My Blackberry is frozen! The curser ball doesn"t do anything at all. It was find and the it just stopped working. And, no, tried turning on and off, taking out battery, no change.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had my Curve 8330 since August 2009. The mouse ball stopped working when I move it in the down direction. It works fine going up, left or right, just not down. It did this a few months ago, then miraculously started working again. This time, it started working again for about 20 minutes, and stopped again. I have pulled out the battery and put it back in to do a complete reboot, but to no avail.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a BB Curve 8900 and my keyboard and roller-ball seem to be frozen. I had no issues at all on yesterday and then in the evening today everything just sort of...froze. The ball will scroll but I cant click on anything or use ANY of the keys. It registers as getting texts in and my light is blinking but, like I said, I can't access anything at all. I have removed the battery for nearly 12 hours to no avail.

View 5 Replies View RelatedRoller ball rolls fine but nothing scrolls on screen. It is stuck highlighting the email icon and won't go anywhere else. The ball rolls smooth, it doesn't feel like anything is stuck. I've pulled the battery and cleaned the track ball - still nothing. It's like there is no connectivity.

So I was thinking about trying to wipe it and re-installing a newer OS. I have not done this for this type of phone.

View 8 Replies View RelatedWhilst browsing the internet my "cursor" has suddenly stopped working. My "cursor" - the little black arrow - is still there but when hover over a search box for example and "click" my trackball nothing happens, similarly if the little hand symbol appears on a link if I "click" the trackball nothing happens. I've discovered I can press return when the hand appears and it goes to the link, but this is no use when only the arrow appears.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a new(well, was display model) 8310 & just got a 2gig data card for my new phone & loaded some songs & pictures onto it(nowhere near half filling the card). When I went to unplug it, it was frozen on the home screen!Tried a battery pull, to no avail. It booted up & was frozen again.
Came back to it bout 40 mins later & it had "Do you want to turn on Mass Storage Mode? You might not be able to access some media files in this mode." The trackball worked & I chose "No".Phone appeared to work, chose a ringtone I'd just loaded, no worries. Then went into my pictures... It only showed a few of my photos in thumbnails and froze again! When after another age, it decided to work again, all my pictures (about 30 but reduced to under 200kb before loading) were visible in thumbnails, but most of them were not in proper colour - only in red & green!
Next thing I tried was plugging it back into the computer, deleting & reloading the pics. I also chose 'convert for optimum playback' this time and when loaded & the phone asked about 'Mass Storage Mode' I chose 'yes'.So now it keeps freezing still, for shorter times without apparent reason, as if I've overloaded it(??) and most pics have appeared correctly, but some are still in green/red only.
I just got the 8350 curve 3 days ago.. Now my Track ball wont work at all.Today I did drop it but it was working just fine. Then I downloaded a game and a theme.. about 30 mins after the theme it started not to work.The only thing I can do is take a picture.The track ball wont move at all. Left or right. It will take a picture.Is there anything I can do? Please help me if you can.I cant even dial my phone. when i type a name in it wont let me scrool down to the number I need.is there a way to dete the stuff? Or fix the trackball?

I had my wife try from her work email and I have gone to my laptop and all email functions are normal. Do you need to know that I am on Verizon.

View 9 Replies View RelatedSo, yesterday i decided to clean my Sony Z3 because it was dirty, i cleaned it with the hose (water), i made sure i used a towel to remove the water i blowed the water left, and i placed it back on the table, after 2 hours i decided to take the phone and see what's new and when i pressed the button to see if it opens it did but the unfortune part is that the touch screen is not responding like if i try to go to home menu i can't because it's not working to slide or anything, it's just froze but the power button and volume keys are working, this thing pisses me off so bad, i placed the phone in a bowl of rice it's been 7 hours sinceit's there and nothing the phone is closed and still nothing happend after 7 hours, and there is condensation on the camera lens btw.

Both T Moblie and Littlewoods.com (who I bought it off) can't help as the warrenty is over now. I am unhappy with this phone now. I got a Blackberry as it's one of the best phones, but not for me now. What can I do to fix it?

Greetings, blackberry 8310: some keys are not working, now normally I would think it's because it has gone through some rough punishment, but odd enough, sometimes they work. The Keys i'm talking about are the Z-C-N-M-SPACE-RIGHT SHIFT-LOWER VOLUME keys, but, when I press Z like 10 times it starts to work, so does the C, and then the N and M and SPACE, and what's even weirder is that when the keys do work, they work without any problem whatsoever, I think it's a software problem or something or an OS problem but I'm not an engineer, so I dont know.
View 7 Replies View Relatedi have a 8310 curve and it's not working correctly.Everything on the phone works except the audio, both the speaker and mic, work intermittently. It's kind of hard to explain but the audio sounds very choppy and it is difficult to hear anything. I've tried a system wipe on the phone and that still didn't do anything.

So anyway, When I download themes they are jad. files i believe and NOT zip. I then go to my computer and drag and drop the themes into my blackberry media card folder (i made a themes folder) i then go to my blackberry and go to media and click explore then i got to the themes folder but when i go to download it it says "download failed" so i click details and it says "907 invalid COD file not found"

The one that doesn't work is a downloaded tone from crackberry but I also can't get a built in ringtone to work either. not sure what to do here. Is any one else having this problem? Also how do i fix it?

The phone works but several Blackberry features are missing, including the ability to set up email internet and outlook email accounts.Also, the broadband connection still says "edge" in lowercaps, which I have heard is ATT specific.Can I use this phone on a T Mobil network? I recently upgraded to the latest 8320 OS 4.5 using the "CrackMem method". As a result, Options > About does not work for me to find out my firmware. Is there any alternate option to get this information (KB shortcut, perhaps)?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI put my AT&T 8310 in an aftermarket hard shell case, trying to protect the keyboard. When I pulled it out some of the keys weren't working. Gradually some are coming back, but the delete/backspace key doesn't work (sometimes it kicks in and does a Pac Man) and the Alt Back combination to bring up switch applications isn't working even though both keys work independently.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI fell in love with my 8310 when I first got it about 2 years ago. It has everything I could need. I am not a internet person but it has the memo pad for my fireman stuff, the right size buttons for texting since I have pretty large hands, and I liked the applications I had. Well my phone has taken the falls and the other day it fell face first into a rain puddle. I grabbed it up fast. The cell has dried and it still works except for the trackball and the menu button. Basically the 2 most important buttons. I took it to the store and the phones strip was still white and never turned red. They told me I am do for a upgrade. I love the 8310, its been great to me. So the question: is there a fix of the keypad I can just get off ebay or the other options were 2 cells I found. Not wanting to do the whole data plan deal and not all stoked about a 3g. The guy was trying to press the torch on me and I told him no thanks.
The cells that interest me are.
1) The 8520. I like this one cause it seems like its not far from what I had maybe a few new bells and whistles. I see it has wifi.
