My BB Curve 9300 was doing okay until last night when it started to act weird. At first I thought I was imagining it but then the cursor kept on moving upwards whenever i move the trackpad. This happens intermittently. I have also noticed earlier that when I went out of my house and used it with the wind blowing and the sun glaring, it moved by itself and keeps on going upwards.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have started to take note of an issue that started out small, but is becoming a slight drag. At times it happens that when trying to scroll the cursor on the Bold 9700 (touch-pad) to a specific location to type, it seems to have a mind of its own and moves full speed upwards of the page. When trying to force it down it moves accordingly, but the instant my finger leaves the touch pad, it moves back up-wards. Any ideas on this behavior? I tend to do a quick wipe of the phone face area and touch pad, but doesn't help much. It also happens, peculiarly when trying to enter a contact info, or trying to type a message. I am thinking some kind of static or something?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm new to the forum and have some frustration after "upgrading" to OS 6. I have a Curve 3G through Verizon Wireless, and when I got it a month ago all was great with OS 5. I updated it to OS 6 when it came out a couple weeks ago from VZW, and since then have had a ton of problems. The first was battery drain, which was solved by removing BBM. The second is more frustrating. Since the upgrade, my cursor seems to jump out of my text message or email very easily while typing. I also notice that when selecting apps it seems that my trackpad jumps around quite easily. They both seem to be exaggerated when outside or sitting near a light or window. It almost acts like the trackpad is effected by light and is causing the cursor to be moved out of my message or around my screen since I've updated software versions. I have tried several battery pulls without success and while I enjoy the new features of OS 6, I don't enjoy the hassles. I feel like the only way to solve the issue is to go back to OS 5 untl there are some patches to fix some of these bugs.

1. Sometimes when typing SMS, the cursor will keep moving backwards and hang there (sounding tut tut tut... continuously and unstoppable)
2. Sometimes the vibration on touching the screen will suddenly become stronger than normal, like suddenly Zeeek, zek, zek rather than normal zek, zek, zek~
I am not sure whether it is common in V50 firmware or it happens only to my specific phone.
I have a blackberry curve 9300 and the cursor does not work at all when I use it with my bare fingers. it does work perfectly if I put a handkerchief over my finger and touch it with the material.

If I try to text something its almost impossible as the cursor moves all over the screen. The phone is about 10 months old and has not been dropped recently. Ive reduced the sensitivity on the trackpad but this has had no affect whatsoever.
Any solution for the erratic BB Curve 9300 cursor which jumps all over the place when trying to type messages? I've had to make countless attempts to put in my password to unlock my phone which is password protected simply because the cursor won't stay put.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Telus unlocked Bold 9900 which I am using on Bell. The phone works fine for different lengths of time, and then out of nowhere the trackpad will scroll on its own. Usually up to the top repeatedly, nothing will stop it. A battery pull usually puts it straight for a little while. I read on Crackberry of similar problems, I find if I clean the trackpad it seems better for a while. Is this a software issue or hardware issue? How can I fix it.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've had a big problem using my 9900 in bright daylight outdoors, I'm not 100% sure if it's due to heat, or the bright light, but the menus keep going up by themselves to the point where it's very hard to use the phone. I can control the menus by using the touch screen, but it's very difficult with the trackpad because they just keep going up.

One day I noticed that the cursor would move as I am typing a message. I was like wtf but I ignored it... then it kept happening and I noticed that this only happened when I was outside and had my phone out...
I tried using my phone under my desk lamp and there's nothing wrong it. It's something about the sunlight when I'm using my phone that makes the trackpad move in different directions.
The cursor on my Torch 9810 has disappeared. No matter how much I try to rub the 'trackball/trackpad' the cursor just won't reappear.I removed the battery, waited about 2 mins, reinserted it, but the problem persists!Please help! What shud I do? A lot of aplications depend on the trackpad and cursor.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAlright, so the trackpad isn't working, but at the same time it is. When I use it with my bare skin, it doesn't work, it takes many swips to do anything. But when I use it with say a piece of tape, or a cloth on the end of my fingers it works great and without a problem.
It's a used phone so swapping it is not an option, but is there some way to fix it?

View 9 Replies View Relatedmy blackberry curve 9300 track pad just stopped working. i tried removing the battery and sim card, several times, to reboot the phone but it didnt work. later on i tried to re-insert my sim card, the track pad is moving up and down, left to right, but when i try using for clicking and opening sms or email for example, it couldnt possibly work.also, my email started coming in, but sms does not, it keeps on popping a message that my sim card messaging memory is full, when i no longer have sms kept because i deleted them to save space.

Since last week my trackpad started disfunctioning. Whenever i scroll down it will automatically go up. Sometimes it happens alot, or sometimes a little. Im with Mobilicity since it has a little water damage problem, i dont think they will take my curve back.

I dropped my blackberry in water but there was no damage to it, but now when I explain it to my network provider they think it's because of the water damage.
