I was in a game and my muse button stopped working, I now have to use the enter button, the mouse still can scroll but if I want to select anything from my menu I have to use the enter button, I also can not get back into the game it is stuck on Play or Exit and there the enter button is not working nor the mouse button I can scroll between Play or Exit but nothing else happens
View 2 RepliesThis problem just started happening. The trackpad would scroll without any problems, but pressing it down (to select) will not work. It does have tactile feedback, and you can feel the button depress, but on the phone, nothing happens.I've tried everything (hard resets, soft resets, battery pulls, etc) but it still doesn't work.I was starting to get used to just hitting the Enter button on the keyboard until my girl turned of the 'Mobile Networks' in the radio menu somewhere. When you're trying to turn it back on using the enter key, all it does is go to the next selection. I am quite experienced with these phones and I have replaced the trackpad on these phones before, but right now my girl has it and she's off island.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've discovered a really annoying bug with the text messaging app where I'll find that it will have scrolled all the way up to the top of the thread at times which is really annoying.
I have been trying to recreate the problem and the last time it was doing it was when I came out of being locked straight to an SMS thread and it will be at the top. I could scroll all the way back down and if I angle the phone so that it switches to landscape, then back to portrait it will then go back up to the top of the thread.
Has anyone else ran into the annoying problem of ending up at the top of an SMS thread when you didn't want to?

I contacted rogers just a month ago because suddenly my blackberry was scrolling up by itself and at times when I would type, weird characters would appear instead of the letters I was typing, they sent me a refurbished one and I sent back my old one. Now it's started yet again but with my new one. I've done the battery pull many times but it never seems to help and it's getting really bad, especially on bbm and text messages. I've begun deleting apps but I don't see anything that could be the problem as of now... Did anyone experience a similar problem and have a solution for it? I've checked another thread about this but there was no solution to this problem and I'm not sure if rogers will send me yet again another phone.
Since today i can't enter my Homescreen or menu. If i press the menu button nothing happens (no it's not locked) if I hold the menu button the "running app popup appears and i can open the running apps" if I press the back button i'll get a white screen..(today i upgrade my Doc. to go and since then i'm expiring the problems)
I tried Batt. pull and I went back to a older back-up but it is'nt working.
I have been given my new 9700 device. Great! But I like to switch languages and before I used the ALT-ENTER shortcut to do this. Now, when I try this shortcut, it locks the BB Does anyone know how I can disable this? I've gone to Languages and changed the following:
Input language shortcut: ALT-ENTER
Enable Quick Selection: YES
But it still locks the keyoad whenever I try this

View 1 Replies View RelatedOn Wednesday this week, it was pouring with rain and my jeans got soaked right through and the BB 9105 was in front jean pocket. Later that day, the select function of the trackpad (ie pressing down to select something) stopped working. I assumed it was water damage as devices these days are sensitive to anything. The timing of it all made sense. I waited until Saturday (today) and there was no change.I am a student, so buying an old replacement phone wasnt an option, I need that phone so I went to a high street phone repair shop who put a new trackpad in I think, or tightened it up (I dont know exactly). I thought this would be the end of my problems. This cost £25 to get fixed. Bottom line is, it was fixed, the trackpad worked perfectly. I asked the guy at the shop what was wrong with it, he didnt know, so I asked if he thought it was water damage and he said he found no sign of it but said it can be difficult to see. So, about 3 hours ago I upgraded to the V6 of the software. As of 15 minutes ago, the same problem has started with the trackpad. The shop is closed tomorrow where I got the phone fixed and from Mon-Fri I work rubbish hours for my summer job (I get up at 6am and am home at 7pm) meaning I can't visit the shop nor can I get anyone else I know to until next Saturday. I can barely afford to pay another £25 for the problem to get re-fixed and am guessing the warranty has been invalidated because of it being tampered with to get fixed.I just don't know what to do next, I've tried posting on other forms with BB sections but have had no responses yet.

I got my new Blackberry 9700 but the only problem is, when I set my password and enable it, the phone doesn't prompt me to enter the password whenever I unlock the phone. It only asks if I go to settings>password lock or when I reboot the phone. I'm new here, and I apologize if this has been posted before.

I obtained the unlock code from Vodafone but the user managed to put the MEP code in wrong too many times and now I get a message: "Enter Network MEP code (0 left)"I've tried resetting factory defaults as per Vodafone advice and updated to latest OS but still get the same message. Vodafone have basically now told me to contact RIM. Will RIM sort this and how much will it cost?

I go to bed wake up and my scroll ball wont click. It scrolls fine but does not select when pressed. I took it to Verizon, they claim water damage. I haven't dropped it in water or anything like that so I am not sure how that's possible. They replaced my trackball and it still doesn't work. Any additional ideas? I can go the Asurion and replace it but don't really want to do that for something as minute as this.

While starting the boot logo was also corrupted and I use to get is display with random pixels lit with different colors, mostly white and red. So have tried different bootloaders and even downgrading to 4.4.4 but the issue is still there.
View 2 Replies View RelatedEvery time I try to call a number (LAN LINE) that has a block on unidentified callers, I get the message "The number you are calling does not accept unidentified calls please enter your 10 digit phone number" The funny thing is that this problem just started to happen. A week ago it was fine. When I do call a number that is not blocked, my number comes up correctly on the caller ID but shows as unidentified. Sometimes, it shows up as international.Now, funny thing is that if I put my SIM in my Pearl, I can make calls no problem. There are two settings on the Bold under general options. One is called "Restrict My Identity" In this case, I have have it set to NEVER. I have also tried NETWORK DETERMINED, but neither of them make difference. The other setting is called "Show My Number" and this is set to YES.I have talked to AT&T until I am blue in the face. They say it is a problem with the phone and that it needs to be replaced. I hardly believe that. I have a friend with the same phone and it has the same problem.I did see some threads on this before in other forums, but never did see an answer to the problem.Finding a solution would be very nice.Already tried doing a factory reset and a security wipe on the phone.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI own a blackberry 9700 since 2 yrs. I tried for the first time to save my device data on my computer by using the BB Desktop Software. To connect my cell phone and my PC, I had to provide a "password". I typed my device password and then my SIM Card pin #, without any luck. An alert message indicated that this was my last chance to enter the right code, and if I don"t, all my device data would be merely erased.
I also cannot access anymore to my cell phone as long as I don't provide with this "mysterious" password. The point is also that I switched off my device. If turn it on, I will have to type the word "blackberry" first, and then the said password will be requested: at this step is it the SIM card PIN # or necessarily the device password?
I didn't use my cell phone for several weeks since that time, so scared to do a wrong thing. When I just tried to reload the battery, I saw the phone doing like a "reset". Then I took off the battery to stop the process. Did I do something wrong? Is it now too late to get back my data?
Roller ball rolls fine but nothing scrolls on screen. It is stuck highlighting the email icon and won't go anywhere else. The ball rolls smooth, it doesn't feel like anything is stuck. I've pulled the battery and cleaned the track ball - still nothing. It's like there is no connectivity.
