My BB curve 9300 does not detect the 3G network even when I do a manual scan. This won't connect to 3G network in the automatic 3G & 2G mode also. I am on Windmobile which has a 3G Wind Home network and 2G Wind Away which is considered as roaming. I tried re-installing the OS 6.0 Bundle1879 after a security wipe still there is no change.
View 6 RepliesMy Curve 9300 has been working fine for the past year and all of a sudden the phone seems to disconnect from the network without any error code etc. As a result, no calls in or out are able to be made / received, BBM's and emails the same issue. All indications are that the service is up and running. The SW is version 6 and apparently is up to date.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI started to ask for help from the forum then solved it my self, so here is the problem AND below, the answer: I am trying to connect my 9300 to my home WiFi network ( LinkSys WRT54GS V4.0 router). The Curve can see my home Network when I scan but the connection brakes immediately, give an error message like it couldn't associate with the network.
I have spent hours waiting for and talking to: Telus: who reviewed my phone setup and told me the problem must be with the cable providerShaw Cable: who told me they had nothing to do with it and it must be a problem with my routerLinkSys: who told me that since my laptop had no problem seeing the internet that it must be my phone.....Then I tried RIM but couldn't find anything of help except (my last hope) the forums, where I found some inspiration and kept lookingMy Black Berry Curve 9300 is set up as follows: Options: Mobile Services > Data Services 'Off' (I don't want to run up big data bills unintentionally with pay-as-you-go data)Options > Advanced > Browser > HotspotUnder Manage Connections:Mobile Network: 'Telus' (has checkmark after),Wi-Fi 'On' (has black box with white line after)Manage Connections > Wi-Fi Options > Active Wi-Fi Connection = None (even after finding & saving my Network profile)Finally, I updated my Router software. It didn't help but I did learned how to back up my settings (Router Software > Administration > Config Management > Backup)

View 1 Replies View Relatedwhen i set my curve 9300 to manual network selection, and i select my networ, if i go in a palce underground or something and i lose the signal, the phone doesn' t pick up the signal automatically when i am back in a coverage area. instead, i find an alert window that says "can't find home network and asks me to chose whether i waast to: set it to automatic, go into settings, or cancel" and i have to either go in settings and select it again or jsut set it to automatic and it will find it. in other smart phones it usually gives that alert, but as soon as i am back in a coverage area, it picks up the home network on its own without having to go to settings. so is this the normal behavior?
View 2 Replies View RelatedHave a BB curve 9300 3g, software ver 6. on a payg contract with Tesco. It worked fine until this morning when I noticed it was rebooting (the same as a battery pull) constantly. It would boot, update security and reboot again. Finally managed to switch off wifi and mobile network to see if this made a difference and the rebooting stopped. I've since switched on wifi, and this is fine.
But as soon as the mobile network is turned on it will try to obtain a signal and within 2 or 3 seconds will start rebooting again. I've tried it with different battery, different sim, with and without microsd card, deleting all apps, upgrading software to latest version etc etc but nothing works. Right now I have a mobile phone which is of no use as it cannot receive a mobile signal.

I wonder if this phone can not work on CDMA networks.

No computer in my home will detect my BB Curve 8330.
I have a Mac and a PC. I have tried both Desktop managers. My g/f has the exact phone and both computers and desktop managers will detect her phone. I have tried all posted solutions (clearing cache. hard reset, checked the mass storage device). Rebooted both computers. The one thing that my USB cable will do on my Mac is charge my phone. There is no "Do you want to enable mass storage... " when I plug it in to the Mac USB.
I'm trying to set up bluetooth synchronization for my 8900 now that I am no longer on a BES.I picked up an Asus USB BT-21 bluetooth adapter for my PC, which is apparently based on Broadcom hardware. I'm running Win7 64 bit and installed the Broadcom drivers for the adapter. Desktop manager manages to find every other blackberry in my building except for mine. At the bottom of the instructions, it says that a conflicting IT policy might be the cause of this problem. I bought the device a month ago and had a brand new battery installed in no later than yesterday.Battery life is about 3 to 5 hours at the very best, whilst I am not using any specific 3rd party application.In addition, the "clock" apprears on a very frequent basis, slowing the system dramatically.I do not have any files saved on the media card ... Wi-fi has been disabled already as have Bluetooth. LAt, connection the mobile network is fine so I do not believe it has to do with the device desperately seeking connection.PS: I am based in France with SFR being my provider.

However,Things I have tried so far: I have used the desktop software's upgrade function to upgrade but every time I get the message that, there is no upgrade available. I also downloaded my carrier (MTN - South Africa) specific software the "9300M_PBr6.0.0_rel1879_PL6.6.0.124_A6.0.0.448" file and installed it onto my computer. I then connected my BB and tried to upgrade but was still unsuccessful.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've a 9300 on T-Mobile UK with BB Worldwide booster, which I thought was for email. At the top right is "3G BB (icon)". I think the BB refers to the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS)..I'm in France and have used by BB to connect to the internet directly and also using it as a 3G modem via Desktop Software to my netbook. After downloading several MBs of data, I am relieved to find that although all the MBs of data appear on my account, using Orange france, there is not a single charge for the data. I am assuming that using the BIS also includes www data as well as email.
There are also some BlackBerry.net entries - which I assume are for the GPS maps etc.
I bought a blackberry curve 9300 4 days ago and today it fully ran out of charge. I put it on charge and now it won't charge or switch on. If I take the battery out and put it back in and then put it on charge, a red light comes on for about 10-15 seconds and then nothing else happens. Ive only had it 4 days and this has never happened before.
