Roller ball rolls fine but nothing scrolls on screen. It is stuck highlighting the email icon and won't go anywhere else. The ball rolls smooth, it doesn't feel like anything is stuck. I've pulled the battery and cleaned the track ball - still nothing. It's like there is no connectivity.
View 5 Repliesso here's my problem. i went over to a friends house today for a barbecue, and when i got there i sent a text so i know everything was working fine. a few hours later i get home and notice that the screen on my Curve is black, and i knew something was up because i know it was fully charged before i left the house earlier. hit the buttons and nothing. so i do a battery pull and it reboots fine, then the screen goes black after 30 seconds and then hit the buttons and nothing. when i hook a mini usb cable up to the port, the screen comes back on for the usual 30 seconds, then goes black like the other times. when i connected it via the cable and the screen lit up, i noticed that the trackball scrolls fine left and right, but pushing the trackball does nothing.the phone is about a year and a half old, through Verizon. i have no problem with getting a new phone, but i don't want to loose the 150 or so contacts i have on the phone. i don't have Google Sync installed on the phone, and i'm guessing that it's too late to back anything up now on my end. when i connect it to my PC, i can access the usually Media folders and Slacker, but nothing else. if i take it into a local VZW store, would they be able to back up my address book the exact way it is now, since the phone powers on and the USB port works fine?i'm going to remove the shell tonight and see if i notice anything.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a BB Curve 8900 and my keyboard and roller-ball seem to be frozen. I had no issues at all on yesterday and then in the evening today everything just sort of...froze. The ball will scroll but I cant click on anything or use ANY of the keys. It registers as getting texts in and my light is blinking but, like I said, I can't access anything at all. I have removed the battery for nearly 12 hours to no avail.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOK I have checked other threads and havent found a solution...it could be that there isn't one but somehow I am optimistic. Saturday night my phone worked fine. I go to bed wake up and my scroll ball wont click. It scrolls fine but does not select when pressed. I took it to Verizon, they claim water damage. I haven't dropped it in water or anything like that so I am not sure how that's possible. They replaced my trackball and it still doesn't work. Any additional ideas? I can go the Asurion and replace it but don't really want to do that for something as minute as this.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI have Nexus 5 and was running good with Marshmellow and suddenly one day the screen started scrolling up. Restart or factory reset did not work. While starting the boot logo was also corrupted and I use to get is display with random pixels lit with different colors, mostly white and red. So have tried different bootloaders and even downgrading to 4.4.4 but the issue is still there.

I contacted rogers just a month ago because suddenly my blackberry was scrolling up by itself and at times when I would type, weird characters would appear instead of the letters I was typing, they sent me a refurbished one and I sent back my old one. Now it's started yet again but with my new one. I've done the battery pull many times but it never seems to help and it's getting really bad, especially on bbm and text messages. I've begun deleting apps but I don't see anything that could be the problem as of now... Did anyone experience a similar problem and have a solution for it? I've checked another thread about this but there was no solution to this problem and I'm not sure if rogers will send me yet again another phone.
I have a 6 month old phone that has never been wet. Today for no apparent reason all the buttons stopped working. The trackpad can be used to scroll back and forth across the home screen till the screen fades due to inactivity.

I can't find it anywhere! Also, when a text does come, the actual message quickly scrolls across the black bar at the top of the home screen..can I remove this? I got the Blue Screen of Death both times that I tried to back up my Blackberry. I'm afraid it's going to crash my computer, or my Blackberry. I have read that by having the HP Printer driver installed it could cause it. I don't know if it's true or not.

Really gotta start from square one again...very annoying...the only thing is I do not have my memo and task app on my screen. Is there a website to download this? I don't App world, which I read causes the timer to pop up on screen and I don't have Facebook on my phone. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a new(well, was display model) 8310 & just got a 2gig data card for my new phone & loaded some songs & pictures onto it(nowhere near half filling the card). When I went to unplug it, it was frozen on the home screen!Tried a battery pull, to no avail. It booted up & was frozen again.
Came back to it bout 40 mins later & it had "Do you want to turn on Mass Storage Mode? You might not be able to access some media files in this mode." The trackball worked & I chose "No".Phone appeared to work, chose a ringtone I'd just loaded, no worries. Then went into my pictures... It only showed a few of my photos in thumbnails and froze again! When after another age, it decided to work again, all my pictures (about 30 but reduced to under 200kb before loading) were visible in thumbnails, but most of them were not in proper colour - only in red & green!
Next thing I tried was plugging it back into the computer, deleting & reloading the pics. I also chose 'convert for optimum playback' this time and when loaded & the phone asked about 'Mass Storage Mode' I chose 'yes'.So now it keeps freezing still, for shorter times without apparent reason, as if I've overloaded it(??) and most pics have appeared correctly, but some are still in green/red only.
