I have started to take note of an issue that started out small, but is becoming a slight drag. At times it happens that when trying to scroll the cursor on the Bold 9700 (touch-pad) to a specific location to type, it seems to have a mind of its own and moves full speed upwards of the page. When trying to force it down it moves accordingly, but the instant my finger leaves the touch pad, it moves back up-wards. Any ideas on this behavior? I tend to do a quick wipe of the phone face area and touch pad, but doesn't help much. It also happens, peculiarly when trying to enter a contact info, or trying to type a message. I am thinking some kind of static or something?
cursor moves around withoud control, making it very difficult to write or use apps. This happens both when using the touch screen but also with the physical keyboard...
I'm having trackball problem with my 8900, Its trackball moves freely but the cursor doesn't moves at all. I have tried all known issues like 'hard restart &wipeout handheld" but it doesn't help at all.
My BB Curve 9300 was doing okay until last night when it started to act weird. At first I thought I was imagining it but then the cursor kept on moving upwards whenever i move the trackpad. This happens intermittently. I have also noticed earlier that when I went out of my house and used it with the wind blowing and the sun glaring, it moved by itself and keeps on going upwards.
My nokia 5800 faces some problems here after upgrading to the new V50 firmware, not sure whether have u all encountered it before.
1. Sometimes when typing SMS, the cursor will keep moving backwards and hang there (sounding tut tut tut... continuously and unstoppable)
2. Sometimes the vibration on touching the screen will suddenly become stronger than normal, like suddenly Zeeek, zek, zek rather than normal zek, zek, zek~
I am not sure whether it is common in V50 firmware or it happens only to my specific phone.
Does your trackpad move down when you press the bottom of the trackpad? Once it's a bit downwards, I touch the top of the trackpad and it moves back in place.
Just curious if anyone else has an issue where the wind moves your cursor? My sensitivity is set at 70/70 which is the same as other people but they don't seem to have this issue.
First I Thought its normal because i had this thing since day one ... and then i was browsing the forums yesterday and saw someone had the same problem and after replacing the problem wasn't there anymore... so i'm worried now... Lemme know if its the problem i can talk to rogers and get my phone replaced... if its normal i guess i can live with it....
OK Here it goes...
When ever i pressed the Green / red or BB Button or Back Button the crystals on LCD Moves... the same way when someone put pressure on the Screen....
I'm inquiring about the accuracy of the cursor, it seems a bit temperamental at times, not as smooth as the Internet Browser. I have been using Opera Mini for the past three weeks and I still haven't got used to how the cursor works on it. Is there a way to make it so it's like the Internet Browser, or if it's the same with other BlackBerry 9700 devices?
I have a Telus unlocked Bold 9900 which I am using on Bell. The phone works fine for different lengths of time, and then out of nowhere the trackpad will scroll on its own. Usually up to the top repeatedly, nothing will stop it. A battery pull usually puts it straight for a little while. I read on Crackberry of similar problems, I find if I clean the trackpad it seems better for a while. Is this a software issue or hardware issue? How can I fix it.
I have just upgraded to the new Bold 9930 and I'm experiencing intermittent issues with the touch screen where it appears to have a mind of its own. Specifically the cursor will randomly scroll up without user input. Sometimes it's a line or two but usually it's all the way back to the top of the content currently being displayed on the screen.
That is to say that I was doing something to make it happen like touching the screen with multiple fingers but I have observed the actions with absolutely no contact with the screen so it can't be inadvertent touching. Then I thought that it might be the screen protector I installed.
I use the Invisible Shield products by Zagg so I uninstalled the screen protector and carefully cleaned the screen with a microfiber cloth but it continues to randomly scroll. I have no apps installed other than what the phone came with and I have tried with and without a memory card installed but the random behavior continues.
I got a new BB 9700 Bold yesterday and having problems with setting up the sync for the calendar and the contacts which are on my outlook. My hotmail email accounts are working okay. The outlook is on my PC and is the front face for my hotmail accounts.
