My touchpad is sensitive and scrolls to the bottom of the list even though I have changed the sensitivity. I have done the soft and the hard boot and the test still same condition. Also I bought this phone from someone and no warranty. What are my options, as I have spent a lot on the phone to buy it. The phone has version 6 software.

I contacted rogers just a month ago because suddenly my blackberry was scrolling up by itself and at times when I would type, weird characters would appear instead of the letters I was typing, they sent me a refurbished one and I sent back my old one. Now it's started yet again but with my new one. I've done the battery pull many times but it never seems to help and it's getting really bad, especially on bbm and text messages. I've begun deleting apps but I don't see anything that could be the problem as of now... Did anyone experience a similar problem and have a solution for it? I've checked another thread about this but there was no solution to this problem and I'm not sure if rogers will send me yet again another phone.
I had a problem with my phone rebooting every couple of minutes. I followed the reinstall procedure and now the terms and conditions screen is showing but I can't move in ant direction using the touchpad. Pressing it does select things, unlock and OK when I enter password but that's all I can do.

The touchpad in the middle of the phone is not allowing me to move it to other icon's, so it is stuck on the Envelope (e-mail) folder and will only open the last e-mail. It will not allow me to view, send or receive anything else Have tried cleaning it as per the view someone kindly posted me, but no luck. I have tried rebooting and also removing battery, but again, no luck! don't really want to have to go out and buy a new BB as I only got this one in January!!

The ball rolls smooth, it doesn't feel like anything is stuck. I've pulled the battery and cleaned the track ball - still nothing. It's like there is no connectivity.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I installed an Invisible Shield on my 8900 yesterday and I turned it on a few minutes ago to find that the trackball isn't working well anymore.The phone works fine, it didn't have any water damage.
However to be able to use the trackball I have to press down while spinning it.Also it feels kinda smooth, like it offers no resistance when spinning.Any solutions? What can I do? If i take in to T-Mobile can they give me a new trackball? (Phone was purchased March 08.)
My BB Curve 9300 was doing okay until last night when it started to act weird. At first I thought I was imagining it but then the cursor kept on moving upwards whenever i move the trackpad. This happens intermittently. I have also noticed earlier that when I went out of my house and used it with the wind blowing and the sun glaring, it moved by itself and keeps on going upwards.
View 9 Replies View Relatedso here's my problem. i went over to a friends house today for a barbecue, and when i got there i sent a text so i know everything was working fine. a few hours later i get home and notice that the screen on my Curve is black, and i knew something was up because i know it was fully charged before i left the house earlier. hit the buttons and nothing. so i do a battery pull and it reboots fine, then the screen goes black after 30 seconds and then hit the buttons and nothing. when i hook a mini usb cable up to the port, the screen comes back on for the usual 30 seconds, then goes black like the other times. when i connected it via the cable and the screen lit up, i noticed that the trackball scrolls fine left and right, but pushing the trackball does nothing.the phone is about a year and a half old, through Verizon. i have no problem with getting a new phone, but i don't want to loose the 150 or so contacts i have on the phone. i don't have Google Sync installed on the phone, and i'm guessing that it's too late to back anything up now on my end. when i connect it to my PC, i can access the usually Media folders and Slacker, but nothing else. if i take it into a local VZW store, would they be able to back up my address book the exact way it is now, since the phone powers on and the USB port works fine?i'm going to remove the shell tonight and see if i notice anything.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI've discovered a really annoying bug with the text messaging app where I'll find that it will have scrolled all the way up to the top of the thread at times which is really annoying.
I have been trying to recreate the problem and the last time it was doing it was when I came out of being locked straight to an SMS thread and it will be at the top. I could scroll all the way back down and if I angle the phone so that it switches to landscape, then back to portrait it will then go back up to the top of the thread.
Has anyone else ran into the annoying problem of ending up at the top of an SMS thread when you didn't want to?
I was in a game and my muse button stopped working, I now have to use the enter button, the mouse still can scroll but if I want to select anything from my menu I have to use the enter button, I also can not get back into the game it is stuck on Play or Exit and there the enter button is not working nor the mouse button I can scroll between Play or Exit but nothing else happens

View 1 Replies View RelatedOn Wednesday this week, it was pouring with rain and my jeans got soaked right through and the BB 9105 was in front jean pocket. Later that day, the select function of the trackpad (ie pressing down to select something) stopped working. I assumed it was water damage as devices these days are sensitive to anything. The timing of it all made sense. I waited until Saturday (today) and there was no change.I am a student, so buying an old replacement phone wasnt an option, I need that phone so I went to a high street phone repair shop who put a new trackpad in I think, or tightened it up (I dont know exactly). I thought this would be the end of my problems. This cost £25 to get fixed. Bottom line is, it was fixed, the trackpad worked perfectly. I asked the guy at the shop what was wrong with it, he didnt know, so I asked if he thought it was water damage and he said he found no sign of it but said it can be difficult to see. So, about 3 hours ago I upgraded to the V6 of the software. As of 15 minutes ago, the same problem has started with the trackpad. The shop is closed tomorrow where I got the phone fixed and from Mon-Fri I work rubbish hours for my summer job (I get up at 6am and am home at 7pm) meaning I can't visit the shop nor can I get anyone else I know to until next Saturday. I can barely afford to pay another £25 for the problem to get re-fixed and am guessing the warranty has been invalidated because of it being tampered with to get fixed.I just don't know what to do next, I've tried posting on other forms with BB sections but have had no responses yet.

It does have tactile feedback, and you can feel the button depress, but on the phone, nothing happens.I've tried everything (hard resets, soft resets, battery pulls, etc) but it still doesn't work.I was starting to get used to just hitting the Enter button on the keyboard until my girl turned of the 'Mobile Networks' in the radio menu somewhere. When you're trying to turn it back on using the enter key, all it does is go to the next selection. I am quite experienced with these phones and I have replaced the trackpad on these phones before, but right now my girl has it and she's off island.

I go to bed wake up and my scroll ball wont click. It scrolls fine but does not select when pressed. I took it to Verizon, they claim water damage. I haven't dropped it in water or anything like that so I am not sure how that's possible. They replaced my trackball and it still doesn't work. Any additional ideas? I can go the Asurion and replace it but don't really want to do that for something as minute as this.
