BT keyboard with touchpad. A keyboard is nice, but I would rather not drag a mouse around as well? I know that fruitpads have had problems with some of the keyboard touchpads. Do they work on Xoom w/Honeycomb?
I seem to have this keyboard lag when typing in text box in the browser. So far I've tried this very forum, composing new message on gmail, and on Facebook.
I have noticed some interesting quirks and am hoping it is an issue of operator error. Some text input fields in web sessions force all uppercase letters and disable the backspace key when using the BT keyboard. While I type this with the famed MOT BT keyboard I had to copy and paste the text into the title in order to get lower case letters. Also, in this message field I am unable to type a nine or open parens but can type both in the title field. Also the arrow keys act like tab keys and will not move the cursor. It is especially frustrating as anytime I try to send a message in Facebook the keyboard forces all caps and disables the back button. Not good for someone like me that types 100WPM with 88 mistakes.
Also when I turn on my Miscrosoft BT 5000 mouse the keyboard starts to go nuts with repeating keys and constantly disconnecting. When I turn the moust off the keyboard is okay except for the issues listed above.
I have the Motorola Bluetooth keyboard and there seen to be a delay in the typing showing on the screen. mainly while in the browser. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a simple fix? Am I missing something? I do not remember this with 3.0.1 but I am not sure.
I'm typing the numerical web address for my media and noted there isn't a colon. i swear there was one before the 3.1 update. Is it gone, or is it so obvious i can't see it?
I've had my xoom for quite some time now and this has bothered me from day one and I can't figure out how to make it stop. On the keyboard, if you hover ever so slightly too long over the "s" or the "e" or any number of letters on the keyboard the xoom changes that to a special character. How do you turn this blasted thing off. I NEVER use those, will NEVER need them and don't want the keyboard to do it.
I have the Motorola keyboard and MS 5000 BT mouse. They each work well individually, however when used together, the keyboard frequently disconnects. When I go to a text field, the software/screen keyboard comes up instead of using the hardware keyboard. If hit a few keys on the hardware keyboard, then it seems to reconnect and I can continue using it. It disconnects again once I leave a text field. I'm using a 3G version of the Xoom, but without 3G activated, so just using WiFi.
I got a Wifi Xoom with 3.0.1 stock firmware (like if I could have it in any other version without voiding warranty) and I'm having some problems with my Moto BT keyboard. It connects well, pairs well, types well and without lag, but from time to time, when writing things longer than an URL or a login (for example an email) one of the letters typed repeats and repeats like holding it's key. It's quite annoying, and one of the times, the repeated key was backspace, so it erased all of the text.
I wanted to verify this was another part of the disabled functionality of Webtop 3.0 vs. 2.0. In 2.0 there was a Settings button for the lapdock that allowed the touchpad's sensitivity to be adjusted. In Webtop 3.0 the only settings adjustment I can find takes me to the phone's Settings which has no category allowing for touchpad sensitivity adjustment. A quick chat with a Motorola "support" person online here suggested there was no longer such an adjustment available, and that they didn't work for Motorola, but would "pass my comment along" to them.
Purchased the Lapdock 500 a couple of days to go to use with my Razr Maxx. Very first time plugged it in and touchpad was not working.Thought it was defective but unplugged phone and plugged in and started working. It was fine yesterday and now today it was working then stopped again. The only difference today is I am using a wireless mouse as well but both were working without any issues earlier. Restarted phone also and still nothing.
is there any way to turn off the tapping feature of the touchpad? I see that I can turn off the touchpad entirely, but I'd like to turn off only the tapping feature as it's waaaay too sensitive.Second, it would be great if future designs allowed the dock screen to be opened further even another 10 or 15 degrees would be awesome.Currently, even opened all the way, it's all but impossible to see the screen clearly when you're using it on your lap ( e.g., sitting in a car ).
Is there a way to adjust touchpad sensitivity, acceleration, scaling, etc.? For some of us, the default settings are too sensitive and result in poor control.
So I had music on my xoom but accidently deleted it. I tried going in my computer files to copy and paste songs from my itunes into my folder on xoom called music but says wrong format. I don't know what to do.
I bought the device few days ago and on very same day updated to Android ver. 3.2. I use internet over my home Wifi and have a Netgear - WGR614 router. The browsing speed is very very slow and most sites dont open. The signal strength shown in xoom is - (-105 dBm 3 asu).Is this a issue with Android 3.2 update or my home wifi is weak? Would i be able to reset the tab to the original version?
Has anyone had any success with using Wifi that required user certificates? I'm trying to get my Xoom to connect to the corporate network (EAP-TLS) and followed the instructions for the IPad and imported my certificated into Android correctly. But when I connect, it hangs at the connecting state for minutes, before finally giving up.
I would like to buy the XOOM speaker dock and play music from my XOOM on a daily basis.... I'm worried about having it plugged (and charging) in too much and that I might GREATLY reduce the battery life by charging my XOOM too much.
Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.80 (Android; Opera Mini/6.1.25577/25.858; U; en) Presto/2.5.25 Version/10.54)I think it's quite obvious that RIM is going to be dumping the Playbook soon.
Is it possible to FLASH a pure Android OS onto this thing, thus making it worth owning?
I had a problem with my phone rebooting every couple of minutes. I followed the reinstall procedure and now the terms and conditions screen is showing but I can't move in ant direction using the touchpad. Pressing it does select things, unlock and OK when I enter password but that's all I can do.
I am having a problem with my BB 8520. The touchpad in the middle of the phone is not allowing me to move it to other icon's, so it is stuck on the Envelope (e-mail) folder and will only open the last e-mail. It will not allow me to view, send or receive anything else Have tried cleaning it as per the view someone kindly posted me, but no luck. I have tried rebooting and also removing battery, but again, no luck! don't really want to have to go out and buy a new BB as I only got this one in January!!
Does anyone know if and how the touchpad can be locked during phone conversations.Every time I'm talking with someone, it seems my face or ear touches the touchpad causing both the person on the other end and myself to hear beeps.
my touch pad on my torch scrolls but will not click on anything. is there anything i can do to get it to work? i just had the phone replaced in december and it crashed in april.
I've had my N97 Mini for a while now. Its pretty good overall but I've encountered one constant problem that keeps occurring when I enter a full screen game. I've recently installed Real Football Manager 2010 by Gameloft, the game is made for n97i and is suppose to be played full screen. When ever I start the game, a annoying touchpad pops up and blocks half the screen. How do you turn this off
