Motorola Bravo :: SMS App Bug (scrolls All The Way Up)
Aug 2, 2011
I've discovered a really annoying bug with the text messaging app where I'll find that it will have scrolled all the way up to the top of the thread at times which is really annoying.
I have been trying to recreate the problem and the last time it was doing it was when I came out of being locked straight to an SMS thread and it will be at the top. I could scroll all the way back down and if I angle the phone so that it switches to landscape, then back to portrait it will then go back up to the top of the thread.
Has anyone else ran into the annoying problem of ending up at the top of an SMS thread when you didn't want to?
Just recently my pc began having a problem recognizing my Bravo as a phone. Until then everything was fine. Now when I plug my Bravo into a USB port, I hear a chime, but no window opens. When I go to My Computer, the phone is shown as Removeable Disk (X:).When I double click on it, a small window opens with this message: "Insert Disk. Please insert a disk into drive X:." Under properties, it appears as Motorola MB520 USB Device, a disk drive. After plenty of research, I have tried changing the assigned letter of the drive twice.Every other USB device I own works just fine on my PC. The only way I can access the phone on my PC is to turn off the pc, connect the phone, power on the pc, and then the phone appears as a phone. When I connect the phone to another pc, the phone appears as it should. Some research shows this problem may be related to Acronis on my pc, but another pc with Acronis on it can recognize my phone. Could this be the result of disconnecting the phone without "preparing" the disconnect?
setting up a Bravo MB520 to work correctly with Consumer Cellular Service. Which fields have to be set up to make the Data work? Is there a good guide to explain all the software in setup for instance? Or how do I get an unlock code to get the phone away from other networks?
After I updated the software, my phone will randomly restart itself. It will go to a black screen, then reboot on its own. I have tried two refurb phones from ATT and a new battery, and it still does it. I even got a new SD card, thinking that maybe it was a memory issue. Still restarting. Is there a solution (besides just buying a new phone)?
It doesn't happen all the time, but the last few times I have run my motoactv just starts scrolling through songs and won't stop. Also, it will be playing a song and then suddenly go to the same song over and over again. Then there are times the songs just stop.
after update on my bravo i had a lot of issues, so i did a factory reset and seems to run fairly well now. My android system is running at 100% and im not quite sure what to do?
I installed the drivers from motohelper but when I enable the tethering function on my phone the motorola usb networking driver changes to motorola usb RNDIS device and it shows not working (the motorola usb modem disappears from my device list) . my network notification shows I'm connected but internet explorer doesn't find any pages. my system is dell lattitude d600 running windows xp
i have a brand new motorola bravo bought from att (android 2.2). when i make phone calls, i can see the call going out and it even shows 'active call'. but i cannot hear anything and also, the other person cant hear my voice. so, basically, no voice is going in and out during a phone call. same for incoming calls: i can see the call coming and when i accept, it shows 'active call' but no voice is going in and out.
music and Internet work fine. i can hear the phone ring when a call comes. so, fundamentally the phone's sound system works fine.....
I am at the 2.2.1 level. When I "power-up" my BRAVO from a standby state, the "contacts" or "dialer" screen appears without any request from me. When I touch the "revert" button, the screen goes black except for the notification bar.I then need to hit the HOME button to get started. Is there some parameter that controls what "starts up" on wake-up?
I changed my yahoo email password online. I keep getting an email authentification error on my Motorola Bravo now and I cannot access my email from the phone.
I recently purchased a used Bravo phone. It's an AT&T version that is unlocked and has been updated to FROYO. Although Motorola says there's no way to do it, I have read that it is possible to uninstall pre-loaded apps. I would really like to get rid of all the AT&T crapware!
My Bravo got stuck at the Motorola Screen. I tried to VOL/POW button at the same time but that leads me to no where. Every 60 seconds, the Motorola logo flashes.
After an attempt at upgrading, my Bravo now shows only a black screen with the small white bar at the top. I can receive calls, but that's it. I thought there was a discussion of this problem here, but I can't find it. Any way to get back to normal without losing home screen setup?
I keep trying to attach a jpg to a text message. I get the message that it is converting to mms, but then I get an error message saying the message was not sent.
In the past week, my battery life has gone down to about 5 hours from fully charged with little to no use. I checked my battery use and it shows that Cell Standby is at 61%. Time without a signal is indicated at 50%; even though I normally have 4 to 5 bars of 3G signal stength all the time.
I uninstalled several apps including anything I added in the last couple of weeks. No change. I did recently get an aftemarket Cellit USB car charger. Is it possible that I screwed up the battery by using this car charger?
I also checked my network settings as suggested in another thread here, and my phone was already set to "GSM Auto (PRL)"; which is supposed to give much better battery life.
I was having problems changing the password of my Twitter account and adding my Facebook account, so I factory reset my phone. I also reset my Motoblur password using the web portal. Now, I cannot use my phone at all because I cannot set up my phone's Motoblur. I even tried registering a new Motoblur account, but I still get the same error message: "An error has occurred. Please try again." My phone is basically unusable now. What can I do?
I have the 200MB plan and use the internet when I am ONLY on WiFi networks. However, while exploring 2.2, I recall seeing a setting that, if the WiFi connection drops, the new setting stops the Bravo from using the 3G. If the Bravo changed over to 3G to maintain the internet connection (apparently the default setting), massive data charges would be incurred. I have tried to re-discover this setting but no success to date. Any way to use / change this "WiFi to 3G" setting?
When I first bought my phone, I was able to send, and receive, photos attached to text messages while I was connected to a Wi-Fi.However, some time back, I think it was after the Android OS was updatetd, but not sure, that feature quit working.ow, I must be connected to 3G, and not Wi-Fi in order for photos to transmit. Everything else works fine through Wi-Fi.
I use my Motorola Bravo with headphones to play music when I walk. However, I'd also like to be able to play the music through speakers in order to pump the volume. However, when I plug in external speakers to my phone, the music sounds like it does through headphones. When I remove the speakers from the phone, the music plays louder than when I have speakers plugged in.
How can I use my phone to play music through speakers properly? Is there a sound setting that I'm missing to switch back and forth? I want something like when you put an iPhone into a docking station and you can hear the music clearly on the other side of the room.
