I know that maybe it is an old question, but I continue to receive each 15 minutes RIM NETWORK MESSAGES and I am not able to stop them.I read that is was related to Blackberry desktop SOftware, but I disinstalled and reinstalled it with no success.
View 1 RepliesMy Curve 9300 has been working fine for the past year and all of a sudden the phone seems to disconnect from the network without any error code etc. As a result, no calls in or out are able to be made / received, BBM's and emails the same issue. All indications are that the service is up and running. The SW is version 6 and apparently is up to date.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy BB curve 9300 does not detect the 3G network even when I do a manual scan. This won't connect to 3G network in the automatic 3G & 2G mode also. I am on Windmobile which has a 3G Wind Home network and 2G Wind Away which is considered as roaming. I tried re-installing the OS 6.0 Bundle1879 after a security wipe still there is no change.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI started to ask for help from the forum then solved it my self, so here is the problem AND below, the answer: I am trying to connect my 9300 to my home WiFi network ( LinkSys WRT54GS V4.0 router). The Curve can see my home Network when I scan but the connection brakes immediately, give an error message like it couldn't associate with the network.
I have spent hours waiting for and talking to: Telus: who reviewed my phone setup and told me the problem must be with the cable providerShaw Cable: who told me they had nothing to do with it and it must be a problem with my routerLinkSys: who told me that since my laptop had no problem seeing the internet that it must be my phone.....Then I tried RIM but couldn't find anything of help except (my last hope) the forums, where I found some inspiration and kept lookingMy Black Berry Curve 9300 is set up as follows: Options: Mobile Services > Data Services 'Off' (I don't want to run up big data bills unintentionally with pay-as-you-go data)Options > Advanced > Browser > HotspotUnder Manage Connections:Mobile Network: 'Telus' (has checkmark after),Wi-Fi 'On' (has black box with white line after)Manage Connections > Wi-Fi Options > Active Wi-Fi Connection = None (even after finding & saving my Network profile)Finally, I updated my Router software. It didn't help but I did learned how to back up my settings (Router Software > Administration > Config Management > Backup)
(Settings = all my addresses for the MAC filter etc. & other non default settings I'd made to increase wireless security)

View 1 Replies View Relatedwhen i set my curve 9300 to manual network selection, and i select my networ, if i go in a palce underground or something and i lose the signal, the phone doesn' t pick up the signal automatically when i am back in a coverage area. instead, i find an alert window that says "can't find home network and asks me to chose whether i waast to: set it to automatic, go into settings, or cancel" and i have to either go in settings and select it again or jsut set it to automatic and it will find it. in other smart phones it usually gives that alert, but as soon as i am back in a coverage area, it picks up the home network on its own without having to go to settings. so is this the normal behavior?
View 2 Replies View RelatedHave a BB curve 9300 3g, software ver 6. on a payg contract with Tesco. It worked fine until this morning when I noticed it was rebooting (the same as a battery pull) constantly. It would boot, update security and reboot again. Finally managed to switch off wifi and mobile network to see if this made a difference and the rebooting stopped. I've since switched on wifi, and this is fine.
But as soon as the mobile network is turned on it will try to obtain a signal and within 2 or 3 seconds will start rebooting again. I've tried it with different battery, different sim, with and without microsd card, deleting all apps, upgrading software to latest version etc etc but nothing works. Right now I have a mobile phone which is of no use as it cannot receive a mobile signal.
on my blackberry curve 9300 when i type a text over one line long and press send it just dissapears and doesn't send.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently updated my Curve 9300 to the 6.6.0.207 OS and since then whenever I recieve a text message and I click to open it up it will open my previous text message, and it will do this multipul times, however it doesn't seem to do this every time, it appears to be when I haven't replied to the previous message (But even then that's not always the case)Any ideas why this is happening?

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy wife has a bb 9300 3g on os6 and everything has been fine.However somehow she has screwed up the wi-fi settings.The phone will not connect to our home router and displays the rror message " failed to obtain an IP address".I hve tried everything on the phone from
- Removing the wi-fi setting and reentering them.
- Entering the details manually
- Removing the battery and rebooting the phone
- Reinstally the os over the computer
Nothing seems to work. I know the router is fine as I have the same phone and it connects ok along with several other devices.Has anyone any suggestions before I reset the phone to factory setting?

A while ago I remember having to restart my phone because it would take FOREVER to re-connect to the network after going through a tunnel on transit, if it even reconnected. One day after doing that I began receiving this message: And I get it all the time. Probably a minimum of 3 times a day. I understand that on occasion I will lose my connection, and it was never a big deal, however now that I get the pop up in front of whatever I'm doing it really bugs me. Does anyone else get this? Frequently, I have chosen GPRS as the default priority 1 and automatic connection. Even though I am getting the message, tell me how to block the message.
I upgraded to the .419 release last night. Seems to be pretty good so far.The weird thing I am seeing today is that whenever I do a battery pull (several times today re-registering apps) I get a email in the Message box saying something about registration on the network was successful.
