to enquire about getting a replacement handset within my one year warranty period and they said I should get technical support, and that the handset is probably not defective.

Also when it does switch to Edge the AT&T in the upper left goes away for as much as 5 seconds--and during that time the phone has nothing at all--and does the sam thing when it comes back. It takes several presses in for it to work, and I will often have to press it in quite hard. View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm new to the forum and have some frustration after "upgrading" to OS 6. I have a Curve 3G through Verizon Wireless, and when I got it a month ago all was great with OS 5. I updated it to OS 6 when it came out a couple weeks ago from VZW, and since then have had a ton of problems. The first was battery drain, which was solved by removing BBM. The second is more frustrating. Since the upgrade, my cursor seems to jump out of my text message or email very easily while typing. I also notice that when selecting apps it seems that my trackpad jumps around quite easily. They both seem to be exaggerated when outside or sitting near a light or window. It almost acts like the trackpad is effected by light and is causing the cursor to be moved out of my message or around my screen since I've updated software versions. I have tried several battery pulls without success and while I enjoy the new features of OS 6, I don't enjoy the hassles. I feel like the only way to solve the issue is to go back to OS 5 untl there are some patches to fix some of these bugs.

At times it happens that when trying to scroll the cursor on the Bold 9700 (touch-pad) to a specific location to type, it seems to have a mind of its own and moves full speed upwards of the page. When trying to force it down it moves accordingly, but the instant my finger leaves the touch pad, it moves back up-wards. Any ideas on this behavior? I tend to do a quick wipe of the phone face area and touch pad, but doesn't help much. It also happens, peculiarly when trying to enter a contact info, or trying to type a message. I am thinking some kind of static or something?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the galaxy sii and have only had it a few weeks. awesome bit of kit, I am constantly learning new things about it. bumped into a friend with the same phone who showed me a few things. when I type and make a mistake I have to tap and hold the text box and this little blue tab appears that you can move around. my friend had these arrow keys that meant he could tap back to previously typed words. he said his phone had always been like that. he had to catch a train so we couldnt sit down and find out why they differed! Does anyone know how I can set my phone text up like this?

I bought the device a month ago and had a brand new battery installed in no later than yesterday.Battery life is about 3 to 5 hours at the very best, whilst I am not using any specific 3rd party application.In addition, the "clock" apprears on a very frequent basis, slowing the system dramatically.I do not have any files saved on the media card ... Wi-fi has been disabled already as have Bluetooth. LAt, connection the mobile network is fine so I do not believe it has to do with the device desperately seeking connection.PS: I am based in France with SFR being my provider.