When I go in to the BB Desktop device manager - version 5.0.1 (latest version) , I go in to the configure option on the left and it lets me click on calendar> then I select outlook and it then lets me select 'finish'. However at this stage an error box flashes up saying 'no available message stores'. In addition when I check the wifi config on the calendar and contacts icons on the BB device it will not let me select yes on the wireless connection for them.
I have a BB Bold 2 (9700). The Media Card slot wont lock down the card and keeps springing it out. If i keep the card pressed down it works but wont lock down.
I have Outlook 2007 on my desktop computer and use BT as a service provider and for my email, my Blackberry supplier is Vodafone and I use BIS.I have noticed that if my Blackberry receives an email first I don't get the same email delivered to my desktop. If my desktop gets an email first then the same email will be delivered to my Blackberry. I was happily deleting emails from my Blackberry thinking I would have them all on my desktop but I now find I have to check what emails I have on each before I delete anything. Is this an issue that anyone has come acrosss before and how do I resolve it apart from synching the Blackberry and desktop?I'm often away from the desktop which is why I bought the Blackberry in the first place.
The trackball on My blackberry curve 3g 9300 moves by itslef as if someone else is using it. normally it just scrolls itself up , but occasionaly it goes all over. it makes it hard to text, visit apps, or to just generally use the phone. ive had my phone for 9 months now, and it started doing this since 2months of me owning it.
I have bought BB Curve 9300 last week. The optical trackpad moves by its own. I also noticed that in the day this problem doesnt occur. but in the evening or in the low light it happens very frequently.
I own an xperia z2. It was working fine till I updated to lollipop. I experience some trouble. My xperia operates on its own without me touching it. It moves and selects app by itself. What should I do about it?
This problem started yesterday. Sometimes the screen is completely unresponsive. I can unlock the phone by the camera icon only. The phone also seems to be slightly warm.
I've owned my 9700 for nearly 2 months now and I'm still not used to the keyboard. I prefer my 8310's spaced out keys. has anybody replaced the 9700 keyboard with the Atlas keyboard?
I have a problem with my Blackberry and would be grateful if anyone knows what the problem is.I have only my Blackberry 9700 bold for 1 month or so.I am unable to lock my keypad by using the lock key on top of the phone. This has happened before but after charging my phone it started to work again. I have turned my phone on and off, tried charging it and the button still doesn't work. Although the keypad will lock when I put it into the leather case.Do you think it is a problem with my blackberry and I should return it? Or is this a problem people have had before and if so, how do I fix it?
My Bold is stuck on the boot screen (at about 75%). I've tried many battery pulls with and without the SIM and it keeps doing the same thing. I've searched what I think are all the threads on here relating to this, but I'm still stuck. I'm able to connect to the device if I run Loader.exe like a user suggested, but I don't know how/where to get software to load onto the device. All the places I've searched for an OS says I need to go into the device to find information about it. Well, I can't get into the device to do that. So, how do I know what OS to download and install? I really want to exhaust all possibilities before I have to completely wipe the device because I don't have a current backup. But, even if I wipe the device, I'm going to need to download an OS which I can't do now.
First two locked up constantly and rebooted. All I did was:
Set up Yahoo Mail Download Google Maps, Point, Movies Download One Theme - 18 Icon BlackBerry 9700 Sync with Yahoo Contacts Sync with Lotus Notes Calendar Only. Back Up WiFi connection to home router Bluetooth headset
I have recently purchased this 9700 (3 weeks ago) and am generally very pleased with the device. BUT If I leave the BB 9700 connected overnight to the computers USB Port for charging, and, obviously, after a few hours the computer will go to sleep, thus turning off the power to the USB port In the morning I find that the BB is: Off and will not turn on, unless it is power reset. In other words I have to open up the back and pull the battery for a second then after It is put back in the red light will display nevertheless it will turn on and be fine once it boots back up. There are no other indications or problems. I notice that other people have similar complaints with their BB's.
