This happened about two months ago. I repeatedly removed the battery and put ii back in and finally it started working again. Now it has stopped working and will not respond to this "fix"I have shut off and on many times. Removed and installed battery at least a dozen times
The track ball on my BB Curve 8330 will scroll left and right but not up or down, which really limits my use of it. I tried taking out the battery, cleaning the ball with alcohol, turning it off and back on. The ball seems loose - not sticky.
My BB Curve is 5 months old and last week the track ball decided to move up on its own. It now does this continuously. My carrier is with Bell. I do not have an extended warranty.
I am having a persistent problem with my phone Track Ball navigation. It keeps getting stuck and does not scroll. I got it fixed by paying a good amount of repairing charge. The phone worked fine for a week but again the track ball has stopped responding. Its creating a huge problem and I do not know where to get it fixed. I am extremely dissatisfied with the phone and Blackberry services.
My trackball was smashed today on my blackberry curve, (beyond repair I will need a new phone) the rest of the phone works. I know how to get to my messages with the short cut, but how do I scroll through each one, and when I am in a message is is possible to scroll while in a message? I have two picture mails that need to be viewed and sent to my e-mail. FYI- when I enter the messages using the short-cut "M" it puts me on the date so I cannot move, hitting the enter key defaults me to send an e-mail!!!
I just got the 8350 curve 3 days ago.. Now my Track ball wont work at all.Today I did drop it but it was working just fine. Then I downloaded a game and a theme.. about 30 mins after the theme it started not to work. The only thing I can do is take a picture. The track ball wont move at all. Left or right. It will take a picture. Is there anything I can do? Please help me if you can.I cant even dial my phone. when i type a name in it wont let me scrool down to the number I need.is there a way to dete the stuff? Or fix the trackball?
I've had my BlackBerry Pearl for 2 years and now the Trackball won't move left or right. I can only text, call and send emails but can't use the phone fully. Both T Moblie and Littlewoods.com (who I bought it off) can't help as the warrenty is over now. I am unhappy with this phone now. I got a Blackberry as it's one of the best phones, but not for me now. What can I do to fix it?
My track ball stopped working correctly and I was advised by my friendly T-Mobile store clerk to use rubbing alcohol on it. it worked!! I can now scroll up & to the right which I could not do..However, the two keys to the right of the track ball stopped working. "back key" and the hang up/power key. They dont do anything.. Also, when pushing the track ball in as to utiltize the "enter function" also does not work.
the phone gets hang and key pad & trackball doesnt work at times ... whnever i receive a call... i need slide the bar up down to answer the phone... But all of sudden it functions well and again hangs on & while... i tried upgrdaing the version... but seems nothing working out I tried many times removing the battery and fixing it back... But problem remains the same...!
Is it just me or is that trackball that they have put one extremely useless and ugly? I Find without the trackball the phone looks very sleek I know blackberry is one of the guys started with trackballs even they are getting rid off it and having trackpads so what is the point of a trackball when you have a touch screen phone?
I scratched off the Verizon logo off my 6 month old BB Tour. At the beginning the track ball would get stuck every once in a great while and it didn't bother me because it wouldn't be that often. Well now it gets stuck ALL the time. Now if I take it to a Verizon store will they trade it since its still under warranty? I also have insurance for it, will the insurance take it back with the logo scratched?
My wife was using the phone scrolling through a forum and when she needed to scroll to the right she found she couldn't. this is the case with all options on the phone. a battery pull doesn't help and she is on o2 Dudley
The roller ball (scroll pad) on my blackberry curve is frozen. Tmobile suggested it software due to it is not a moving mechanical part. This is an unlocked phone.
So my blackberry, which is on contract to orange uk has again broken. the problem is that the tracker ball will not move down. it moves from left to right and moves up but doesnt move down.
I have a BB Curve 8900 and my keyboard and roller-ball seem to be frozen. I had no issues at all on yesterday and then in the evening today everything just sort of...froze. The ball will scroll but I cant click on anything or use ANY of the keys. It registers as getting texts in and my light is blinking but, like I said, I can't access anything at all. I have removed the battery for nearly 12 hours to no avail.
I've had my Curve 8330 since August 2009. The mouse ball stopped working when I move it in the down direction. It works fine going up, left or right, just not down. It did this a few months ago, then miraculously started working again. This time, it started working again for about 20 minutes, and stopped again. I have pulled out the battery and put it back in to do a complete reboot, but to no avail.
My Blackberry is frozen! The curser ball doesn"t do anything at all. It was find and the it just stopped working. And, no, tried turning on and off, taking out battery, no change.
Roller ball rolls fine but nothing scrolls on screen. It is stuck highlighting the email icon and won't go anywhere else. The ball rolls smooth, it doesn't feel like anything is stuck. I've pulled the battery and cleaned the track ball - still nothing. It's like there is no connectivity.
Sisters 8330 turns on and screen lights up fine, but none of the keys work. Including the ball and side keys.Any idea on how to fix? Tried restoring on Desktop Manager but got some sort of error.
The battery on my daughter's BB Curve 9300 went completely flat the other day and will no longer charge in the usual way. However, we have found another way to recharge the battery and after inserting it fully charged to the handset re-booted.
It all re-booted ok but when the password screen appeared it wouldn't respond to any keys on the handset and she can't enter the password. The handset is now permantently locked and won't even switch it off. We've tried removing the battery and re-booting (several times) but no luck.
Is there a dock for the Curve 3G 9330? Something that would let me "stand up" the phone on a night stand as an Alarm Clock and charge (or run phone on DC, non-battery power) at the same time?
I see that you can rollback your OS on virtually all Blackberry phones for various reasons. I have a customer that is wanting to rollback their OS to 4.7 on their Curve 9330 so they can run a farming application called Smart Cow that can only run on OS 4.7!
I need to test a mobile website on a Blackberry Curve 9330. Can I purchase a used one on eBay and use WiFi to play with the browser? I don't want to buy a cell phone plan.
I just got the Blackberry Curve 3G 9330 from Verizon. This morning I loaded Blackberry desktop software (based on the prompts) on my laptop. After setting up the sync function (with a yahoo account), my blackberry screen in blank. There is a blinking red light in the top right face of the phone. It blinks twice every 3 seconds Battery is fully charged and I tried to remove the battery and reinstall it. No change. I tried to hold down the end button to turn it off and nothing happens.
I have a cell phone so I can place and recieve calls and my 9330 won't place calls (it "connects" but there s no sound and when the person "I called" answers there is a clicking sound), answer calls (it rings, and the "talk" nor "select" buttons work) nor play media files through the media plaers (I always get the same error msg "there was an error in playback"). I have no idea if it is related, but "app world" disappeared as well as any screen identifying the OS. I am stymied, frustrated and on my way to being really upset.
