Jan 13, 2012Thus the BB Curve 8520 can't detect wireless from laptop? Because I try to share my wi-fi using connectify. It seems the 8520 can't detect but my iPhone can detect it.

Jun 10, 2014I just bought the new Z2, it was great until I can't sync or back up my data to my laptop. My laptop is using Window 7 and I have updated the phone to 17.1.1.A0.402 version. Beside that I also updated the Sony PC Companion, yet nothing can I do to sync or back up to my laptop even y using wifi or usb cable (original from the box). My laptop also can't detect the Z2 device too.

May 4, 2012im on o2 with a bb curve 8520 and im trying to update to os5 i dont have a data cable so was looking to update through the wireless update feature.I know this can be done as i have read web pages and seen vids but it doesnt work for me it says no updates available. I spoke to the rubbish cs at 02 who told me it isnt possible to wireless update your os on a bb curve 8520.

No computer in my home will detect my BB Curve 8330.
I have a Mac and a PC. I have tried both Desktop managers. My g/f has the exact phone and both computers and desktop managers will detect her phone. I have tried all posted solutions (clearing cache. hard reset, checked the mass storage device). Rebooted both computers. The one thing that my USB cable will do on my Mac is charge my phone. There is no "Do you want to enable mass storage... " when I plug it in to the Mac USB.

Jul 24, 2010I'm trying to set up bluetooth synchronization for my 8900 now that I am no longer on a BES.I picked up an Asus USB BT-21 bluetooth adapter for my PC, which is apparently based on Broadcom hardware. I'm running Win7 64 bit and installed the Broadcom drivers for the adapter. Desktop manager manages to find every other blackberry in my building except for mine. At the bottom of the instructions, it says that a conflicting IT policy might be the cause of this problem. Well, im not a very heavy BB user but ive never had my batt go dead on me but it happened! i totally couldnt turn my phone on until i put in my charger.Then it happens randomly whereby my phone will heat up and the battery drops 5% every 10mins or so! until it shuts off!! It happened once right after i fully charged my phone and it shut off within the next hour.Anyone knows whats happening?? i suspected whether it was any of my installed apps that are draining my batt, so i shut off everything! i mean no msn no foursquare no twitter only emails are on but yet it still happens!!Help please? i hope its just the batt thats screwed not my phone.

However since it has a cap on data per month I want it to be secondary to several other unlimited WiFi networks such as my office WiFi, home WiFi, free WiFi hotspots, etc. Is there any work around to make the MiFi wireless (or any permanent wireless network) 2nd to all other recognized networks? This is the ideal set-up for my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 WiFi. I don't want to have to turn the MiFi on and off constantly, I want it on in the background as a seamless secondary option. I appreciate any insight and find it odd that you cannot prioritize networks. Meaning if I "forgot this network" and start over will the 1st joined or most recent joined become primary when there are multiple networks available?

Aug 11, 2010I have an ATT 8520 Curve unlocked to work with a tmobile sim card and have a few questions...Now that's unlocked I cant setup an external email account (hotmail, gmail, etc...) that icon is missing from the setup section. how can I get that feature? can I also use the bbm feature? I added a friend (and vice-versa) but it just stays as pending. is it possible to bbm? for the above 2 do i need to get the bb data plan so they can work? I've read elsewhere that the best way to get the features would be to load the tmobile handheld software. I went to tmobiles site, I enter my ph# - select the 8520 - click on handheld and it takes me to their 'shop for phones' page. I guess they now by the number that i dont currently have a bb. So I tried a friends ph# from tmobile who has a bb and it still took me to the 'shop for phones' page. So I Am hoping it's just a link glitch going on right now. I did download from this forum the 5.0 OS "8520wifiM_PBr5.0.0_rel860_PL5.2.0.47_A5.0.0.509_W ind_Hellas.exe" which obviously is not tmobile. What would loading this different OS allow me to do? Or what features will I have available? and I have lowercase 'edge'.
