Jul 15, 2010I have long conversations with people via sms sometimes as I get unlimited texts. If there's more than about 10 texts between me and someone and I'm scrolling up (say if I want to remember something that's been said a while back so scroll up to find a previous text) a lot of the time the torch cursor will disappear and it won't let me continue to scroll? It's as if it's frozen but if I exit the text conversation the rest of the phone is fine. And it freezes exactly in the same place every time!

No matter how much I try to rub the 'trackball/trackpad' the cursor just won't reappear.I removed the battery, waited about 2 mins, reinserted it, but the problem persists!Please help! Jan 18, 2010I have started to take note of an issue that started out small, but is becoming a slight drag. At times it happens that when trying to scroll the cursor on the Bold 9700 (touch-pad) to a specific location to type, it seems to have a mind of its own and moves full speed upwards of the page. When trying to force it down it moves accordingly, but the instant my finger leaves the touch pad, it moves back up-wards. Any ideas on this behavior? I tend to do a quick wipe of the phone face area and touch pad, but doesn't help much. It also happens, peculiarly when trying to enter a contact info, or trying to type a message. I am thinking some kind of static or something?

Mar 9, 2012I have the galaxy sii and have only had it a few weeks. awesome bit of kit, I am constantly learning new things about it. bumped into a friend with the same phone who showed me a few things. when I type and make a mistake I have to tap and hold the text box and this little blue tab appears that you can move around. my friend had these arrow keys that meant he could tap back to previously typed words. he said his phone had always been like that. he had to catch a train so we couldnt sit down and find out why they differed! May 24, 2011My 9300 cursor is erratic and does not stop still. It keeps jumping tp the top of the screen when i try to go to an item. If I try to text something its almost impossible as the cursor moves all over the screen. The phone is about 10 months old and has not been dropped recently. Ive reduced the sensitivity on the trackpad but this has had no affect whatsoever.

Mar 14, 2011Whilst browsing the internet my "cursor" has suddenly stopped working. My "cursor" - the little black arrow - is still there but when hover over a search box for example and "click" my trackball nothing happens, similarly if the little hand symbol appears on a link if I "click" the trackball nothing happens. I've discovered I can press return when the hand appears and it goes to the link, but this is no use when only the arrow appears.

Apr 14, 2010I am currently on my 2nd X6 after the first one had a fault which made the cursor move by itself when composing a message (I always hold it at the regular portrait angle). It would also do the same with the delete button, sometimes I would press delete once, for example on a spelling error and the X6 would just carry on deleting, wiping out all of my message.So I have a new one and exactly the same is happening! The cursor flys around the screen, usually in the backwards direction, making a 30 second message turn into a 5 minute long nightmare. Im on o2, it is the 16 Gb model. Anyone know why it is doing this? I have taken the screen film off as I though that maybe that was interfering with the touch sensitivity, but it seems to be an internal error. It is infuriating losing a message, especially when I am on the move and can't use 2 hands to wrestle with this HAL-like behaviour The very fact I have had to sign in to this forum sums up how poor Nokia devices are.

Feb 14, 2011I'm new to the forum and have some frustration after "upgrading" to OS 6. I have a Curve 3G through Verizon Wireless, and when I got it a month ago all was great with OS 5. I updated it to OS 6 when it came out a couple weeks ago from VZW, and since then have had a ton of problems. The first was battery drain, which was solved by removing BBM. The second is more frustrating. Since the upgrade, my cursor seems to jump out of my text message or email very easily while typing. I also notice that when selecting apps it seems that my trackpad jumps around quite easily. They both seem to be exaggerated when outside or sitting near a light or window. It almost acts like the trackpad is effected by light and is causing the cursor to be moved out of my message or around my screen since I've updated software versions. I have tried several battery pulls without success and while I enjoy the new features of OS 6, I don't enjoy the hassles. I feel like the only way to solve the issue is to go back to OS 5 untl there are some patches to fix some of these bugs.

Feb 24, 2010In the middle of BMM-ing I lose the cursor - I can still type, but I don't see any text appear as I type, but once I hit enter, it delivers whatever I typed. It's very annoying!Only way I've been able to get it back, is to end the chat, which is annoying if you ever want to refer back to what someone typed (like a phone number or something).
Also, I get a phantom new msg red light when receiving multiple msgs at once -I have already tried many battery pulls, restarting and re-installing.
BB Torch :: Lost The I On The Keyboard
May 11, 2011I lost the " i" on the keyboard. Instead of the i I have some kind of |, i.e. a small vertical stripe without a point on top. This makes searches in the address book impossible (whenever I am looking for something with the " i" included).
The capital letter I is not a problem. I downloaded recently the app " Compass Pro" . Could this be a reason?
